  1. PQ is always a factor, especially on copper/modern books. If a copper/modern book has anything less than white pages, ,it will go less than what a white will go for (if wrap is the same).
  2. Why is Worlds Finest 198 fetch over $1,000 in 9.6+? Black cover and only few ultra high grade copies? 3rd flash/superman race doesn't seem to be that big of a deal, no?
  3. Not sure if Brian sold the 9.4 copy since he posted it here, but it will be up for auction with Pedigree soon. https://www.pedigreecomics.com/auction/comic/061163/batman-121-cgc-94-ow-w Will be very interesting to see where it finishes.
  4. I certainly agree with quality over quantity. I'd consider a 9.2 181 and Batman 232 in 9.2, both well centered with white pages, of course.
  5. When I was a kid, this was THE book. I had a 7.0 for 30 years, but never liked the centering on it. Today, this upgrade arrived.
  6. Kit For starters, 101(Phoenix), 120&121 first appearance and first full Alpha Flight, 129 first Kitty Pride and Emma Frost,
  7. It could be a cgc boardie going in as a mole to mess with us.
  8. I need to pay a visit as well. I'm sure that undercopy of BC 50 is not for sale, but I'd love to look at the masterpieces in person. Any high grade bronze books available besides PCH?
  9. HOS 92 for me. I'm biased though. I don't own a GL 76.
  10. A boatload. It's really hard to tell, but I would think multiple of 2 or 3X what a 9.2 would fetch. Is a 9.2 worth 30K? A 9.0 went for just shy of 22K this year. I'd love to hear the background story of the 9.4.
  11. Not Hulk 1, but man that's a fantastic looking FF1.
  12. I bought very few books this year. I did bite the bullet on one book which ate away my budget for the year for me. I wouldn't mind going after 1 or 2 other keys this coming year.
  13. The 9.4 on the Link closed for a staggering $8,200 last night. Not perfectly centered, but even and really a nice looking book. The 9.2 which didn't have a nice wrap went for under last gpa. Books are now being shaken out of collections with the large increase. Comiclink already has another 9.4 lined up for February auction. http://www.comiclink.com/Auctions/item.asp?id=1227198
  14. Wow! It's even centered well with great PQ. What a monster of a book that is. Congrats!
  15. Is it yours, Brian? It's not showing on the census yet. I'd love to see it.
  16. No kidding. I cringe everytime I see a key signed. Yes, to each their own. If the owner thought he was getting value for the signature, he/she will soon find out that he left thousands on the table whenever it sells because of that placement.
  17. I'm not sure if I can come up with 2nd best, but here are two off the top of my head that are superb. I couldn't find a scan of my copies, so I borrowed from the net.
  18. I have to agree with Bob here. There are tons of this book out there. Hold out for a much better registered copy.
