Cool, thanks! How quick did he get back to you? I sent him an email yesterday afternoon but havent heard anything back yet. Obviously i'm not stressing over not hearing from him for 18 hours but just wondered if im looking at a day or two or like a week before he gets back to me.

Whats up BAF?!? How've you been! Congrats on putting that collection together! I cant even imagine having to hunt down a copy of every freaking Marvel out there I think i might have raw mid-grade copies of 1-2 of the books you still need somewhere in my sea of long boxes. I'll try to dig thru them this weekend and see if i can find them and shoot you a PM (thumbs u btw, i got a couple sweet little statues i gotta show you including my all-time favorite, a badass Thanos statue

There's definitely a lot of speculators out there but it also seems like a LOT of the major HG buyers do it because they love the books. Look at a bunch of the members at the top of the registry. Guys like cheetah, ghost town, doc joe etc have always struck me as guys who just love comics and want the best comics they can afford. From seeing a ton of the books they've posted, I really don't think they are spending the money they do speculating.

I mainly collect HG and pay the premiums for them. For me, it has nothing to do with speculating or investments. The easiest way for me to explain why I do is that I LOVE the books I buy. When I was a kid, I dreamed of having these books but could never dream of affording them. Now that I can afford some of them, I want the absolute nicest, most perfect copy I can afford. If it costs a little(or a lot!) more, so be it. That's what makes me happy

Yeah, he has a handful i'd like. A couple we would be so far apart based on his price i doubt its even worth asking. A couple others though are fairly close so i wanted to try and talk to him and see if we could work a decent deal for the group. Guess i'll just go thru eBay though so we'll see how it goes.

That is an AWESOME looking copy you have there! Thats about as nice a 4.0 as you will EVER see I would KILL to someday get a copy like that since i'll never stop buying Avengers, Spideys and X-men long enough to save up enough for an unrestored that looks anywhere near as nice as that one! Congrats, that is a SWEET book!

Such an under rated book. Late the party but +1,000,000! Such an AWESOME book and one of the best covers in Marvel history imo (thumbs u That is an AMAZING looking copy you've got there Someday when i finish my run, i'm going to upgrade my 9.2 to a sick looking 9.4-9.6 like yours

Nice! That is a sick looking 9.2 I don't even wanna what a 9.2 ran you much less what a 9.6 would be! I'm happy to just have the reprint

It was such a nice frealing book for a 5.5 before those sigs! I never got close enough to a deal with the seller to ever bother calling and getting the graders notes but that thing was about the nicest 5.5 I've get seen! Unless the scans are photoshopped that was a CRAZY nice 5.5. I can't believe he completely ruined it Unsigned, he was asking 3k and wouldn't budge. I made two MUCH more than fair offers and just got a condescending response shooting down my offers he was prepared " to wait as long as it takes to get his price". No one paid "his price" in over a year. For the life of me, I can't understand how he thinks those two HORRIBLE sigs is gonna make someone shell out another 2k! Hell, you could get a 7.0 and have money left over for that! Any sigs woulda annoyed me but I can't believe just how bad those ones look! That dang Stan Lee cockroach book barely looks worse!

Well, the dream is dead I LOVE the Suscha news pedigree books and even though the Suscha news #1 was a 5.5 and lower than I'd like, I really wanted that book. It's been on eBay for over a year with a ridiculously high BIN. I tried a couple times to work a fair deal with no luck. Even if the price wasn't insanely high, I'd never buy the book now. Those sigs just completely kill the entire book. Now, I get that lower grades like 5.5's are the perfect cAndidates for SS but NOT Pedigree books for gods sake! So sad! Guys, don't SS Pedigree books please!

So youre the one that made me overpay for it huh?!? , just kidding ya. Sorry though, just can't pass up a nice Avengers Ped, especially one that I don't even have an under copy of that looks that nice

How does that even happen where the ENTIRE print run has that exact same defect of a few rips in the corner? What was the print run for that book? I don't know a heck of a lot about printing but that just strikes me as a odd defect for the entire print run to have

Those were some NICE books! If i didnt already have to sell the wife, kids and a few vital organs to make it thru the HA and Clink auctions this month i would definitely have tried to grab a few.
