  1. My 8/23 submission still stuck at scheduled for grading. **Edit** Modern Tier
  2. Cool. Getting close to my 9/15 and 9/17 My 8/23 submission has been "Scheduled for grading" since 12/10.
  3. Mine was received the same day. See who gets their submission back first :: ok! Mine just got updated to "Scheduled for Grading".
  4. When I was in the Navy (back in the late 80's/early 90's), my sister sold a bunch of my comics. The ones I know for a fact, and a bunch I don't know for sure, included Silver Surfer 1 and 8, Capt Marvel 3, Iron Man 1, and some others. The one that really pissed me off was IMSM 1. That one was in a high grade gorgeous shape. It was definitely a 9.2/9.4 candidate. I bought another copy of it a few years ago, but, it is not even close to the condition of the one that I had. Hell, it wouldn't surprise me if Cal owns it now.
  5. Carolsnotalesbian?Butyougottheshorthair Doesn't fit. Too many letters. I found the answer.
  6. Mine was received the same day. See who gets their submission back first
  7. Picked these up at a Black Friday 50% off sale.
  8. My 15 day coupon, 10/15/2012, was just listed as graded. Grades were a little lower than I thought they would be, but, glad to see they finally got graded. Not expensive books by any means, but, was running out of time to get something turned in. Captain Marvel 1 Universal 6.0 WHITE Captain Marvel 3 Universal 7.0 WHITE Captain Marvel 4 Universal 9.0 OFF-WHITE TO WHITE Had the CM #4 up in the PGM thread about a year or so back and the opinions were between 8.5 to 9.2 with a slight chance at 9.4, so everyone pretty much was spot on. http://boards.collectors-society.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=4937656&fpart=1
  9. I'll be stopping there tonight, on my way home from work. I can see if I can grab a copy for you.
  10. My 10/15/12 15 day coupon submission just went to "Scheduled for Grading" a little bit ago. Checked it this morning at home and it was still verified. Now if my 8/26 modern submission would move along a little faster.
  11. And that gets at the heart of it. Should a boardie be allowed to keep someone on the probation list out of anger even after they've done their best to fix the problem? They should not. In any and all situations, or in this particular instance? So if, for arguements sake, I rip off a buyer and send a different book or take PayPal personal and don't send the book, the boardie I ripped off should be forced to accept, if and when I attempt to make amends? And if they choose not to, the perpetrator should be removed anyway? It undermines the entire spirit of the list. It's not the fault of the wronged party for not agreeing to remove the individual, it's the fault of the individual who acted in whatever manner that landed them on the PL in the first place. Am I missing something here? If you think someone's behaved so badly that they should never be forgiven, or be allowed to make amends, then put them in the HoS. The PL is meant to be temporary. I agree here. It is why it is called a PROBATION list. The folks there are on Probation and given the opportunity to make amends. Exactly. If we consider them incorrigible they go into the HOS. The probation list was designed to pressure people to complete transactions and warn boardies about them. I just received a PM from a member asking what to do with a Megacon issue. They are pretty new and I directed them here and to the PL list where Megacon has been added. Personally I think Megacon should be on the HOS. Especially as they were a banned user who came back under a different name. I second that motion. No use for people like that.
  12. Fast track moderns should be graded - I've already received the first batch back. My coupon sub from NYCC is still showing verified. My coupon submission, from 10/15, is also still showing verified. If counting at 5 day work week, they are at 18 days. If they are working 6 days a week, they are at 21 days.
  13. I'm on day 10 of my 15 day coupon, still verified as well. Not looking like they will be on time with it.
  14. They just received my coupon submission today, so, I will let you know if it is even close to 15 days. They're on time for coupon submissions. I hope so.
  15. They just received my coupon submission today, so, I will let you know if it is even close to 15 days.
  16. What condition do their comics come in? I can't fin any reference to new comicgrades, and I shot for NM raw for new and most variants. V/R, Mike I get my monthly comics from them and they always arrive it great shape. VF, NM, NM+ WHat does "grat shape" mean? I get comics from them too and worst I have seen in any order has been NM-.
  17. They do have to pay a bill, no idea if it's "hefty". CGC enforces faster turnarounds on books based on value to prevent this issue. If there's a "lot" of "cheap" books there, no idea what the formula is for their insurance. Average value perhaps? Curious...if a book let's say Amazing #15 and it was submitted under regular Economy for $800,000.00, Would CGC pay allot of money for that book sitting in the warehouse? Or would they grade that book as soon as possible? Based on value, it has to be graded Express, and it would be in/out in about a week. Based on book value of $800,000, it would need to be submitted under Walk Thru. Express has a max limit of $3000 value per book.
  18. I would say they started taking a downward spiral some time around 11/10/10 Glad I got here before the downward spiral.
  19. Wasn't Go Daddy's fault. They got hit with a denial of service attack by Anonymous. Several of my work sites were non functional as well. The sites were not down, you could still get to them, if you used the IP address instead of the named url.
  20. Dear Lord, Please don't let this thread die.
