  1. Also, this is the run that launched Vertigo, and was the beginning of the "British Invasion" in comics. There's many a reason why (IMO) his swamp thing run should be held in high regard.
  2. This has to be a grail if sandman art, 1st scene she's in, and every panel is death or dream
  3. I signed up yesterday before the flood, if you can get in, it breaks down to about $4.50 a month. pretty good deal!
  4. I always assumed that a super advanced AI would be running simulations of every possible action Neo could take and that was showing all the other choices he could have possibly made, and that each "one" was a different person. Otherwise they'd be cloning neo, and that's never mentioned. Neo looked the way he did, because he actually looked like that in the real world.
  5. I think we all know the real name is going to be Matrix: Resurrection I'm not going to put money on it, but i'll be shocked if i'm not right.
  6. Glad to hear this ended well. Amazing how it didn't just get returned to the sender when the address was messed up.
  7. IMO, Based on the last few sales, an A list Thompson Sandman should be on the cusp of 10k. And Quitely Invisibles is in the 3-5k range now, or will be really soon if it's isn't there already.
  8. If you have any TV series, Young Justice is amazing.
  9. Very cool! I also believe that the art from issue 1 was re-inked and used again in Palladium's RPG TMNT and Other Strangeness.
  10. Saw it this weekend. Both my wife and I loved it. I felt like it was refreshing to let the movie breathe and have character w/o break neck pacing of most modern movies. It was definitely a throwback to the 70's style movie. Every character and actor was amazing, the little girl from the TV show was the highlight for me, she had such a small part, but was perfect and important to Leo's character. Very different from his earlier works, but a lot of fun. 4/5 for me.
  11. very cool! Sometimes I wonder what those Parkinson panoramic Everquest paintings would go for if Sony ever let them go. I am thinking those results would turn some heads.
  12. Did you email them or the listing just said won't ship to the United States? If you are just looking at the listing, I'd shoot off an email. If he still says no, maybe see if you can find a comic shop or some other 3rd party to help.
  13. The Dollop is a American History / Comedy podcast. The conceit is that the comedian has no idea what the topic is and just talks about the facts as they're presented. I find it pretty interesting and it can be pretty damn funny at times. http://thedollop.libsyn.com/77-thomas-kinkade
  14. After listening to the Dollop about Kinkade I'll never be able to look at his art the same way. Most of the time I can separate the art from the artist, but this is one case where it's so apparent he was just out to take advantage of his fanbase that I can't.
  15. Just to add to this a bit. Mark is also a REP not a dealer. which means that he gets 99% of his art directly from the artist, not through 2nd or 3rd hand. When dealing with Reps, you should always feel a lot more confident you're getting what they're saying you're getting.
  16. Maybe i'm strange, but I believe if you own something, you can price it however you want. and we get to choose to buy it or not. What I dislike is that there's a lack of disclosure on exactly what you may be buying and if it's been tampered with at all. Be honest with what i'm buying and i'm a big boy, i can make my decision. Lie / withhold and there's an issue.
  17. In no particular order, and not mentioned above: Jerome Opena: Wow, he's slow. But OMFG is he good. From his run on Uncanny X-Force that got me back into moderns, to his work on 7 to Eternity, he could draw a book about dirt and make it into an epic. Giuseppe Camuncoli: One of the most prolific modern Spider-Man artists going. A great blend of old and new school style, and great storytelling. Esad Ribic: Epic painted covers, and also has the talent to do some amazing interior work. His Thor run is the stuff of dreams. Dave Johnson: This is the one cover artist that I'll put on a list like this. I found him from 100 Bullets and from there he's continued to impress me. Also the only time I know he did interiors was Red Son, which was also phenomenal.
  18. 10, 10 wins add an extra 0 for savings.
  19. I think it's great. you've instigated some interesting conversations.
  20. Yup, I've read more than once the show makes 1 billion a year, and each cast member gets 2%. https://ktar.com/story/2373456/each-member-of-friends-cast-makes-20m-every-year-due-to-reruns/
  21. it's a real double-edged sword. I think creators also feel burnt by giving away freebies then seeing them on ebay the next day. Adam Hughes is a prime example of a guy that just got fed up with the flippers. So, it might hurt the industry as a whole, but we know that 1 Blank-hole can ruin it for everyone (and pretty much has in comics)
  22. I forget the exact details, but the paypal transaction email always looks different. I can usually tell when someone used paypal credit vs just paying for it. It's doesn't spell it out directly on the email, but the format of the email is different.
  23. is this the replacement for HBO Now? HBO is already expensive at $15 per month, would this be even more??
