  1. What the what is this?! https://bleedingcool.com/comics/bad-idea-comics-offers-collectors-an-invisible-slabbed-comic/
  2. Text below is taken from the Kickstarter page. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/dfwalker/the-hated-1 Pledge US$ 12 or more DAVID MACK VARIANT COVER Print copy of THE HATED #1 with David Mack cover
  3. Not sure if this has been posted yet. (I know I waited until I secured my order) The Hated has been optioned by Netflix. https://deadline.com/2021/12/netflix-michael-starrbury-adapt-david-f-walker-comic-the-hated-potential-western-series-1234890946/ Completed sales (for the David Mack variant) are limited as the book was a Kickstarter. https://www.ebay.com/itm/203481056922?hash=item2f606a869a%3Ag%3AigYAAOSwx45guAZd&nma=true&si=xwPTgSW728WVVA%2FNl6U7k26SonQ%3D&orig_cvip=true&nordt=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557 Good news is the author is selling remaining copies directly for $7.99 each plus shipping ($12.99 total). https://solidcomix.gumroad.com/
  4. Those Canadian aisles (especially the SW / Marvel) would not last more than a few days here. NO way a Boba Fett lasts on the shelf even one day after being placed there. 1. LCS / Collectible stores buying them all 2. Locals that flip on eBay 3. People wanting them for Christmas Toy aisles / online options have been dwindling / non-existent since the beginning of November. I know because the day we received the Target toy catalog (mid-November), I asked my little guy to identify his top 3 items. (two were Target exclusives, one was mass produced) All three were sold out at Target (locally and online) already - twenty minutes after opening the catalog and him saying which ones he wanted from Santa. I just so happen to visit Target twice a week to charge my car (no home charger) and grocery shop. Was able to get 2 of his three items during those random visits and the third was purchased via eBay. (once had to ask them to hold one so I can come back later since he was with me) Have not seen the Target exclusive Harry Potter Lego chess set in person. The empty Hot Wheels was a surprise. Luckily he isn't in to them anymore. We happened to be there when they were stocking No Way Home Titan figures last month He was able to get the new Spider-Man costume (the black one with gauntlet) he didn't already have. I can't imagine being a parent this week and trying to get the toys from the #1 movie with bare shelves.
  5. Same! Just got tracking for my latest order and decided to check what was included. Most pleasant surprise given the going price for it.
  6. Found it on eBay https://www.ebay.com/itm/304246647445?hash=item46d6836a95:g:kvoAAOSwPJdhpvJ-
  7. This list is based off characters (that debuted in comic books) and are part of my personal collection. In alphabetical order: Deadpool Marko, Alana, Hazel The Maxx Miles Morales Rick Grimes Scott Pilgrim
  8. They each have their merits. Only issue with Spider-Gwen is that there a bit of a branding problem since they can't commit across Disney / Sony lines (toys, games, comics, movies...) what name to call her. (Spider-Gwen / Gwen / Ghost Spider) I was simply replying Miles isn't costume filler. Honestly, I dismissed Miles until I saw the movie and witnessed young children (of all colors) embracing him. That's when I finally bought my UF #4...because of the rule of 25...
  9. Don't believe he is a costume filler. Academy Award winning movie. Videogame. I'd argue that the representation that presents / brings to the world is way bigger than comics. Even in the new Disney+ Spidey animated show (for young children) they make a point in the first episode to establish that Peter and Miles are both equal Spider-Man.
  10. Milk and Cheese first appeared in Greed #6 published in 1989...
  11. Tank Girl first appeared in Atom Tan #1 published in 1987...
  12. Continued tracking of my Top 50 aka The Personal Collection. I am utilizing eBay sold items (with auctions taking priority over buy-it-now) to determine FMV. Nov to Dec yielded the 3rd month this year with a downturn. Some items did not have a like copy sold throughout the year which skews data. 13. Makes sense. They have been leaving money on the table for years. What I am not a fan of is the stores in my area pricing raw books like they were CGC 9.6s / 9.8s.
  14. Great comparison. I will add that it may have also been affected by Musk selling billions at the peak. That affected numerous funds that were long TSLA to drop then sell in order to remain liquid and within margin requirements. "Reported" inflation at a high not since the 80s...but of course SPY is at ATH...

  16. Just scrolled through 64 pages to make sure I am not reposting these. ASM #1 Completed via Desert Winds Collectibles SW #8 Completed via Par2ch ASM #300 Completed via Desert Winds Collectibles
  17. Only two this year... 1. Cept's "Time After Time" signed and numbered (#13/60) print based on his mural in London. Missed it when it was initially offered in 2014 and never thought I'd see one pop up again. https://blog.globalstreetart.com/post/89758136816/global-street-art-are-proud-to-announce-the 2. Saga #1 RRP SS w/ sketches. Long story short, I sold my 9.8s due to needing monies and swore that I'd only ever replace them with a copy with sketches.
  18. Just got this response from DCBS to my inquiry about some unshipped items I had... "We have not yet been sent any of our orders for the 7 inch record variant of whats the furthest place from here #1."
  19. Depends on the market value / size of the company and the total value of their political donations... (currently half watching The Big Short again, so this is a timely reply)
  20. https://the-comic-book-forum.boards.net/thread/1425/boards-cgccomics-forum-discussion-thread?page=1&scrollTo=69089 edit: are there rules about crossposting links to other forums ala reddit posts / topics?
  21. I had preordered two of the vinyl. One to open / spin and the other to keep unplayed. Just checked DCBS and they were not filled.
  22. This reminds me of a time when I was a manager and had to have a conversation with two cashiers because one was "talking trash" about the other on Facebook. The one that was having rumors spread about them on Facebook wanted the other person fired. Again, it wasn't done at work. It was done in their free time. We couldn't do anything about it, since it didn't happen at work, except ask them to be civil and follow the various guidelines in our training manuals whilst at work. If they violated those work rules they would be held accountable.
  23. I am currently in my 2nd longest stretch of comic collecting since grade school and am actively planning my exit strategy. After my father passed three years ago I quickly realized how much the things we collect become 'burdens' to your loved ones. So, I consolidated 44 short boxes to 32 then 22 and now 16 through donation / gifting / recycling / selling. I've also decided that I am only going to focus on a Top 50 CGC as my personal collection as it will be easier for my family to handle in the event of my passing. When I sell books from the 16 short boxes now the funds can be used for a myriad of things: reinvesting in Top 50, a new computer, PS5, a vacation, or early retirement. Originally from Fight Club, but it hit me hard sorting through my Dad's stuff - “The things you own end up owning you. It's only after you lose everything that you're free to do anything.”
  24. Continued tracking of my Top 50 aka The Personal Collection. I am utilizing eBay sold items (with auctions taking priority over buy-it-now) to determine FMV. Oct to Nov yielded the 2nd month this year with a downturn. Do believe a correction is forthcoming once conventions begin again / new money realizes it is easier to launder money using NFTs than comics.
