  1. You'll be the first one if I decide....because you almost pried it off my hands years ago Maybe...another one will show up.. I was considering asking you to trade your SC22 8.5 for my SC4 5.5 OW, but you have a SC4 7.5 already.... Thanks for thinking of me. There hasn't been any new SC22 in 8.5+ in the CGC census for about five years. The last 8.0 sold in Heritage in 2013...it tells me SC22 is very rare in 8.5+....anything 7.0+ plus is tough.

  5. This is why collectors have always sought out books with white pages...and have always been willing to pay more for them, CGC or no CGC. And your mighty Hulk 1 WP's. Here's the back of the SC22 WP's. http://i588.photobucket.com/albums/ss322/richla73/CIMG3458.jpg' alt='CIMG3458.jpg'>
  6. didn't/doesn't peewee own it and didn't I sell it to him (I recall him buying a 7.5 from me, but can't recall pq on it...if I had of had multiple 7.5's , I definitely would have remembered the pq ) Peewee owned the 7.5 OW/W that came from you. That 7.5 went to a few hands...don't know where it is now. Thanks sir!

  8. woah those are two mega keys congrats Most definitely I've consigned a few high dollar books with CC and have always been pleased with the results. You should do fine. +1 That 7.0 should hit 50k or more easily If great eye appeal and structure. Yes...easily.
  9. I'd probably prefer the first one, without the writing on the cover. How about this:
  10. Is this a trick question? Everybody knows books with better page quality sell for more! No trick...you know the answer.
  11. If auction at the same time, which books will sell for more? Assuming no upgrade potential This: or that: This: or Bob's BB28: This: or that:
  12. In the extraordinarily unlikely event a situation like that ever arose, it may sell "first". But "more"? As the data suggests, probably not. -J. If two books were priced at the same price, the better PQ will sell first. At the same time, the better PQ will be priced higher.

  14. The problem with this data is the market moves so quickly in a given time. If one has two books to choose at the same time with almost the same structure (centering, chips, no chips), the book with better PQ will always sell more.
  15. Old CGC labels has a very good chance of a PQ bump. Off-white to white pages and white pages are uncommon in the early days of CGC...to strict. There accuracy is consistence now with off-white+ books and the respective PQ.
  16. I value and I see the market value off-white+ DC SA keys more than the respective lower PQ. Of course, like any other books, eye appeals is the deciding factor. In occasion a book with cream/off white pages can be value more than a off-white only if with the eye appeal; such as, structure, colors, centering is top notch. CGC has been very accurate on the page quality. In 95% off the time an off-white page+ book will present much better than a cream/white pages...the freshness...the suppleness...the glow...and more gloss. Brave and the Bold 28 and Showcase 22 in cream/off with pages is the normal, so discount here. But off-white+ pages and nice eye appeal...a premium.
  17. Nice bump for one of the top three DC SA and undervalued with great potential.
  18. I remember Boba almost made the 5.5 trade a while back.
  19. (thumbs u -J. I think 5K is a bit stretching it right now. Time to grade my under copy...maybe a 5.0-5.5. A 4.0 sold for about $4400 and a 4.5 sold for $4500 a little while ago. I think a nice presenting 4.5 would have a shot at $5k with how the book seems to have picked up recently. If not, perhaps a tad bit less IMO. (thumbs u -J. Depends on how long a while back you meant...it's like less than a few months ago. No doubt 4.5 will hit that mark sooner or later. (thumbs u I would like to see a few more strong prices to confirm the next leg up.

  21. And I understand your point as well. I've believed in 'never say never' since my teenage years...but I made that statement with the point being that as far as trends are concerned one will 'never' pass the other...meaning you could have a 'one off' where one book sells for a higher price than the other but it's an outlier. Like when a book that will press up a grade or two breaks a record. The only reason the book is breaking the record is because it's in the wrong grade to begin with. Yes, I realize DC could buy Marvel and drive Spidey into the ground in order to make the Flash their flagship character and then SC #4 will overtake AF #15 and I would eat my 'never', but this is a very unlikely scenario. Oh I totally know what your saying, and agree that it would be very very very unlikely that SC4 constantly sells over AF15. However correct me if I am wrong (way to young to be involved in the keys years ago), did SC4 not outperform AF15 for a number of years (until Spider-man took the big spotlight and pumped out like Deadpool is now)? I remember when the Flash TV series in the 1990's propelled Showcase 4 over AF15. I believe in the OSPG 22nd edition, SC4 jumped like 30%+ and I wouldn't be surprise to see a big jump in the 2015 OSPG. The current Flash TV series and interests has moved SC4 up to new heights. Currently, both Flash and Spiderman are in the limelight...so both will move up. But AF15 is the BIGGER key book. Marvel is the KING in the Silver Age.
  22. I should have held onto this copy I had back in 2009. ended up selling it for $2,275. I sold it becuz there was talk on the boards at that time about SC4 being a dead book, and that it may even drop over time. lesson learned about not listening to all the "board banter" and stick with what you believe. wonder where it is today and what it would sell for, as it was a nice presenting 3.0 copy. Wow...that's a great looking 3.0. This book was dead in 2006-2010. Sorry to see you let it go.
  23. The operative words being right now. If they screw up the character too much, fans might defect from Spidey. You mean Hulk right. Your 6.0 is a pedigree...hard to beat that. Thanks (thumbs u No I meant Spidey. I think Hulk has more universal appeal (on film at least) than Spidey, and (Hulk) could also surpass him if they mess with the character too much. It felt like HULK almost smash Spidey a few months ago. Now Flash trying to run over Spidey. Hulk tried now Flash...
