  1. Hard to believe he still puts up with all this! He turned 95 today!
  2. Unless Disney thinks every person that reads Buffy is suddenly going to take those dollars and start reading Spider-man I don't see how it makes sense to them to completely shut Dark Horse down. Now a Disney "takeover" of the remaining characters/licensing agreements/assets in general might be another conversation all together.
  3. Same post on the top of page 8 has the list hidden that can be expanded.
  4. Ok, where is this form again? Nevermind. Top of page 8 Form with my top 29 submitted! (I accidentally hit enter....)
  5. Guess it all depends on the licensing agreements in place and what deal they can work out. Disney might be content to let Dark Horse run with some of them just because they still get paid for characters that they might not want to spend the manpower on to produce new product.
  6. @Tony S Sent me a couple of slabbed Wonder Woman books that made my day. Thanks Tony!
  7. Yep, I agree. This one was sitting in a store window or displayed for a very long time somewhere. Sun faded it.
  8. Basically its worth what someone is willing to pay for it. Outside that, its a blank cover that Frank Kadar has done a color sketch of Thanos on. I would look up Frank and see what his pricing is for doing a sketch because that's what you are paying for. The book itself is worth next to nothing - again, whatever someone will pay for it without the sketch. Add what it probably cost to ship the book to CGC have it graded and shipped back to the owner and that will put you in the ballpark.
  9. I can't remember the last time we did one of these....anyone interested in trying to do something over the Christmas break? We've had a few years where there was lots of participation and they were usually a lot of fun!
  10. $867.42, wait it's over? Oh well I'll try again next year!
  11. One time reduction to $700 if it doesn't sell we will pull the book and try other options. Thanks! Michael
  12. Here is a picture of the All-Star Batman sketch cover book I offered up to go with the box of goodies. I'd almost call this a mystery box that leans heavy DC with a few other things.
  13. I will continue to work on Gen 13 original art pages, a few more CGC books for my registry sets, one or two celebrity SS books, but for the most part I just want to hang back and see what comes available. I took a laid back approach to collecting this year and came away with some pretty nice additions. Plus I like the thought of down-sizing a bit. I think it might be time to take a shot at concentrating my collection a bit. Good luck to everyone on their goals!
  14. I started working on the "goodies" portion to go with the slab last night. So....in progress!
  15. I got a Hellboy book signed at San Diego Comic Con by Del Toro a couple of years back through a facilitator. I would think that is your best bet for getting him.
  16. Guardians of the Galaxy Cast signed with sigs from Karen Gillan, Michael Rooker, Sean Gunn and a RARE sig from Director James Gunn!
  17. Guardians of the Galaxy # 17 variant edition signed by James Gunn, Sean Gunn, Michael Rooker and Karen Gillan - $800 One of only a handful that has ever been signed by Director James Gunn and with his schedule that will probably stay that way. I would say there are less than 25 SS copies with his signature. Shipping and handling will be based on your address and the weight of the priority mail package. On a single book it will be under 2 lbs. and I will cover insurance.
  18. I would have to go Amazing Fantasy 15 as well. I'd trade it all and my wife would be happy about the space freed up!
  19. Rogue just did a couple of time payments on a book I sold and it was like clockwork. Prompt payment, great communications, and easy to deal with!
  20. Saw it opening night and thought it was worth what I spent to see it so I'm good with it. I think trying to splice in origins for Cyborg, Aquaman, and Flash were done adequately but given say 30 more minutes of screentime combined probably could have been much smoother. Seemed to jump a lot to get everything in. The instant I saw the end scene after the credits it made the whole movie for me.
