  1. Noticed another slight variation on the 7th US Printing today. I have 4 copies of it and 2 have purple gloves and 2 have gray gloves. The purple on the jacket is a bit washed out on the one with gray gloves, as is the brown on the hat and the red on the lips. I checked a few other different printings, that I have dupes of, and did not notice on any of those. I am guessing the the magenta ink may have started to run out during the print run.
  2. Same here! Mike was a great guy, very sad that he passed away so young. George Perez lived in the neighborhood and was friends with the owner, and was in the store often. Got him to sign my Infinity Gauntlet #1 there. Btw, I still have a bag from Mike's. I never got a chance to be there when George was. It was quite a ways from my house, so, only got there on my way home from school. Wish I still had one of those bags. There was another version that was also done by Perez. There is a Facebook page dedicated to Mike's Comic Hut. George posted a few times on there. https://www.facebook.com/groups/83701524860/ Here are couple others that George did for the Mike.
  3. My first LCS was Mike's Comic Hut, in Flushing, Queens, on Northern Blvd. It was a little store, in the same building as the UA Quartet movie theater. The first time I was ever there, my Dad took me and my sister to see Animal House and we went into the store after the movie. I got my dad to buy me a copy of Iron Man #3 for $5. After that I made many trips there to get my back issues and new comics that the candy stores by my house did not carry. Mike, the owner, was a great guy. He had the greatest bags a store could ever have. The art on them was drawn by George Perez.
  4. I said it when you joined, that I do not believe a word you say. The more I read, about you, the more I stand firm in my initial assessment.
  5. If Valiant were replaced with Hustruck and the exact same thread were duplicated I believe it would draw much more ire, yes. Big difference between Valiant and Hustruck. Valiant, I don't believe nor do I see, has ever had any issues on the boards. Whereas Hustruck has had many. It is extremely probable that there would have been more ire if it was a Hustruck thread. I think most of us would not believe he would even had the book in his possession. I don't think anyone thought Valiant did not have the book or that he would not have shipped it. Again, BIG difference between the two boardies you mentioned.
  6. I'm going with sociopath. And I vote yes, as well. sociopath [soh-see-uh-path, soh-shee-] noun, Psychiatry. 1. a person with a psychopathic personality whose behavior is antisocial, often criminal, and who lacks a sense of moral responsibility or social conscience. http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/sociopath psychopath [sahy-kuh-path] noun 1. a person with a psychopathic personality, which manifests as amoral and antisocial behavior, lack of ability to love or establish meaningful personal relationships, extreme egocentricity, failure to learn from experience, etc. http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/psychopath
  7. I cannot believe anyone would even consider buying or selling to this scumbag after all the he has pulled. If anyone needs proof or just wants to have a laugh or just relive memories, here is the original Hustruck thread. http://boards.collectors-society.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=7215594&fpart=1
  8. I do not have all of these, they are just the ones I found searching The ones that I have, that look like the US version are embossed.
  9. I posted this in the Killing Joke Question thread in Comics General. Thought I should re-post it here. Here are the covers for the foreign editions for your viewing pleasure.
  10. I'm actually surprised it's not selling for less than what it is now. From what I can tell, there were a zillion copies of this book printed at the time. The significant of the book and the respect it still garners is the only thing keeping it out of the '90s drek boxes if you ask me. Significance and respect keep a lot of books out of the drek boxes.
  11. Whether or not it is not worth much it is still a great book. And there are other books that have been reprinted more. How many reprints does the Walking Dead #1 have now? And how many will it make with 25 more prints to come next year?
  12. Here are the covers for the foreign editions for your viewing pleasure.
  13. Added some new info on the UK 3rd Edition and added another Mexican variant. Going to work on adding pictures for the different foreign editions when i get time.
  14. Mine still at verified, but, now has the book information listed. I think they may screw up on one book. I sent a 2nd print Titan UK edition of The Killing Joke. They have it listed as 3rd DC UK edition. Scheduled for grading - 12/5/14 Graded 12/9/14 Shipped/Safe 12/10/14 Happy with 3 of the grades. Very puzzled by the 4th one. Was expecting at least 9.2-9.4, got 7.5. I know I didn't miss that much wrong with the book. Guess I'll wait and see. Received 12/20/14 And actually it was a 1st printing Orange logo, not a 2nd print. I miss typed that in my previous post. The 4th grade I was not happy with, I now see why it got the grade it got. It has a crease on the back, that looks like it was made by a thumb opening the book and the appears to be about a 1/2" spine split. I know these were not there when I sent them in, but, I don't have a back scan of the book to prove otherwise. Oh well, it is still the highest graded on the census and the front cover presents very nice.. I guess I should be happy with that.

  19. Sent in my 4 book coupon Mailed 11/13/14 Received 11/17/14 Verified 11/18/14
  20. I thought I saw Daryl walking in the background, but it was hard to tell. I saw that too, but, it could have been a crew member that was out of place. I don't think there was anyone else there with Sasha. After the guy walks past the pillars he is never seen again. He was too far from the camera to make out who it was.
  21. Mike Colter looks like a good choice for Luke Cage. He has the look.
  22. That is Cosmic Comics in Las Vegas, I do believe.
  23. With all the versions and printings, I'm not sure which one I have. mm Here is a list I did in another thread http://boards.collectors-society.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=7819608#Post7819608
