  1. True Brian, and you are the eye appeal/page quality elitist.
  2. I guess, it's not a exact science to evaluate perfectly on restored comics. But we can agree, entry levels/to own a copy of mega keys are up there.
  3. Looks like a bidding frenzy for this Showcase 22 CGC 7.5. https://www.comicconnect.com/bookSearch.php?title=showcase&issue=22 Showcase 22 in CGC 7.0+ are so seldom offered, so to be expected.
  4. I was thinking 500-550K. Isn't this the highest price ever paid for restored comic?
  5. I haven't done an Amazing Fantasy 15 valuation for a while. Since the dusk has settled. Here's my price list for unrestored Amazing Fantasy 15. Copies with nice eye a appeal/page quality are a premium these days. So nice eye appeal copies can command 5-10% more and copies with less eye you can deduct 5-10%. Enjoy! 9.6 1.1-1.5 Million 9.4 700-775K 9.2 450-550K 9.0 350-400K 8.5 250-300K 8.0 190-225K 7.5 130-150K 7.0 90-110K 6.5 58-70K 6.0 48-55K 5.5 39-45K 5.0 35-38K 4.5 25-30K 4.0 22-24K 3.5 18-21.5K 3.0 15.5-17K 2.5 13-15K 2.0 11.5-12.5K 1.8 9.5-11K 1.5 8-9K 1.0 7-7.5K .05 5.5-6.5K
  6. Okay, but as it sounds, it went for at least 300K. My point is a book not super restored would do better.
  7. It's a 9.6 super restored...and is it a confirmed sale?
  8. Definitely will be a record for a restored or conserve copy. I bet a super franken book of AC1 or TEC27 will not go as strong.
  9. An AC1 5.5 Conserved sold in the last CC event auction for 393K..so sky the limit.
  10. It sold as a 9.2 in CL for around 60K. Reece sold it perhaps 200-250K? He did sell a nice 8.5 to Foolkiller for 60K and originally listed at his site for 75K.
  11. I believe Gary Dolgoff listed that book a few times with a 29K starting bid price. Same here, I wonder if it will get some action this time at a lower starting bid.
  12. I'm sure the seller wants to make a profit on it, so 201K will not do it. As you said, perhaps if a higher offer (with profits)...it will sell.
  13. I agree, decent 3.5 and it sold within ten days. If this copy didn't have chips, would command a 25%+ premium.
  14. I wonder if the reserve on the 9.2 was 250K. Interesting to see if the book will be offered again.
  15. Here's the 3.5 being discussed. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Amazing-Fantasy-1962-15-CGC-3-5-0039103001-/311946599427?_trksid=p2047675.l2557&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&nma=true&si=%2FNKz5DTEpMZIMLBH4G2NHD5VYb8%3D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc
  16. Did you check with GPA? You already check with those sites you mentioned? There are a many more dealers/consignment sites that report to George. Heronext chimed in regarding the SC4 7.5 sold for 107K last week. It's reported to GPA, by these dealers/consignment sites.
  17. At times, a small dot of glue will be make a small bindery tear less noticeable. Perhaps these small CT and glue makes the book more aesthetic.
  18. Wow, this copy was just sold about four months ago and a double asking price. I remember you mentioned this copy and later Bob Storms sold it on ebay and went to Comiclink, ComicConnect and then... This copy traveled everywhere.
  19. It's on GPA, so it's a known auction dealer/consignment sites. Ask GPA or maybe a dealer we broker it can chime it.
  20. . I'm very fortunate to have this copy with great registration and PQ.
  21. Doesn't have to be the same venue when re-sold. Check out the Action 1 Blue label 3.0 which resold close to half mil in early 2016 and originally sold in Heritage Auctions in late 2014. Check GPA.
