  1. To be able to convey someone's appearance when covered in a cowl is really an amazing skill. The Keaton especially is so on point.
  2. @greggy is an enigma. So kind, so generous, yet soooo dorky.
  3. Hey Jim, Sorry about this and sorry about all the people that don't know your history of awesomeness here. I found an EBay chat from last year where the exact thing happened to a PowerSeller. Here is an excerpt of what he was sent. Your eBay account has been permanently suspended because we noticed activity that we believe is a risk to our community. This means the following: - You can’t buy or sell on eBay any longer. Any other accounts that you own or that are associated with this account have also been suspended. - Outstanding selling fees are due immediately, and any amounts that you haven’t previously disputed will be charged to the payment method we have on file. The safety of our community is a top priority for us, so our decision to permanently suspend your account is final and can’t be appealed. If you have any concerns or questions regarding this matter, select Help & Contact at the top of most eBay pages. We removed the following listings: It ended up being a situation where he and his partner had another account and the partner quit paying EBay its fees properly. So they permabanned all his accounts. Here is a link: https://community.ebay.com/t5/Selling/eBay-keeps-banning-my-accounts-and-will-not-explain-why/td-p/31737232/page/2 I didn't read the whole thing. There might be more helpful stuff in the thread. --Sean.
  4. I have some expertise with signed comics - but none with a unique sports related item like this. I hope someone can help, but maybe try an Olympic memorabilia site or something.
  5. The one that I was digging into was the Sonic insert. I was floored when they started showing up in blue labels and people were paying serious money. And there they were sitting bound in a Superman book that NOONE wanted. I am very surprised that CGC grades these separately, but whatever, I guess.
  6. It would seem pretty unlikely - for two reasons. It would be hard to get them to sign in front of a witness, and that would be a super niche book. It would take a hard core fan to even attempt that!
  7. If people are paying $1,000,000 for zombie juice to mutate and update their NFT avatar, then there is a lot of room for comic art to grow.
  8. Tim, I agree with you. But you and I are of the same vintage. The Millennials and Gen Zers I know that are into Marvel are much more about the cinematic universe and the characters that have been melded into their pop culture zeitgeist. And I am here to tell you that Venom and Deadpool are the 800 lb Gorillas to that age group. You factor in dudes that dumped a couple grand into crypto in 2013 that is worth 15 million now, and i think we are going to see more of the shift from what has been historically significant to Boomers and Gen Xers to what moves the under 40 crowd.
  9. Still waiting for the DogWelder custom label . . .
  10. Dont be embarrassed dude - especially if you are not a child of the 70’s like a lot of us. They were always writing about her in the Stans Soapbox and what not. I bet a lot of people googled her based upon this thread!
  11. Auctions are tempting because there is a chance of a bidding war and a sweet new GPA high. However there is just as much of a chance of a giant crash because the one guy who was really making the market in the short run got his copy. I would find a stable marketplace and BIN it.
  12. I have Tyson SS. I Bought it, so I don’t know much about the signing or how many got done.
  13. True dat. Those pics are on an old phone. Not as good as Linda Hamilton tho . . .
  14. Yeah - that was not the first ever signing. The first signing was nearly 10 years ago (at least that I am aware of - there could have been earlier signings) and there were several Shazam! Books done. I have posted about that signing several times. if you are going to be involved in Signature Series, you should take a little more care in researching your claims. It’s not cool to disseminate wrong information. It is excellent that you are excited about the signing and the books - the hobby needs more of that. But please keep in mind that many of us have been involved in SS for 15 plus years. —Sean.
  15. Mazel tov. Also, I lurked for 2 years before making my first post about Charltons. This place is very much different than it was when me an my cronies were running amok. But change is good, and this place would be the best place to get comic information - if it were properly searchable. LOL. As it is, it's as good a place to hang your hat as any, I suppose. Until Blackrock starts mining my data and posts.
