  1. I have no problem with green label either but I don't typically buy them. Now let me straighten that out. I send in my own books to be graded and slabbed as green label because I want them protected and encapsulated and mine are typically sketch covers I have had done at shows in the past where either CGC wasn't at the show or I couldn't get a witness and wasn't about to pass up on getting a sketch. So they have a place in my collection.
  2. Oh and Rainmaker just got introduced this week.
  3. Ha! I think you outbid me on those Fairchild pages.... I got the first page that showed the updated G13 symbol and that was the best I could get.
  4. Yeay! I found this lost thread completely by accident. Glad to give it a bump. Anybody giving any of the DC books a read to see how Gen 13 is fairing?
  5. Unless they are 9.8's those are $2 books at best. I think if these books are listed as 9.4 or better, and the seller is credible with their grading, they would sell for $5 each. Especially 268. It just can't be a listing with VF-NM as a grade, or someone that posts "I am not a professional grader" as that tosses the excitement factor out the window. When I liquidated all my game used and autographed sports cards back in 2005, I put that in every auction. I facepalm myself. I can one up that. I still have all my sports cards. I facepalm myself Ooh! Except for that huge chunk of my collection I sold off of my collection for an Amazing Spider-man 129 that came back restored. I facepalm myself once again

  7. His visor must have had a phase shift for him to sign it way up there no where near his image....get Data on that.
  8. That right there is a labor of love.
  9. The DNAgents I will agree with. Subbed way too many or at least looked over way too many that never came close to making the 9.8 grade. The points system needs to make sense though if you ask me. Maybe we take a look at the number of books slabbed first, then the number at any grade, deterimine importance (1st Rocketeer should get some points right?) and then ....?
  10. In all seriousness I think AFTER the registry awards on June 14th we should have a serious discussion on points distribution for the books. I say after because it would be unfair to anyone doing any last minute shopping or that sent books off to be graded based on the prior values.
  11. and of most of the mystery box sales I've seen and the one I even ran myself, this is pretty much the setup. You get value paramount to what you put in, you have the opportunity to score nicely, but in the end the seller unloads a lot of books, both raw and slabbed.
  12. Depends. Some people are displaying pictures of all the books going into the boxes so you know what will be included in the boxes being sold, maybe just not the one you receive. I think it's a gray area. And I agree with Sean, it is a "bulk" price.
  13. I posted a copy of the results in the registry thread for Gemma so she would know it was the request of the majority.
  14. Definitely bra on head! The more I think about it I'm leaning to a Weird Science back / Dead Zone front with the sig at the bottom front.
  15. I want to do the same thing with Anthony Michael Hall but can't decide who should do it and whether or not to use young AMH with a bra on his head or adult AMH in a Dead Zone stare.... Nice book.
  16. With an encapsulation machine in Philly (or actually on the way back from Philly) I would think things are going to slow down significantly for a week or so.
  17. Somebody needs to get that Catwoman cover published. Wasn't it just a cover quality commission?
  18. Same as all those above! Great buyer that had communication and paid quickly. Thanks!
  19. Well that's disappointing. I just found out I was born on a Monday but at least I know now.
  20. Agreed - Should NOT. If we need a poll for this let me know..... somebody want to let Gemma know the results please?
