  1. I love it. But, in all honestly, I rarely play it. It’s more of a decorative piece for me. It’s much like a graded book. I stare at it, touch it, admire it... 😂
  2. Sorry you are going through this. Really sorry. That being said, sounds like you had insurance on the item. And thankfully, the book (even signed by Miller) is not too difficult to obtain. I’ve lost some items in the mail myself... even been screwed over by PayPal...it burns... but life has taught me to view the silver linings. Thankfully, you’ve got some in this situation. I really hope you can track the book down, though.😔
  3. And this is my point. Superman was not designed to be a fighter. His strength and invulnerability made a fight with him impossible. He was not supposed to fight. But I think as time went on, and more characters were created, they needed to put him in a fight. Physical conflicts could not be avoided. But then the problem became “if he can’t be hurt, what do we do with him?” That’s why they started to tone him down post Crisis.
  4. When he mentions “all things being equal”. I think he means, similar time with the power, experience, etc... Clark would still win. Why? Because he’s Superman. The character is not designed to lose.
  5. Ok, if he’s an “ideal”, and an “ideal” cannot be defeated or destroyed....🤔🤔🤔🤔, that means he can never be beaten.
  6. Yes, he is. Think about his original design. He was designed to always be above and beyond any situation, physically. The fact that nothing can kill him (so long as he’s at full power) is just bad writing. Why do you think The “death of Superman” sold so well? People were curious about not only who, but what could possibly take down Clark. My brother and I have had this conversation a million times over. Can Hulk beat him? No. Can Thor beat him? No. Can Silver Surfer beat him? No. Can Zod beat him? No. Can Galactus beat him? No. Can the beyonder beat him? No. Can Darkseid Omega beams beat him? No. Can the Sword of Omens beat him? No. Can Gokou beat him? No. WTF???? L A M E. We’d be playing with our “Super powers” collection as kids, and no matter what was thrown at Superman it would bounce off that stupid “S” on his chest. “It’s Superman! Nothing can hurt him!” FOH. ...yes, I am emotionally damaged because of Superman’s invulnerability.😅 ...rant over...🤨
  7. I know nothing about original art collecting, so forgive my ignorance... I recently discovered art prints, and was wondering, are they considered original art? Thanks in advance, guys!
  8. Given that Conventions are gone... 1). Ron Frenz. 2). Ian Churchill. 3). The triple threat: Artgerm, Kunkka, DCWJ. Make it happen, CGC!!
  9. ...and here it is... my goodness...
  10. I’m sure there were many books submitted for the signing. Why have there been so few postings?🤔
  11. I would totally send in my fav Pokémon cards.😅
  12. Way too many awesome moderns to choose from. So I will list the cover that single handily got me back into collecting comics. The book also opened my eyes to CGC and Signatures. I’m mostly a Copper head. Stopped collecting after Spawn #13 (June 1993?). Caught the itch to collect again in 2007. But after 14 years out of the game... where to start? Decided to take a trip from Queens to Manhattan to visit an old friend: Midtown Comics. To my surprise, “Previews” was still in the game. Grabbed a copy, and started flipping through it. I had no idea who the “New Avengers” were, but issue #27 made my eyes pop! I noted the release date, and picked up two copies on the Wednesday. After months of admiring the book, I decided I wanted the book signed. I discovered CGC and the Signature series. Leinil Yu was appearing at NYCC 2009. I got it signed, and my addiction began. I remember when my copy was the only one on the census. I’m particularly proud to be the first one to get this book signed, way before this book even showed up on anyone’s radar.
  13. I don’t think we’ll see too many appearances for the next few years. I think “in house” signings will be the new normal.😓
  14. Images of Vampy sipping blood from a goblet with some of it dripping from her mouth is just not my cup of tea. On top of all that, her origin / story is not clear to me as it has been rewritten one too many times. That being said, the right artist can make almost any comic book irresistible. And a cover which embodies Vampy’s power of seduction has taken hold of me. It is one of the most incredible images I have ever seen. I just purchased it, and should be able to post this coming weekend. ...so excited to share it with Vampy fans...
  15. I have to disagree with Cap annual #8 being a key simply due to the cover. First, the interior was done by Zeck. Secondly, Cap and Wolvie take swipes at each other (which is so awesome to see) And finally, it’s the first appearance of TESS-One. While not a big deal now, it’s still the first appearance. As soon as they place him in the MCU, all of you are gonna lose your minds.
  16. Could just be an error...🤔 Contact CGC and provide them the certification number. They are always ready to assist.
  17. Glad to see someone else who loves Joe Mad’ work on Ultimates. Met him here in NYC about 10 years ago. Super cool dude, man.
  18. There were a bunch of variants made for almost all the issues. I’d like some more info on which are the tougher variants to get. Thanks for sharing your knowledge.
  19. Interesting information on Red She-Hulk. Thanks for that! You say her first appearance was on the cover of issue 14 (variant), but her actual “in story” 1st appearance was in issue 16? I always thought it was issue 15.🤔. I’ll have to go back into issues 13, 14 and 15 to unravel the mystery!
  20. Also, when specific changes to a character are not included on the CGC label, it feels like something is missing. Thor 339 does not mention “first appearance of Stormbreaker”. That is a major omission.
  21. Yes, I think noting more specifics, like those you mentioned above, would be cool. Just my opinion, though.
  22. I appreciate your opinion. And I do agree it should be SW 1. However, I do believe there is a little room for more detail. I would argue his humanoid form could be listed as “first appearance as human”.
