  1. Watched the 1st 2 and i'm hooked. I don't know how a True Blood / Office mashup rocks, but it does!
  2. I've really come to appreciate Truman's art. He does some great work!
  3. Same, I sat for the 1st half going "this is dumb, I can't see what's going on!!" I turned the brightness way up on my TV and that made it tolerable.
  4. Been reading a bit on reddit, and apparently the writers are getting a lot of backlash for the finale there and on facebook. WTF is wrong with people? I guess it's the internet so i should just expect this stuff.
  5. This show keeps on going. Great season, great finale, I just wish they had given Elliot more screen time in the final episode.
  6. I would also add it depends on your definition of "Low End Art" I know some people here think anything under about 5k is low end art. I'd also take into consideration the % of retail you're willing to take. Just sending a stack of art to Clink might get you a lot closer to retail vs selling wholesale to a dealer. But you'll get money a lot faster.
  7. Yup, I saw that. I was hoping he wouldn't try to hock-off damaged books on his fans, but alas, i guess that wasn't the case.
  8. I got my Artgerm copies in this week. I ordered 3 of the 2 book set (1 golden / 1 regular per set) 0 out of 6 are worth grading, all of them have spine or back cover wear and damage, I email'd them to see if i can get replacement copies. IMO the best one would be around a 9.2/9.4 and down from there for the other copies. Anyone else have similar issues?
  9. Acts 1 and 2 of Wonder Woman are so much better than anything in captain marvel, but the steaming pile of that is act 3 of wonder woman, every part of Cap Marvel beats. i'd rather watch the movie that is 2/3 a 9 out of 10 (WW), than a movie that's a 7 throughout (CM), but enjoyed both a lot,
  10. I agree a next gen Rushmore is cool. I love Artgerm, but can you put someone on Rushmore that doesn't really do interiors (I know he did a few, but now he's pretty much covers only) It's kind of like the argument of if Art Adams should be there, he's one of the top handful of most influential artists ever, but he's done so few issues of comic interiors vs the field.
  11. I put a cardboard sandwich (wrapped in bubble wrap) inside of a u-line rigi-mailer and have had 0 issues shipping all over the place for years.
  12. Wow! That's a dangerous post. Everyone knows you don't mess with Big Monkey.
  13. Maybe i'm in the wrong groups, but I don't see tons of people sharing "fresh" art in Facebook groups, the ones i'm in, it's about the same 3-5 members sharing stuff, and then a few different people selling. IG has a few people that share art, but pretty much all of them post on CAF as well, but I have found the odd collector that is a comic fan and is a "1 off" comic art purchase. It is a great place to see artists that are doing modern stuff share their work. CAF needs to update. Their site is a few generations behind the modern internet that needs to be revamped, and they need an app if they want those eyes again (IMO).
  14. I went in a marvel themed Disney cruise last year. It's pretty cool, but I learned I hate cruises.
  15. Saw it last night on 3d, last showing, theatre was about 1/3 full. It was really, really good. One of the better villains, but was a bit intense, I don't think I'll be taking my daughter to see it. IMO, scarier than any marvel movie. A little slow at times to get going in, but overall a fun time. I put this as the best Capitan marvel movie of the spring. 8/10
  16. oh yeah, for sure, a disjointed episode of this show is still better than most of the other stuff i see on TV. I actually have grown to enjoy (empathize with, more than like?) almost every character in this show, and that's pretty rare for me.
  17. I think there are too many variables. it's like asking "how can i tell if it's butter or not" the era the art was created, the materials (painted, bristol, vellium) how it was created (pencils over inks, inks over blue lines, penciler is also inker), are there paste ups? is it modern? is it a franken cover that some nefarious force put fake paste ups on to sell a pinup as an unused cover? In summation, my answer is: 42.
  18. Finally got to watch it last night. They should have made it a fill Margot episode and pushed an the other plot lines to next week. The episode felt very disjointed.
  19. Clearly, we're all just waiting for the Rock to come in as Moon Knight!
  20. I have all my acrylic paintings behind glass. Basic reason: I feel safer cleaning glass than dusting paint.
  21. That sums my experience up as well. I think I finished 6 and read 20 pages of 7 and gave up. I agree with what other said, a condensed story on TV might be great.
  22. Artgerm just posted on Instagram that half his golden age variants were either missing or damaged. Missing is the part that is messing with me. Were they stolen? Did they just not get shipped? Seems like a part of this story is missing.
  23. Another stellar season. I never read the books, are they flying without a net at this point? Or are they still following the books?
  24. you are mis-remembering your movies. Quato didn't come out of the back of the head.
