  1. Flash #129: The JSA appears only in a very quick flashback... they aren't physically there or involved in the story in any way. It's the 1st time the GA Green Lantern, Hawkman, Atom, Black Canary, Dr. Midnight, and Wonder Woman are seen in the SA though. Flash #137: The JSA physically appears for the 1st time, though they aren't major participants in the story (it's still mostly the 2 Flashes). They are on a total of 5 pages, 3 of those as helpless prisoners of Vandal Savage. Still, they do have speaking parts at the end, after the Flashes rescue them, and they decide to reform the JSA after being apart for many years. Also, 1st Johnny Thunder in SA. JLA #21: Reintroduces the JSA as an ongoing part of the DC universe, beginning their annual team-ups with the JLA. They are a major part of the storyline, equal to the JLA. Also, Hourman and Dr. Fate appear for the 1st time in the Silver Age.
  2. I knew Conrad well and over the years bought many silver age Kirby and a few Ditko splashes from him. His prices were always somewhat ahead of the market but as the quality was there, I couldn't resist buying. And he did give a discount for multiple purchases. At the December 1997 Christies auction, I was bidding on a Kirby Avengers 1 page against Conrad and I won. Those were the days. I see from my records I bought Avengers 1 pg 12 for 2185; Avengers 2 pg 14 for 2760; Avengers 2 page 16 for 2300 inclusive of taxes and delivery. On a later deal, he wrote "I saw you were serious about the Avengers 1 so I stopped bidding at 1800. You bid 1900 and I let it go. I was willing to go to 2200" He once mentioned that he took out a remortgage when a large amount of Kirby art came on the market. So many memories. A great guy. I miss him.
  3. That is exactly what I needed to know. Thanks very much.
  4. twan & Jay Thanks for your responses. As stated above this is a hypothetical. IF required to prove covid-vaccinated in October, I would assume the folks checking peoples' proofs at Jacob Javitts would recognise US formatted proof. It's likely simple to convert UK/EU data to a US format. I'm hoping a fan from the uk/eu will previously have experienced this and can tell me the process.
  5. Hi Lest it's needed again for travel in October 2022 , can anyone tell me how convert an EU or UK covid pass to the American format? Thanks for any help on this. UK format: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/nhs-covid-pass EU format: https://www.touteleurope.eu/societe/covid-19-pourquoi-envisage-t-on-un-passeport-vaccinal-europeen/ US format: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/vaccines/vaccination-card.html

  7. No problems bidding near the close. I would also commend their customer service. I needed to raise some funds a while back and they helped me sell a high end piece, I had previously won, to the underbidder (at his same bid price).
  8. I’m sure Pete Koch would have lots and lots to contribute on this subject Is he a member here ? G’nite

  13. Doesn't "innocent until proven guilty" exist any longer in the U.S. ?
  14. The images of the 3, 4 and 5 look significantly better than a 0.5 ?
  15. I see Hulk's 1 thru 6, unrestored but poor, are up on eBay in one lot. The current bid is 600. I must admit I am tempted to go much higher. By the look of the images, I would say they are more likely fair rather than poor. Still - assuming they are poor, unrestored and complete, Can you folks share your thoughts on what might be a winning bid. Many Thanks. http://www.ebay.com/itm/THE-INCREDIBLE-HULK-1-through-6-/182584595254?hash=item2a82e3d336:g:DNEAAOSwaeRZIIq2

  17. I bought the complete Eternals #1 artwork, plus cover, from the Kirby family long ago and, excepting an ancient wire transfer receipt for $10,000 to their intermediary, I have no proof of purchase. I guess many others will be in a similar position. Therefore I would imagine it will be a lengthy, expensive and ultimately unproductive process for the Kirbys to proceed against every Owner. G'nite ?
  18. Jay i have page 28 from NM 100, signed by Rob let me know when you're ready. G'nite ?
  19. M, His stance is that if you have to ask the price then you can't afford it.
  20. My first major purchase was the complete book, including cover, to Eternals # 1 by Jack Kirby. I bought it from the family for 10,000 dollars. Interestingly the page headers showed the original title was "Return of the Gods.
