  1. I'm pretty sure I passed on his first appearance at a Salvation Army
  2. Looks like somebody else missed that this book is a variant? They miss even when you write it on the submission form. A lot. Thank God for the QC department that every company of CGC's repute definitely has
  3. Hell of a first post. Welcome to the boards, Doc!
  4. To be fair, how could you tell if the centre wrap was ever there? I would usually say the thickness of the book but the extra covers would confuse that. I'm not saying you're wrong, I'm legitimately interested
  5. Aha! I knew my eye was occasionally keen. Mine was a 4.5, so I was close
  6. yeah I think I see a sub-mariner comic as well. Actually, I believe that's a copy of the Jaguar #1, published by Archie. It looks an awful lot like my old copy from that angle!
  7. Sadly, most of my friends who know about this movie think it's doomed to fail. They never have any good answer when I ask why, but there's little faith for them.
  8. As a life-long Archie fan, so far, I am disappointed. I'm rarely disappointed with adaptations.
  9. Also, I recommend checking out the movie. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.
  10. Original volume, or a newer series? Regardless, welcome to the boards, it's very cool to have you here.
  11. Damn Liam, great scores my friend!!!!!!! Right now im just tickled pink with this one! That's fantastic, Matt! That one took a bit of research to track down, eh?
  12. Don't know about that one. Budget would have to be ridiculous for the special effects needed. How do you figure? I looks at the super-hero shows currently on TV and think pretty much anything is viable now. Agreed. The only real effect would be Blaze's "flame-on" transformation, depending on how "street-level" they want to make it (as opposed to supernatural).
  13. If only she'd spent a few years in the Israeli Defense Forces. Well it is mandatory in Israel to serve...and I doubt the former Miss Israel was really thrown into action. So it's somehow any less impressive?
  14. Looks great, Skunk! And Junkdrawer, don't listen to the haters. It looks like a box diver's secret paradise down there.
  15. I have a bad feeling about this... Personally, I think it looks about as good as it could get. What would you have be done differently?
  16. Agreed, it would bring his character full-circle nicely. From reluctant hero, to tortured figure, to superhero.
  17. Well, that's one dream role down Hey, I've still got Speedball.
  18. If it's only 60-episodes of content where does Daredevil Season 2 fit in? Marvel & Netflix Confirm Deal For 4 TV Shows & Defenders Miniseries The original deal Marvel offered to a few network - and which Netflix jumped on - was four TV shows, with up to 60 episodes total. They added a made-for-streaming movie, which would be the Defenders. It would appear from the Daredevil results Netflix and Disney/Marvel made the jump to expand the scope from the original deal. Yeah. It's unknown how the 2nd season of Daredevil (or the announced 2nd season of Jessica Jones) fits into this contract. They may have expanded it. They may be working on a separate contracts for the additional "seasons" of these shows. Or they may have just worked out a "per hour" rate for however many episodes Marvel delivers for Netflix beyond those initial 60. We don't know & can only speculate. However, I think it's safe to assume that prior to new series being officially added, the existing contract is somehow re-worked or extended or something. It may not even happen until after Luke Cage comes out in order to see if Marvel keeps their batting average at 1.000 (at least, as far as Netflix defines it) after 3 series. I don't know. But I can speculate that they'll avoid adding additional series beyond the 4 or 5 (if you count the combo-Defenders as a separate series or not) that were initially planned until they figure out a new contract approach. But that's just a guess. Isn't the 2nd JJ season announced officially now?
  19. Thanks, Ken! Got a few in grading that will come out very nicely as well, I think
  20. It's been an exciting few weeks. First, I managed to broker an amazing deal with new friend James via Facebook. He really let me steal this one from him. Then I received a cool package from eBay.au... The Daredevil is my second copy, but it is damn near pristine, so it will likely go in for grading and the undercopy will be available for sale or trade if anyone wants to strike a deal. ...and the #239 will go very nicely with my #238. Then, a bit of a mystery box from N. Scott, which contained the ultra-rare Slovakian copy of ASM #252 (not to be confused with the Czech language copy!) My Czech copy is in grading now, and this one will be shortly. The box came with a couple of nice surprises, including... And finally, I made a deal with Tony which grabbed my the final two books I need for my ASM #129 collection. ...and the white buffalo itself... Grandpa's back in action
