  1. Good luck on your first submission. And as they say, “welcome to the addiction!”
  2. So… this thread has been dead… why not resurrect it with my recent success story!
  3. Correct! The panel where you only see Eddie’s silhouette. I window bagged part of the silhouette and the prior panel of the outside building. It’s a small window. Should look fantastic… we’ll see…
  4. I did the same thing! I sent in the last page of #299 and #298! There are a ton of signed #298 and #299. But the meat and potatoes are only the last pages! And the art on these last pages are way cooler than the cover art. Can’t wait to see how it comes back! Also sent in just the cover for Batman #423, 2nd print.
  5. That’s a beauty! Congrats! Hope to snag one myself, one day.
  6. Been grabbing a bunch of the Sideshow art prints. They look awesome framed.
  7. Venom is a character who I feel has lost his way since his inception. However, to date, I’ve never seen a better rendition of the character on a cover than this. Kubert masterfully blended the best of McFarlane and Larsen designs.
  8. Thank you all so very much for taking a moment to look at the book and give me your thoughts.
  9. So, this VOB was a 9.8 which I cracked and sent out for the signing. Somewhere along the line, the book took damage. Likely from being mishandled. I am trying to salvage the book. My first choice is a re-sub to CGC for press and regrade. Can it get to a 9.6? I took pics of the only damage I can see. What say you guys?
  10. Can a Signature Series book be submitted to CGC for pressing, then re-graded?
  11. I had this poster in the 90’s when I lived with my parents! Loved it!!! Don’t know what the hell happened to it.😒
  12. How is it not a “true” yellow label? Is the signature witnessed? Yes or no? Explain, Sir.
  13. What’s a true yellow label? Yellow label is yellow label. Qualified Yellow just means something is on the book that was not there when the book was produced or, something was removed. Qualified Signature is a yellow label because the signature was witnessed. There is no “true” vs. “false” yellow label. Our community needs to move away from that idea.
  14. Since there are a ba-zillion graded copies of this book, I would not bother to send the book in. It will cost over $120 to get that book signed and since there are so many graded and signed copies out there, i don’t feel it’s worth the effort. You would likely enjoy the book more if Todd personalized it for you. Take it to a convention he’s attending and get it signed. You can even get a pic of him! Just my thoughts…
  15. Todd will not sign a Crain cover swipe. Yes, I said swipe… not homage. I’m a Copperhead.
  16. Seems to me like a different grader had a different opinion as there was no new damage to the book. As we all know, while there is a certain level of grading we can all agree upon, there is another level which is H I G H L Y subjective.
  17. Unless you can easily replace the book (financially speaking), I would not crack it. Too expensive to replace in that high grade. I have a 9.6 signed by Peter David I was considering for the Mcfarlane signing. However, since I cannot easily replace a 9.6 (financially speaking) I’m not taking the risk of a grade drop. BTW, my book was a 9.8 Universal. Came back a 9.6 after the Peter David signing.🫣
