  1. The starting bid would have been low for this copy. Strong price as you said.
  2. Originally it was listed on Ebay during that time for 35K, so that's about right. Here's the link of the collection history..fun stuff. http://www.galaxycomicsonline.com/MichalkeCollection.php
  3. It will be interesting to see what the final hammer price this copy can fetch.
  4. If you don't mind, I can. The CGC 8.5 sold along the CGC 7.5 during the auction fatigue in the end of the year. Early in the year, Roy and I stated prices of Hulk 1 has begun to move upwards.
  5. In the AF15 club a few boardie mention a very nice: CGC 5.5 sold on ebay 3/9/17 $41750 (this ended before the CC auction) later another copy in CGC 4.5 (with MC) sold on ebay 3/26/17 $26000 (after the CC auction) I also recalled a CGC 5.5 (with MC) sold in the boards for $33500? (after the CC auciton?) Maybe a boardie can confirm.
  6. It can be a hard decision. For books I really like, I tend to always have two copies. One I may sell in a future date, or an upgrade.
  7. The trend is quite clear on copies 7.5+, just waiting for the other grades to confirm the large move.
  8. I had about ten SC22, unloaded 8 and kept two...8.5...7.5. I'm not comparing to the three you are mentioning. As long as you sold your SC22 during the peak and reinvested for something else, you will do just fine. If you held on your SC22, you are still doing just fine...but depends on your expectation.
  9. I feel you. I wish I would have went for a Batman 1 2.0+. Now I have to settled for a 1.8 green, but decent PQ.
  10. It's healthy for the market to have skeptics. There will be back filling of AF15's on this recent gap upwards which has happened the last week. If one had held their SC22, prices has jumped 50% from the peak during the GL movie. AF15's had gap up in 2008, pulled back and stabilized and move forward again. There should be more sales to confirm recent large run-up, but the shipped has sailed, if one expect prices of a few months ago.
  11. I agree, if it was being a CGC copy, it would perform better. It's going to be a record for a 5.5 for the other company. I wouldn't call this copy strong MC, for I've seen worst in a 6.0 holder. But then again, there are other dis-tractors as you mentioned.
  12. That definitely sums it on all those books you mention. Though I think if the SC4 8.0 WP was offered in an auction format, it would have performed better. Currently, SC4 and BB28 prices has stabilized and a hold.
  13. Early Sup covers has been performing well and seems under rated to the pre-robbins. An Action 15 3.0 recently sold on CC for over 7600, and a Action 13 1.5 qualified on the CL for 12600. I wonder if these early Sup will echo how well these pre-robbins have been performing lately.
  14. My same thought as Dark Knight. The question is will the prices satisfied the consignors expectations.
  15. Yup, Heritage is a great place for high resolution scans. In this current stance, chips will not be taken lightly and true "Marvel chips" get a easier pass (more so before 2016).
  16. Thanks for the chart. I recall during that period time, lots of folks were in a complete shock of Hulk 1 price upward gap. With the high prices, dealers and collectors with extra copies was flipping at higher prices. When more supplies came to the market, prices began to fall and stabilized...and gradual increase. We'll see if this correlate with the current momentum with AF15. Though I see, there is a stronger hands with AF15. There will be some bumps in the road, filling the gaps.
  17. Tanning/Interior Tanning is getting hit more starting in early 2016.
  18. +1, I recall see and AF15 7.5 with chips also and it sat and sat unsold on Ebay for quite awhile.
  19. SC4 5.0 is a scarce club to be in. Congrats!
  20. AF15's in 6.0+ are so scarce now in the market place, even this copy with MC will have fierce competition to own it. I guess the 6.0 is the new high grade arena for this book due to the gap up prices we have seen recently.
  21. That's a nice SC22 with Off-white/white pages...not to mention the BB28 too! Welcome to the club.
