  1. Very nice stash spiderturtle has, a 9.0 shouldn't be a stretch. Same here.
  2. Didn't realized about that. I better check on this. Thanks.
  3. The AF15 8.5 was sold during the time when the book has not exploded in price tremendously. There were no real FMV value for the book established in the 8.0+, except a few stale GPA data or Comiclink sales. I had an estimated around at least 150K for this 8.5 copy and it ultimately ended at 155K. Also, keep in mind when the first Comiclink AF15 8.0 came to the market, many folks had an estimate of 110-125K. I had early estimate at 125k+ and anything can happen in this silly market. As AF15 became a higher demanded book during that time before the auction ended. I had a high estimate of 200K, and the 261K blew my high end estimate out of the water. True in some cases, if a book is at auction more quickly or re-sold to quickly...prices will be weaker or not as strong....unless purchased less than FMV the first time around.
  4. Maybe sometimes in our lifetime or maybe not. I agree not anytime soon.
  5. Congrats on the purchase of the H1 9.0 for your customer...a terrific price point for this book in this grade. H1 in low grades have been steadily climbing and high grades has been performing well. The Heritage 8.0 last sold for 89K a few months ago and probably will sell over 100K now, so 230K for the 9.0 was a good deal. I agree, currently with no Hulk 1 in 9.0+ in the market, prices will hold and will rise. Peewee22 AF15 8.0 and my AF15 8.0 is currently going no where, so you can assume a few less 8.0's will be offered to the market or at least the better eye appeal two-8.0's out there.
  6. A mild pullback of 5-10% has already begun. I don't expect crash or a sharp pullback similar to the gap up on Hulk 1 a few years ago. Again, Hulk 1 snap back handsomely the last six months. If one is thinking to collect and own an AF15 copy, this is a welcome pauses that refreshes. Good luck all.
  7. Terrific copy and hard to locate in 5.0+.
  8. Strong price, with two 8.0's auctions only a few months a part. I had a conversation with Doug and I say that it will end around 235K and max 250K.
  9. Still have not see these books registered in the CGC census, so probably by next week the census will reflect these two awesome books. Thanks.
  10. So this copy is being offered raw, drop off to CGC, or perhaps offered in the Voldy case there?
  11. Possibly to pry loose the Cap 1 9.4. I just don't think a Pep 22 can reach 1 million. Would love to see more Cap 1 blue label in 5.0+ to auction.
  12. I recall the highest listed price was 956K...perhaps may reach there soon for a SC4 9.6.
  13. There's actually a lot of million dollar books out there. Recently a Detective Comics 27 CGC 5.0 sold for 710K and last year a Action Comics 1 CGC 5.5 sold for $950K. So any blue label Action 1 6.0+ or Detective Comics 27 6.5+ are million dollar books. Of course if you remove these two books, the list shrinks.
  14. Any news on this 8.5 copy yet? Have not seen it registered in the CGC census.
  15. I remember going to all the 7 elevens and scooping up all the 361s newsstand. I would agree that the 361 newsstand copies had a less rate of return..probably less than 5%. With all the hype on 361, I decided to buy 100 copies on 362 and 500 copies of 363 and many others speculated on those books as well. Since with all this Caranage news, 362 and 363 is continuing to dry up. Wish I still had that many of 361-363 as I did before.
