  1. I hear ya but just make sure of your grade. Figure out what you think each grade is and then I'd check GPA to see what it's worth in that grade. Even though it may seem to make no sense to buy a slabbed issue you already have raw, it probably is a better deal on some of those. Say one of your books is worth $30 in it's grade. Even for a value tier, it's probably about $25-27.50 per submission once you factor in shipping there and back. If you could buy that issue already slabbed for $30-35, I'd do that. For $35, you can get the slab and guarantee grade and sell your raw for say $10-12. That way, you not only get it cheaper but also don't have to worry about your raw grading lower than you thought. Like I said, just check the numbers on GPA and see what costs you the least. If you don't have GPA, you can pm me your list and I'll tell you what they are all worth in your grade (thumbs u
  2. Maybe, but they would pretty much have to be at least 9.0-9.2 to be "sound" I think. Don't get me wrong and please don't take offense. I'm not saying anything against those books, I think they are all sweet. But from the scans, most don't look to be at least 9.2ish. If they are 9.0 or lower, they're pretty close to being cheaper to buy already slabbed. 8.0-8.5, it's usuallyy cheaper to buy them already slabbed and sometimes even 9.0's. Believe me, I've followed almost all the Avengers auctions at the big sites for the last 9 months and most of them have been going WAY cheap unless they are ultra HG( and even a lot of those have been damn cheap). Just my advice but anything you think isn't definitely at least a 9.0, I wouldn't pay to have graded. Again, don't think I'm saying anything against your books, it's just cheaper most times to buy them already slabbed unless they are fairly HG. Those are all sweet and if you WANT them slabbed for your collection, go for it. Itight just cost you a little extra though. Either way, they're still sweet but definitely repost them if you get them graded and let us know what they got (thumbs u
  3. I have been looking for this one in 9.4 with white pages and perfect centering....Not an easy book with those qualities. You wouldn't think so, but it's a toughie....I am not looking for a 9.6 myself, but great addition ! (thumbs u And the Hulk 4 with white pages is truly a special books Thank you! yeah, you'd think it would be easy to find since there is almost 100 9.4-9.8 copies on the census but they dont show up very often seemingly. This issue does seem to usually have a mis-wrap. The copy i have isnt nearly mis-wrapped bad enough to bother me though. Straight miswraps as small as the one on my 141 doesnt affect me at all. Oh and foom, That PLOD #1 is AWESOME!!! You're definitely making me green with envy with that Hulk 1 and AF15 1 Both of those are freaking SWEET!
  4. +1 Those are some sweet books but other than maybe 1 or 2, i dont think it would be financially sound to have them graded. Most of those issues can be bought slabbed for less than the cost of grading in the grades most of those look to be. Heck, even in 9.4-9.6, most of those issues can be won in auctions for less than $100. Avengers are definitely one of the cheapest of the mainstream Marvel books that are out there.
  5. A few that ive picked up the last couple months
  6. Sweet #1 there Columbia comics Damn! Two new Avengers collectors in one week! We might finally be able to keep this thread on page 1 like it belongs
  7. OMG!!! That is all of our worst nightmares!!! So sorry! I've nevr had any kind of problem like that but i'm a little surprised you had that much damage to the books. If the books are bagged and boarded, i would have thought that 4 inches of water wouldnt have done that much damage. Doesnt the bags keep the water out as long as it isnt high enough to hit the opening on the back? I guess the bags aren't water proof and some still leaks in?
  8. Sweet books kingcom99! It's nice to see some new blood who collects the greatest comic in history other than just me and ssasemble! Keep em coming! Unless I'm posting a new Avengers I've gotten, this thread hits page 2 by the end of the day. No love in this forum for my beloved avengers
  9. a couple that i picked up in the Clink auction. I was never much of a TTA fan growing up and probably only had maybe 2-3 issues in my collection but they've definitely been growing on me. Other than Avengers and X-men, probably my 3rd favorite title right now.
  10. VERY nice!!! Especially the 47 & 61 Congrats Seeing sweet copies like those really makes me miss not working on my X-men run. If I can ever finish my Avengers run, working on my X-men's will definitely be my #1 priority.
  11. I've only cracked 1 slab in my life but when i get this one in hand, i'm VERY tempted to crack it so i can read the "ME? I HATE FISH" story!
  12. I'm definitely NOT a fan of SS books especially HG copies but i couldnt pass this one up. I've wanted a HG copy for awhile and this one went for barely half what a regular 9.8 would go for It would be nice if it was at least signed by someone that actually had something to do with the book rather than the generic "It's a Marvel comic so lets have Stan sign it!"
  13. I won this last week in the comiclink eBetter auction. I dont know anything about it whatsoever and had never seen or heard of the title but i thought it was a really cool cover for some reason It was sitting at what i thought was a VERY low price so i put in a thrill bid for the next bid increment and won. I figured i couldnt go wrong with a 60 year old 9.4 comic that i thought was cool for WELL under 100 bucks
  14. That's quite the shopping spree you went on!!! Congrats
  15. I have always LOVED that book(who hasn't?!?) and that is an INCREDIBLE copy! When you get that in hand, please explain to me how in the hell that isnt a 9.8 Congrats man! Thanks but GPA shows a 9.4 Pac Coast sale so this was probably a resub. Having said that this does look like a pretty sharp copy. More Suscha Subby's coming up in the next auction, might have to splurge a bit on a few of them. Probably but not necessarily. A lot of those have multiple copies so you never know. I've never been able to find a definitive list of the Pedigree issues and which issues have multiple copies out there Either way, whocares! Like you said, even if it was a press/resub to get the 9.6, thats a DAMN sharp copy! I've got a 9.4ish raw that i bought dirt cheap at a 50% off sale about 20 years ago or i would have been on that book like white on rice!
  16. I have always LOVED that book(who hasn't?!?) and that is an INCREDIBLE copy! When you get that in hand, please explain to me how in the hell that isnt a 9.8 Congrats man!
  17. Those aren't similar!!! One's an awesome marvel comic and the other one is a crappo, drek DC book
  18. Very nice. A Curator copy too. Gotta love that. Thanks! I only have 2-3 Curator books but they are all pretty sweet! You gotta love that Ped, especially if you like Trannies!!!
  19. That is NICE!!! BUT........having Don sign your book in lipstick to you might raise some questions about your guys "relationship"
