    Well Heroes wasn't a total bust in the Stevens realm as I managed to pull a nice Alien Worlds #2 out of a $1 box. Yay me!

    I think Mayor said he only found 1 Stevens BC and it was not in good shape either. It may be that I've cleaned all the locals out and the big boys dont bother with such lowly books. Who knows?

    Back from Heroes Day 1 and I dont know if I just missed them ALL, they got gone before me (though I was there when they opened) or they just weren't there. I saw a grand total of ONE Stevens book and it was a VG Alien Worlds 4 in $1 box. BOOO HISSS

    Whenever I look at mine I see either 9.0/9.8 not sure could really go either way. I really have NO idea what makes the differnce between a 9.4-9.8.

    256 pages of DS sketches for $50!! SOLD! You cant even buy one of his sketchbooks for that. Actually several online retailers (Midtown, Tales of Wonder, etc have it pre-orderable for under $40.

    I have no idea how many times I've dealt with Frank (pretty sure it's however many threads he's had), but the one thing I am sure of is I'm always more than satisfied. Super tight grader and I really dig the way he has the stickers on the backs with the grads on them since I have no idea what makes a 9.2 9.4 9.6 etc!

    What's everyone's experience with the easiest to find book in $1 and below boxes? I can only go by my stuff and I only started looking about 6 months ago, but I have seven Jonny Quest 5, five Alien Worlds 4 (although 4 came out of the same box), and five Crossfire & Rainbow 4. I dont have anything else in quantity more than 3 from the cheapies.

    I think the Stevens stuff is in such high demand now that you wouldn't have a problem selling any Dave Stevens cover slab in 9.4 or higher that will more than cover the cost of slabbing. That's just my opinion though. I guess we'll just follow your sales thread and see, huh?

    I've never submitted a book to CGC, though I own stacks of Stevens issues. Is the demand for a 9.4 or 9.6 different than the usual "must be a 9.8" mentality on modern books? It obv looks that way looking at what Shark has chosen to submit. Basically, is the return worth the investment if I get a 9.4/9.6 DNAgents 24 instead of a 9.8?

    Heck, all the bidders may have been from here. I was first just to get it on my radar. I thought I would be in another bid when it was at $16 but it jumped up to $39 and I just shook my head and laughed. I also had that feeling that was a forumite who won it!
