  1. PLEASE READ ALL OF THE INFO Raw Superman 1 - Incomplete NG grade Coverless, & missing the CF. (I will add a color copy of the cover & CF so it'll at least feel complete.) This Superman 1 was put together using 2 copies that were married together. The 1st 4 wraps are from one copy, and the rest of the comic is from the other copy. The 1st 4 wraps are of lesser quality as you will see in the photos. The 1st 2 wraps are missing some margin pieces. The first 4 wraps have been glued along the spine. I never tried to separate them, but perhaps a resto guy/gal that knows glue can safely dissolve the glue. The page quality of the first 4 wraps is probably LT-CR (except for the extreme bottom of the last page which is slightly brittle). I have no problem handling the whole comic, but I'm definitely handling it with care. The 1st 4 wraps also have some thin slivers of Archival tape keeping some small tears from getting worse. The rest of the comic thats here (11 wraps) is actually pretty nice quality, especially the closer you get to the middle. Extremely supple with nice edges. I do see a couple of tiny tears that have slivers archival tape, but these 11 wraps are all in all pretty nice. I'm going to take a pic of every single page for you so you can make the right call on buying this or not. $10,799 $9999 $9499 shipped (last "complete" coverless went for $16433)
  2. Normal Rules apply No HOS or Probation members. US destinations only. Shipped USPS Registered Insured 1st in the thread trumps any PMs Payment by Postal MOs, or certified check. Return is OK within 7 days of receiving. I need to get it back in the same shape it was sent obviously.
  3. I guess this storyline was so popular they did a recap of it in another issue.
  4. You mean this "insect ring thing" lasted more than one story???
  5. Superboy comics have amazingly bad stories/ideas. In this one Lana helped out an Alien and he gave her a ring that would let her change into any insect.
  6. "I've forgotten all about my world, except it's name. .... but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night"
  7. I like foreign editions of key issues I would LOVE to have that comic, but NOT with that sig.
  8. Looks like Stan "redacted" the face of the Sub-Mariner.
  9. I can't read this. Is there a better image?
  10. It's always a good idea to walk around carrying a beehive of angry bees wearing a leotard. If only he had a Beatnik around so the thing would open wider.
  11. I just figured something out...... Not being able to work for a month because of the virus is allowing me WAY TOO MUCH extra time on the boards here.
  12. Maybe Wertham was right..... comics do rot kids brains.
  13. And now that I think of it, everyone in the theatre started laughing. Actors disguised as Beatniks ARE funny!
  14. Didn't Toby McGuire become a dancing Beatnik in Spiderman 3?
  15. Yes, but would that make the Giant open his mouth? It's all about getting the Giant to open his mouth. How about this..... yelling, "HEY GIANT, OPEN YOUR MOUTH"
  16. Maybe they can throw her into the giants mouth.
  17. Why get a Beatnik OR an Actor? Weren't there Stand-up comedians back then? I DON'T understand DC comic writers!!!!
  18. Pretty sure an "actor disguised as a beatnik" wouldn't make him laugh either. And..... why get an Actor?????? Why not just get a real Beatnik?
  19. This is SO unbelievably lame. This Giant gets a stomach ache from eating Green Apples. The military decides to try and shoot a huge antacid pill into his mouth from an airplane but the Giant won't open his mouth. So this boy comes up with an idea to have an "Actor disguised as a Beatnik" talk to the Giant and make him laugh. Then the boy shoots the pill into his mouth.
  20. Simply unbelievable that a 9.4 of that comic exists. Disney comics were probably read more times on average than any other comic.
  21. Right????? OMG.... I thought it said "animal picnic", it says "annual picnic". I gotta get my eyes checked.
  22. "closed today during animal picnic"? That's a weird detail.
  23. Exploiting children.... always a good storyline. The old Quid Pro Quo... give me a scoop and I'll give you the antidote. Tell me again.... why are we supposed to like Lois? Is she a moral person?
  24. I love the Disney comics too. But.... I have never felt they were a good investment. I have a bunch but purely because I love them. However.... the closer we get to: The 100th anniversary of Disney (in 3 years) The 100th anniversary of Mickey (in 8 years) The 100th anniversay of Donald (14 years) There's bound to be a huge uptick in Disney comics corresponding to those events.
