  1. +1 The popularity of Super-Heroes has increased demand for this hobby and billions of dollars are spent on related movies and merchandises worldwide.
  2. The market moves very quickly these days and it's really pricing out a lot of folks and causing a lot of confusion. This increase is for real and watch for a entry level/price that is comfortable for you.
  3. You're welcome and you are building a wonderful collection.
  4. I believe you came into the Vintage Comic market full force the last few years. BTW, you have awesome books in your signature.
  5. You had a great 7.0 too. Hey, I thought I had a great price for my former two 6.0's no chip copies too.
  6. Regardless...up or down in this bumpy road. A great privilege to own any AF15 copy or copies.
  7. I recalled you sold the 7.0...within hours of the listing. That was a great 7.0 also.
  8. This time around will be different. There will be pullbacks and outlier along this dramatic sharp increase. There is so much more new money entering the Vintage Comic market with increase worldwide demand. I see AF15 will continue to increase with the inflation rate (yes, there may be slower growth at times). It's an asset one can enjoy and have the privilege to own one of the famous "Stan the Man" creation.
  9. Unfortunately, I do not have the scan. The book was there for at least three months at CC till around middle of last month. I felt when the H1 9.0 sold last year for 275K at CL, it was a bit strong. As you said, that selling too soon can hurt the price/cost, since there was another one up at CC during the same period.
  10. With more supply of H1 in 8.0's and 9.0's offered in the last six months, it didn't do this H1` 9.0 justice. Not to mention a H1 9.0 sat on CC for a bid for 230K which the listing when poof a month ago.
  11. That's a stunning 7.0 with WP's with great colors.
  12. Did see the the Avengers 1 too. There were other Marvels/Publishers, but majority DC's.
  13. This is not considered restoration, but green label books are great too. Married pages or covers, but still all original.
  14. It was a bit softer than than the exchange sale last year, but still a great copy.
  15. Still a very decent copy with great colors and the cover is still intact and not split. The colors just pop in this copy with the green glow.
  16. Thanks for the link. Interesting that some titles have a gap of 10 months apart, due to the vacation home stay time frame. Wow, and the only Spiderman book was an Amazing Fantasy 15...and more DC related too.
  17. Welcome to the club and looks a lot better than the copy you were seeking.
  18. 7.5+ is extremely rare in the market place. A few of the earlier club entries may still have their copy. Good luck!
  19. True. Cooler climate and stored well and the kids really took care of them. Was there a lot of early Marvel's in this collections or perhaps early DC's SA?
  20. I see. I recall in the old AF15 Club tread, you showed an image of a 7.0 WP and I believe it's this copy. This really confirms the bone white pages of this copy, since it stills retains it's WP designation as an 8.5. Again, thanks for sharing the origin of this copy. You and I should be proud of our 8.0's...only 49 copies in 8.0+ in the CGC census.
  21. The very very light printing streaks on the middle of the cover gave it away. Here's the link of the book. http://www.cvacomics.com/index.php/gallery/128-af15-8-5.html
  22. Thanks for sharing the history of this book Brannon. This book currently resides as an 8.5 WP.
  23. Perhaps currently the floor of an 8.0 is 200k. From the bids in this auction, sure seems like three bidders are willing to go that route. Bidders willing to step up to the plate, so they can secure this a copy in a 8.0. Remember in 1990's the White Mountain copy sold for 40K and that was absurd and raised a lot of eyebrows. I've could not predicted this but felt 200k was possible.
  24. Got mine yesterday...thickest CC catalogue by far.
