  1. Doesn't this whole thing sound like Justin? it does, he does.
  2. why did you have to respond so quickly, I was still making amendments to my post.
  3. what was justin's board name, all I remember about Justin is he was enamored with Captain America.
  4. oh, I totally agree, but how many did you manage to snag. One of each cover - although I could have bought as many as I wanted (of the standard cover anyway). It's not very common at all for Forbidden Planet in London to be cleaned out of any book on the day of release - not a big one like this anyway. There were at least a couple of hundred on the shelves when I finally got there last Friday. Ok, I was a little worried you were one of those joining the ranks of the unsullied, glad to hear you picked up a few. As for the comment that the book was soon to become unreadable, I don't get that comment. There are Digital prints, both legal and illegal, the TPBs which collect a few volumes of the book, heck, if it's popular enough, a fan made motion comic on youtube. INACCESSIBLE would be the least of my concerns when it comes to readers. I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you're being serious: I was talking about this thread becoming unreadable, not the book. sorry, misunderstood that comment. But I also have no problem with the direction of the thread, it's always so during the speculative phase that chatter would focus on value and numbers. Give them time to divest themselves of their copies and for those copies to filter to the ranks of the readers and collectors, than we might have a more substantive thread not focused on speculation but rather more on the story.

  7. It's my fault, I jokingly said this was a mini earlier in the thread because the first story arc was only 4 issues and someone called it weak. The Last of Us was further propelled by the release of the video game and the hype that surrounded it and early movie hype.
  8. if roy had a body like that, I think everyone here would want to *spoon* him.
  9. I thought I read Larry mention that they were all 1000 for each of the variants. He didn't name specific variants
  10. Joey, have you noticed if they were frayed as of the time of production, because I feel that some of my books didn't allows exhibit that but slowly over time began to develop that frayed spine.
  11. Hi, I'm not new here, but when I first joined I was a sweet and kind person. NOW I'M A TOTAL *SPOON*!!
  12. Just received my third eye and forbidden planet variants and they also appear to exhibit some of the same defects as the main print run.
  13. You may also see it referred to as fraying. I'll post pictures of a 9.6 sandman that exhibits this feathering/fraying on the spine with 1/16 to 1/8 spine splits. there are some books that are prone to this kind of damage, particularly books from the 90's like sandman and preacher, spawn books also. I really don't know how cgc views this, but by the example I'll show, it does not appear to impact grade as severely as one would think. I'll post the pictures when I'm home.
  14. you ruined my whole summer, WHOLE SUMMER. I just remembered the tpb is coming out soon, I'll be ok.
  15. Come July, I'm going to walk into midtown and pick up all the copies of the short printed frog cover while everyone is scampering for the more common McFarlane cover.
  16. aww man, its a Mini series, I bought all the variants, *spoon*. No its not you turd what's up bud finished watching the bike rider's yeah, I spent three hour annoying the heck out the police officer standing watch at the cross section. Its very out of the way, so I was the only person there most of the time. In previous years I've had officers tell me to "get out of here" and "stop bothering me", its become a bit of a tradition of mine to annoy the cops there on bike NYC day.
