  1. I wish...maybe if it goes cheap I could take it
  2. +1 Well said. A bank keeps getting robbed every few weeks, but let's not vote to make the bank more secure, makes sense to me... and there have been shootings at schools lets give every child, teacher and assistant one to ensure safety wow only a sith deals in absolutes.
  3. recorded high = $3,750 (was in 2013) average price of 2013 = $2,139 or 57% of high current low price I have seen = $1,600 (fyi no one bought it) or 43% of high book has dropped 67% versus high and 25% versus average of 2013 $600 = 38% of $1,600 => While an aggressive forecast in a year, not all that "stupid" long term. Try to be a little nicer with your insults. Waits for you to see how silly the number crunching of the above is.
  4. Seems like people have a perception issue. If the book comes out on average every 5 weeks (thumbs u but when it says hey will be out in 4 and gets pushed back a week its a Sounds like when people get excited for buying a book at $120 with free shipping but thumb their noses at the same book at $100 + $20 for shipping cause that is way over priced shipping. Love Bedlam and hope it continues for a long while.
  5. That is a great picture. This should hit close to home Jimmy. Hope all goes well
  6. How do you know slym? You get an email or something? Question, if someone actually does bought them here, what would be the communities reaction to that person? If we knew who bought them. If you click the "NOTIFY" button it will either let you submit a notify report or say mods have already been notified.
  7. What's worse is someone is going to have $12.96 invested in that book. Do I smell a mystery box or if the slab has a crack in it could be used for the secret santa next year.
  8. Not sure if serious or not +1 I hate you. prob would have been faster to just click quote and see what the secret message was
  9. There is 0 obligation for Dale to keep the book regardless of if Sammy wants it or not. If Sammy wants to get off the list it is up to him and Dale to reach an agreement (often suggested a donation to a charity or similar).
  10. Shhh. Don't tell everyone! I’m just trying to be fair, as more accurate grading is always better for both parties. To balance that, I must admit that a few books in the FVF/VF- range appear very slightly overgraded, but it is hard to tell from scans only. Andy’s grading is spot on (safely a bit undergraded, like I tend to do), but everyone has its "weak spot" where he undergrades. Mine tends to be in the G+ to VG- range – they are all G/G+ to me… You are wrong. It won't get poofed. They clearly know one another and are merely conversing about grading books. This is what used to happen all the time before the selling threads became a freak show of kvetching, hand-wringing and teeth clenching. If you look for a ghost behind every tree, you'll find one. closest thing I could find to a ghost behind a tree to be fair, if I knew neither I would be hesitant to buy any books in this thread as someone already pointed out he's over grading. to be fair #2 - i personally rely on my own grading despite what most folks put on along with their scans and these comments would not affect me nor would the others that have been posted Regardless of threadcrapping, everybody is pointing to this about overgrading. Wasn't it about undergrading, and meant in a positive? That's how I read it. It started off saying hey that looks undergraded and then followed it with except I think your others are overgraded. looks like your grading skills are weak in that area. mine are strong in that area compared to yours.
  11. Did you have an alarm clock waiting for the 72 hrs to be up . The still posts as if there was never a pm or anything worth saying... he is clearly a classy guy. Prob saved yourself a headache down the road regardless.
  12. you told me Feb Pay your bills before you go thinking about spending more money. Since you don't reply to PM's Dale sent you: http://boards.collectors-society.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=7367968Post7367968
  13. http://boards.collectors-society.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Main=327368&Number=7368420#Post7368420 Wonder if he has been on the boards since Dale sent him the PM
  14. Send him the PM in a separate PM thread. And if it hasn't been 30 days, can you show where he said definitively that he won't be paying you? Started a new PM thread for it. I can provide PM evidence where he said exactly that. Take a screen shot sooner than later as one can edit it if he wants to delay it longer. Hopefully this will light a fire under his .
  15. He should just pay and sell them back here like a couple of others did after they over spent in your thread
  16. ugh you're Dale Roberts. Pretty sure your word is good around here until someone says otherwise. (thumbs u Well, whatever, just want to be part of the community and follow all the requirements. As I said, I have never had to do this before, which is actually pretty cool, since I have sold about 5000 books on here. Send him a PM saying you are nominating him for the PL and a link here.
  17. Where did you get the cake topper done?
  18. How do you of all ppls not know about the Eh variant? http://boards.collectors-society.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=6941184
  19. I agree Speedy, though I will say there have been quite a few newer buyers who threw up the per PM when they made an offer, but the seller didnt accept the offer, so it was still available. (as opposed to the usual practice of sending the PM, negotiating, coming to an agreement and THEN posting the "I'll take it per PM" post). If I saw a newer user put up the per PM, and there was no subsequent from the OP I might roll the dice that I could still win it. Or the if X falls through.
  20. Finally a friday thread!!! Oh did Dale hold ppls up for money...seems like half the ppls that bought from him are having to sell books back to the community I noticed that as well and thought Wait, how can you grade comics if you're..... Daredevil style
  21. http://boards.collectors-society.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=7359659#Post7359659 Could get good
