  1. I need to take a vacation and sit by the beach with my slabs, the internet, and a slab scanner. I'm thinking Tybee Island. Anybody got a place on Tybee that I can get this started?
  2. :: calm down, calm down it's not the same book you two. FYI, I've been doing pricing on this all day in case I did break it out to see what it would be individually....If someone wants to do the legwork there's well over $2,000 still on the table AFTER what I'm asking based on most recent sales on the items that even have comporable sales. Some books like the Charmed #2 are 1 of 1 so I can only guess or take pricing from similar books.
  3. Thanks guys, :: it really is pretty much what I have been telling myself. Get off your and list them and eventually someone will come along and buy them one by one. I won't make excuses about it either. I just need to find the time to do it. I'll give the sales thread a day or two to annoy everyone and see what kind of interest happens by if I break it out individually.
  4. I've never used my comic shop. I apparently need to take a look at it and see how it works. Thanks guys. If anyone is interested, I put a lump sum buy it all in the mixed section with a complete list of the books. I think I really was just buying anything and everything for a while.
  5. I've listed some of them individually in the past, no where near all of them of course. But, the range is so varied I just didn't think any one person would want all 70+ books. You might be right though.
  6. Let me follow up to this by saying I have a complete list of all my slabs that I own, how much I paid for them, their grades and so on. When I looked over the list I pulled my favorite 10 universal, 10 sketches, 10 signatures, and a couple of others and decided the rest could go. That's how I came up with the 70. The 10 of each are by no means a focus but are at least a way of pearing down until I do.
  7. Not sure if this is the appropriate place for this or not, but someone will tell me I'm sure if it isn't. I looked over a list of all the slabs I have today and I don't know if the thrill of the chase is just gone or if it's just too much clutter, or I realize just how much money I have tied up in my books but I went through all of them and realize I have probably 70 slabs ranging from an Archie 32 up to a Saga 11 that I no longer need. I know there are auction houses like Heritage, and comiclink, I've used Clink to sell original art and a couple of slabs, but it seems unrealistic to send that many books through the post. So the question is, what is your recommendation for trying to sell probably two full CGC boxes of slabs all at once?
  8. 5/22 - modern no fast track. Scheduled for sitting in a corner.
  9. I gave up on estate sales real quick after a lot of those "mysterious" disappearing acts. Everytime I would show up an hour before opening, would be first or second in line and hey guess what its not there anymore!
  10. Yep, you have a wait alright.... 5/22 Modern (no fast-track) been scheduled for grading since San Diego Comic Con books arrived
  11. I got some of this too, i'm hoping for the arrival in the next two weeks Moved up to scheduled for grading....
  12. I've had this one raw in my collection for years. I wanted to get Infantino to sign this but never had the opportunity. I knew it wasn't perfect but I love it anyway
  13. Wow, I've heard some horror stories about the Game Stop exclusive. Congrats on the 9.8!
  14. Oh, and 5/24 modern submission non-fast track still sitting at verified about to be overtaken by SDCC fast track I'm sure.
  15. Depends on how it is depreciated and how much it costs. Section 179 only goes so far and I'm bettng an encapsulation machine is fairly pricey.
  16. So does anyone have one of the blank unsigned Chromium puzzle covers they want to part with?
  17. I think they geared up for the onslaught that will be SDCC starting most likely tomorrow. It will be interesting to see how much change there will be in turnaround times with one of the big shows to absorb.
  18. The last one had both? I've never seen that. I have the Jim Lee, the Campbell, and the Choi. Still need one more. Interesting!
  19. Ok, now somebody needs to bring out a Grunge....Dr. Balls and I took care of Roxy and Fairchild.
  20. I just moved into a new house and even though it's bigger and nicer than the last one, I just haven't figured out what to do about displaying stuff. My comic room looks like it is a couple of years off when we finish the basement....THEN I will start looking for prints to frame!
  21. I did pick up a Superboy page this morning from the first appearance of Grunge in DC
