Bronze age comics that are heating up on eBay...
mrwoogieman replied to PeterPark's topic in Bronze Age Comic Books
Defenders 47 with an early Moon Knight appearance seems to get some attention. -
This all sounds like a bad idea!

I sold off my AF15, ASM1-20, Avengers 1,4, B&B28, Showcase 22, and assorted others (all low grade and lower grade) for a down payment on my first home purchase in 2010. If I had waited for today's prices I could have bought the house maybe instead of just a down payment, but then there likely would have been no one to move into it because my wife would have divorced me if I tried to make her wait that long for our first house! Worth it!

Who sold all of that Silver Age Original Artwork from Marvel?
mrwoogieman replied to Prince Namor's topic in Comics General
Stan said that watching Jack draw was incredible because of how fast he was, he said other artists would start with a circle for a head and another circle for the body and start filling in the details, but that Jack would just draw it all out like it already existed and he was just tracing it out. Stan also said the only other artist who was as fast as Jack was Joe Maneely. Here are some uninked Kirby pencils from his Captain Victory books for Pacific in 1981. -

Post your Garage Sale/Flea Market/Antique Mall Finds Here
mrwoogieman replied to Shark's topic in Comics General
If someone has bins that they say are $1-5 depending, I will only pull books that I'm willing to spend $5 on. If some are less than $5 that's nice, but I end up leaving a lot behind that I might have bought for $1-2. -

I always ask about pricing before I start shopping. If the answer is “it depends” or something similar I don’t bother. -

myslabs.com only 1 percent sellers fee
mrwoogieman replied to mr_highgrade's topic in Comics General
Got an email today advertising Myslabs.com and noting that it is a CGC friend and affiliated service. -
The buyer is complicit in this destruction! If not for their covetous nature and over-eagerness to monopolize this historical item none of this would have happened in the first place! Look inward and acknowledge your callous disregard for our heritage!

Late to the party but just had to comment on unreality of Taken 3
mrwoogieman replied to kav's topic in The Movie Forum
This is what you focus on with respect to the Taken franchise?!? Not the retirement age lead waving at and/or slapping grown men into unconsciousness? -
