  1. Very cool to hear this confirmed. This really will be an MCU film.
  2. I'll be honest...I graded it at a 5.5/6.0 range before looking at the spoiler tag. I don't see what the problem is on the grading for this book - that's the range I would put it, myself. I'm actually in the same boat, and I'm no CGC apologist. I think they at least fell in the right range here
  3. Abomination General Ross Hellcat Nuke Kingpin
  4. Yeah, I think they mean he's on the weirder, less familiar side of the MCU. In the same way that Ant-Man and Doctor Strange could run into each other in their dimensional adventures, maybe so could Strange and the GotG.
  5. Yes, but not because I dislike the Rebels or want the Dark Side to prevail in the end. I want to see it happen to finally establish just how terrible a person Vader was, and to help retroactively contribute to the dire situation at the beginning of A New Hope.
  6. Even the failure of Green Lantern wasn't his fault. I still see him as visually and in temperament, the perfect Hal Jordan.
  7. I think Spectacular would be best. It has the same cool ring as Amazing, and just as much comic-geek impact as Web of.
  8. Awesome! I may have missed it, but did it confirm somewhere that it will be in 2017?
  9. People actually wear capes? In the real world? Like at the opera? 'Would' actually wear. It just doesn't look like it is a worn item but a prop item if that makes sense. I used to do theater and costumes have a certain look. Whereas something actually worn, looks different. I'm a little confused as to what you mean by what is worn vs. prop, because he definitely is wearing it and doing stunts in it rather successfully. In terms of how it looks... Well, it is a comic book movie after all. Do you judge Cap for carrying a shield around simply because normal people wouldn't do that? Dr. Strange is meant to essentially look like a highly imposing magician. Unrealistic, you're right about that. But straight out of the pages of the comic? Absolutely.
  10. Amazing books. Quite by coincidence, I shared a plane ride back from Baltimore with Mr. Heath - didn't get a chance to talk to him, but it was a cool moment to realize.
  11. Mindless Ones. Why is Strange running? Can't he levitate? Perhaps it's early in his training
  12. For a movie that is planned as 2 or more films there is always a very difficult balance between using a big gun Villain or threat, and still leaving room to up the anti in later films. And to be fair, Part 1 could theoretically have Atlantis wreaking on-Earth havoc which opens the door for Darkseid in Part 2. That would also give a great explanation for any in-fighting between the JL pre-unity.
  13. Is that really a monumental enough threat for the first Justice League adventure? Not saying they should copy the Avengers in nature of threat, but perhaps at least on a similar scale. Though it did just occur to me how similar to Thanos Darkseid could seem to those not in the know And with the parademons... Did someone say, Chitauri?
  14. They were there in Season 1 as well, but it feels like they made it more obvious this time around.
  15. I wanted this movie to succeed hugely, because I don't believe that it has to be either Marvel or DC that wins - but sadly, I walked away from the movie feeling worse than when I went in, which is so rare for me. I think a lot of it had to do with the tone of the thing - no one smiled even once unless they were clinically insane (Lex) or trying to halfheartedly reassure Superman (Ma Kent and Lois). It just felt far too... I don't know. I am sad, though.
  16. I would pick it up, faint, and never sell it.
  17. Something else to remember is that there were a lot of key similarities between the premises of the two movies (obviously) but also including the major spoiler at the end. DC was smart to get to it first - now, Marvel could look like the copycats to uneducated eyes.
  18. Just got to the theatre. Stopped in about twenty minutes ago and it was literally empty, but it's slowly filling up.
  19. I, for one, will be seeing it this evening. It feels like it's been out forever and I think I've already read most of the spoilers (only one of which was a surprise to me) but I'm still very excited.
  20. Sweet mother of god Talk about one-of-a-kind books. Whoever bought that must be a very happy camper.
