  1. The however seems to be getting pretty clear. I claimed that two Marvel Premiere 48's were slightly lower grade, and that I would review the box when I returned home. In the exact same post, I also said I was happy with the box overall. What did you grade the MP 48's at in your sales thread before you removed the reference to them? I saw before you had made mention of them, and now that mention is gone except for the last post where you mention one sold. So how do they grade now? I said that they ranged from fine minus (5.5) to 9.0 or so. And BTW, I did buy a fairly nice copy off of THE_BEYONDER. I'm not here to scam people. I'm not. I never will be. I'm not caught because there is nothing to catch me doing. There really isn't. I don't even have any comics worth more than $100 or so. You got caught working the grade spread. Oldest trick in the book. Buy a 7.0, beat the guy down, call it a 9.0 - Yay, monies! The most troubling part is that you don't have enough sense to not do it the same place you pulled the grift. The lure of fee-free selling pulls like a black hole, and apparently saps 40 IQ points.
  2. I'm going to start perusing these before I buy books. I don't want to end up with someone's overgraded flipped undergraded book.
  3. This is not true. You asked me how the books looked. I had only looked through a few of them, and I said that two of them were 0.5 lower than listed. You blew up, and refunded ALL of the money before I even asked (As I had NO INTENT of asking you to do so) This wasn't even the book in question. I found your grading fine. I stated that two of the books were low, and that "I'll re look over the books again when I get home (thumbs u " Why would you keep the books and all the money?
  4. Yup. You got me all figured out. I'm glad you agree. Whether you think you are being sarcastic, or you really are being sarcastic, or you a revese sarcascising your self and all of us using sarcastic, or you are legit, it's true. Whatever your problems with Jeff, you are not looking real good in this exchange. Maybe sit a few plays out.
  5. Superman eats. I remember having to ask my dad what beef bourguignon was when I was about 6. That is Supermans favorite meal.
  6. If you come back to WWChicago I will give you some mess talk in person. Then we can go punch greggy in the groin. Would love to do Chicago again. When is it? August 21-24

  8. Are you saying "comics are a commodity, thank God"? You are officially on notice that "Comics are a commodity, thank God"TM is the sole intellectual property of SpiderMan-On-Tilt, Inc. You are hereby ordered to cease and desist from any further unauthorized use. Thank you.
  9. I live here now? I must be behind in rent. Who do I send payment to? Jeff tell him the cheque is in the mail then come here demanding that he send you that book you sent him that you haven't paid for That's not HusTruck, dork, that's Mkkiller.
  10. I'm flabbergasted at the number of bottom feeders trying to buy that book. It is just unbelievable. My PM offering $100 is still marked "unread".

  12. Splash page signatures are very, very common. They are proportionately more prevalent as you go backward in time. In the 80's it was VERY common to sign the splash page.
  13. At every live auction I have been to, the auction house has had proxy bids that they put in for the clients that got to preview the material before the public did. So I may bid $100, and the auctioneer automatically goes against me until he reaches the max proxy bid or I yell "Uncle." On some of the comic stuff I have seen, the proxy bids are insanely high.
  14. We're still on this huh? How many of these scumbags in my shirt time here have apologized directly to the people they've wrongdoing, publicly apologized and voluntarily taken several months away? Solarcadet is In the HOS and gets off on having a sales thread. All I'm saying is - the kid pulled some absolutely schmucky moves without tact. (1) I think his biggest transgression is he shilled on his own auctions, right? He admitted it. If he does it again, he has learned nothing and I'll be there with you. But you know that there has to have been people on here that do it and are just not caught. (2) Backing out on buying a NM98 by claiming you have no money, then buying an AF15, getting caught, and then honoring the first deal are signs of a schmuck or id iot. I don't see anything really sinister going on. Just never do business with him again. I'm sure most here won't. (3) Selling a book,, having someone take it and then doubling the price IS concerning. But Kevin forgave him and decided he's not going to do business with him ever again. (4) And his "buy my stuff, I need rent" or "I got mugged, help!" is absolutely I don't get that either and it isn't that rare around here with people selling books. In all of my - I'm just not giving up on hope that someone can learn a lesson. This kid wants to be here. Remember, my only experience here is the last year. I did go through the history of the HOS/PL and saw somewhat similar discussions being talked about years ago so forgive me if similar things have taken place before I got here. But from what I see with Symbiotic and his actions and the reactions to him being called out - I'm just hoping maybe he learned something and can be a valuable member. I've never bought anything or sold anything to him and I don't have much money for cool books these days. I just HOPE everyone could sit back and watch and try to give the kid a chance. Don't sell to him or don't buy from him if you don't like his practices, but don't burn those that do. If they come running back screaming for help - they made that choice, no? He's not on any list yet so constantly talking about it isn't doing anything other than running in circles. No.
  15. It's still an awesome book! But the Crow 1-4 are devilishly hard in 9.8. I've found two 9.6s in the wild, but never a 9.8
  16. I had never heard this, that's an interesting development. Yeah he doesn't like the guy who did the cover,or something to that effect.Bosco knows the full story, but he never signs the front cover.Well I guess not ever!
