  1. Wow that was graded extremely harsh based on the fc scan
  2. Theres my pal, J. When did you get into your 6.0, if you dont mind me asking? By the way, very nice sig line.
  3. Dan purchased one of my spideys, great communication, and quick payment. A++
  4. Thanks for all the kind words Bob, I'm happy I didn't. It really is a nice book for the grade. At first I was reluctant to do the trade because it's not your average comic due to the scraping/paper loss of the ct. So I didn't know how the market would treat it if I ever did need to resell. I've had it for a while now and just happy I got in. Good chance I would have never made it into the club unless it was a complete rag.
  5. Very nice and bright copy congratulations! Did you have the CT removal done yourself? -J. I've had this book maybe a year and change. I traded for it as is. Previous owner had the ct removed don't recall the grade I was told in it's ct form.
  6. 3.0 ow/w only pic I have of my child ha ha. My poor baby suffers paper loss from ct removal. Flawless back cover though and is structurally sound.
  7. Prices on this book are insane..... Glad I traded my x 1 7.0 ow/w for my measly af15 3.0 ow/w no MC when I did... I'll get a pic up shortly, don't think I've posted it here yet.
  8. SC 14 8.0 that looks sick! Disclaimer: not my book. I don't collect DC.
  9. Anecdotally, anything is possible. But if a "cr/ow" went for more than either book a week earlier or later, what could we possibly divine from those results either way? -J. Nothing because the cr/ow didn't sell the same day/auction as the OW/W and WHITE. Then what does a hypothetical, anecdotal auction prove ? -J. You are annoying. I now know to never ever interact with you on the boards. Thank you.

  11. Jaydog, face it dude! PQ does matter! I personally don't care much about PQ, I try to keep my spideys ow/w but I have purchased cream/ow and just ow. I have also paid premiums for books based on PQ. If the PQ didn't factor, the seller wouldn't ask for more. Put two books in an auction Identical FC/BC 9.8s but one is OW/W and one is WHITE. I will bet me bottom dollar the White beats out the OW/W every. single. auction.
  12. Not every collector is a "'PQ' snob". And some outright just don't care about it, understanding the arbitrariness of it (barring brittle, of course). -J. low pq tends to fall short of books with superior pq when it's time to sell. So yes pq matters. This does not occur on any verifiable or consistent basis. -J. Okay Jaydog Overstreet. Whatever you say buddy.
  13. Congratulations. I placed a bid on this and then walked away and went out tonight fearing that I would be stupid and pick this up. I do want a pre-Robin tec and at least by my budget, a copy of this is probably the most obtainable. If anyone was going to get it. I actually am glad it was you. Congrats Peter. I am happy to see you continue to build this collection we see you assembling. It is pretty damn cool. +1 and as long as batman is on the cover!!!

  15. Purchased an asm 4 and 6 both arrived safely and super quick. A++++
  16. do you have a scan of the book? Id love to see it.
  17. Do you have a scan of the book when it was a 5.5 ? no I'm not a scan hoarder. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong though. Pretty sure the book was involved in a general chat clink win thread for the month. My search function skills are terrible.
  18. Upcoming CLink, I believe this was a 5.5 a month or two ago. Nice book
  19. you deserve the probation list my friend. What would you do with your 5 figure book if rick never offered? Oh yea, exactly, sell it to quad man.
  20. Very nice...and I assume you read it VERY CAREFULLY! Congrats on the upgrade. Looks like a legit 6.5 to me too. Looks much nicer than a 6.5. +111
  21. Pressing has opened pandoras box. Paper mechanics have moved on. The easy press and flip is gone, the home runs have been pressed, and every one does it. Now its about shifting a spine to increase eye appeal, removing/lightening stains, and I cant even imagine what else some of these people do. I'm amazed at some of the "transformations" these books go through. I don't begrudge them though, it's CGCs failed system. There's a reason I own less than 10 graded books now. I don't want to be the one holding the hot potato. I'll keep grabbing my VG/FN- VF raw under copies.
  22. The golden age of CPR are long gone anyhow. The market has been pillaged by the few in the know at the time.
  23. It became the norm when people started seeing the same book they sold last month, next month with a diff grade for 3x more.
