  1. Flaws are basically what you see. Back cover can use a little cleaning. None of these creases will get better with a press, but I'll probably press it anyway.
  2. Got this back from CGC today. Highest graded on the census. I actually think it might look better than the US ASM 101. In that comic the cover art is crowded and cropped too tight. The art has been expanded slightly here. I think it frames up better. As a bonus Thor 165 is in here too.
  3. I love the comic & love the grade. I HATE that there is NO mention of ASM 101 reprint. THOR 165 is in this comic too, but no mention. Ugh
  4. Comic is tight at the staples. 1-1/8" split at the bottom of spine.
  5. Comic is tight at the staples. 1/4" spine split at top. A 1/4" tear above the "C" at the top. A little spine wear.
  6. Comic is tight at the staples The flaws on this one are basically the creases you see on the cover & general wear.
  7. Got it. I didn't even look at the description to see what they were doing, I was numbed by the shear number of Af15s they put up.
  8. Holy mother of Zod, look at this sales thread.... 7 - AF15s for sale + a splash page. 12 - ASM 1s for sale https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_ssn=bmc.london&store_name=bmclondon&_dmd=2&_oac=1&_trksid=p2047675.m3561.l2562
  9. None of them were bag/boarded (in the normal method). The guy said he got them all from a woman who had them all stacked RAW in a garage. HE wasn't a comic guy himself so this was his method of storing them.
  10. There's about 20 more Archies and about 75 Walt Disneys from the 1960s He asked for $1000 (I love when they throw out a number 1st). I countered with $900. Done deal. I feel good about that price. There will be some work involved selling cheap stuff, but I think I will do fine.
  11. My phone starts ringing. A number I didn't recognize, but it identified it as being a town I used to live in so I answered it. Turned out to be a friend of a friend of a friend I knew in that town. He had some comics "cluttering" up his garage and he heard that I was a collector (THIS IS WHY YOU TELL EVERYONE YOU KNOW THAT YOU COLLECT COMICS). I asked him the normal basic questions.... era? Cover price? Marvel/DC? etc.... He didn't know much, but he mentioned lots of 12c Disney (ugh) Lots of 12c Bugs bunny, Little lulu, tom & jerry, and other cartooney stuff (ugh), lots of Archie (this perked my interest a little). I asked him... Superheroes? Marvel? DC? He said lots of 12c Superman/Superboy/justice league. Finally he said... "I'm holding a Journey Into Mystery 88". BINGO! I drove the 1hr today hoping hoping hoping that there were more early Marvels. It turned out to be not the greatest collection but still well worth the drive. The JIM 88 turned out to be in horrid shape (1.0-1.5). And then there was a Green Lantern 76 "woohoo". Here's some pics.
  12. Because they don't make left hands like they used to.
  13. To me it looks like an attempt may have already been made along the spine to scrape some CT under the price box
  14. One of the first lessons when studying how to draw a human head is that the eyes are aligned half way down the oval of the human head. Her eyes look like they're about 1/4 of the way down the oval (which means she has almost no brains I guess). I still kind of like the art though.
  15. They're encouraging the carnage so they can swoop in with their salve to help with the injuries that will ensue.
  16. You took one for the team. Your wife is going to see those pop up ads and think wtf?
  17. Comic is coming back to me as a 9.2. That means.... 100% accuracy in your grading of my comic. It ALSO means I have the single highest graded copy of this according to the census. On a side note.... I don't think they put on the label that it's a reprint of ASM 101
