  1. This has the potential to be my favorite thread ever.
  2. Went to LCS #1 at 4 today and got the last copy of Catwoman 13. LCS #2 5 minutes later had only two left. I picked up one.
  3. Which series, DDP or Image? Whatever was on that lame list. You have to be careful with that list. Sometimes the number listed will be a second month reorder. It may say Aug was 4500, but in July it was 15K
  4. That's just dumb. These issues are in stores (including mine) for $15 BINs.
  5. The problem is that EVERY collector/speculator on the planet sits on stacks of Image #1s. Mind The Gap, Hardcore, Saga, Fatale, etc. I dont see any of them being big down the road.
  6. Wow. We sure are stretching the definition of a modern book now!
  7. Winter Soldier's first app is Cap 6. I think 14 is just popular because of the cover! Captain America Vol.5 #14 is a key issue because it's the issue that Buckey regains his memory, it's a key part of the Winter Soldier Story Arc. A book is hot because of storyline?!?! Can't be! Has to be something else.
  8. Winter Soldier's first app is Cap 6. I think 14 is just popular because of the cover!
  9. could be shill bidding, but am i wrong in thinking that $22 for 13 issues (even if it's spawn) isn't a whole lot of money? if you're looking to start a run, that seems like a good price to get those at. 13 issues that can typically be snagged at $1 or less? That, and the number of bids just seem odd. Probably a shill. #1 isn't really a dollar book. I suppose it is convenient for someone to get them all.at once. I actually could have picked up 20+ copies of #1, for $1 each, this past weekend. Instead, I skipped out on those, and grabbed 2 copies of New X-Men #128 for $1 each. i have never seen a NM copy of Spawn 1 in a dollar box. $2 box, yes, but never in a dollar box and I spend a lot of time dollar box diving. not saying they are not out there, just haven't seen one. Plenty for me. I've even seen them in .50 boxes. Hell, I've left them for $1 (but I wouldnt now)!!
  10. In competition with Batman Adventures #12 as 1st appearance of Harley Quinn in DC continuity. Apparently Batman Adventures #12 doesn't count because it's based of the cartoon. i believe there is a 2d print of this as well, so folks need to be careful. If there's a second print, I've never seen it. There are 3 prints of the Batman Adventures Mad Love book but I don't think so on the Ross book.
  11. I was able to find one copy of Nightwing 4 at one of my 2 LCS for $3.50, however it had the same two color breaking spine taps. Thankfully, most people on ebay dont mind if disclosed properly!
  12. I posted it earlier but I his a LCS in Charleston last week and it had AT LEAST 40 copies of #2 first prints on the shelf......maybe more.
  13. From this morning : No brainer! I also found this awesome Superman Club Kit from 1980 this morning. Complete with original envelope, iron-on, membership card, sticker, book cover, Daily Planet, KILLER poster and more. It set me back a whopping $5!
  14. On vacation so of course I hit the LCS. They must have had 50 copies of ToT #2 first prints on the shelf. Nothing else much though besides 5 copies of the SDCC Darkwing Duck 14 blank for $3.99 each and a Batgirl Adventures for $5. I didn't dig through their dollar boxes. Maybe tomorrow.
  15. I hadn't hit this thread in a few days and seeing 86 replies since my last visit, thought something must be on fire in the modern market. How naive of me.
  16. Yesterday I picked up a box of vintage GI Joe epherma. 40 file cards, some sticker sheets and 6 blueprints (including the USS Flagg) for $15. Also got a cool Frank Miller : A Work in Progress book from 1986 for $1. Today was a box of 55 80s GI Joe issues starting at 3 and including the 21 for $10.
  17. My LCS had at least 40 copies of Earth 2 #2 and one sketch cover at $10. Also had 6-8 copies of Star Trek/ Dr Who. I bought two empty long boxes and a Spidey 129 for $100 instead.
  18. I think it's a tough set to complete, and usually fetches a strong price when a complete set surfaces. Or I could be mistaken... It is a tough set, but that price for only 24 issues is hilarious. 39-41 were very tough to find. 42 was alot easier I see them all the time. That bidder is just ignorant. Issues 1-20 are on there with a $25 BIN, 1-42 For $125, And 1-23 28-31 Plus other misc Warlock stuff for $35. Just stupid.
