  1. Gabe if you ship it international surface or international air you will lose both the book and the 220$ usd. Explain why.
  2. "Insisting" which was the language used does imply that the transaction was some what tense when hither to for there was no one insisting that he as the seller should invoice them instead of them preparing their own goods and services Paypal payment. That's why he posted, to gain some clarity. So my statement stands. Transactions are not as smooth as they used to be no matter how small the hiccup. There are an immense amount of transactions conducted here without a hitch. The majority of Boardies (certainly the ones I've dealt with) are fantastic to work with, both from a buying or selling aspect. What more are you asking for? People trust each other and there are no fees involved. If you don't like it, there are plenty of other environments where you can buy or sell Stay on topic. I am speaking specifically to new boardies who are making this less of a community with all the "insistence". The ones that want immediate payment without stating it in their threads, that invoice so quickly they don't know who they are invoicing, etc. I buy all the time and I have great experiences but that's getting somewhat strained of late. Furthermore ,why would I speak on the awesome sellers and smooth transaction buyers when they are not the problem? ( don't answer- that is a rhetorical question) I don't see quick invoicing as being any kind of problem. If you post an :takeit:in someone's thread, in most cases it's done quickly so you secure the book and prevent someone else getting it. Why should not a seller invoice quickly? There could be several reasons. They may need the money quickly for another purchase. They may just need the money. They may just want to keep on top of their sales/buyers particularly if they have a lot of stuff to shift. If getting a speedy invoice upsets you then a quick pm on your part along the lines of; "Hi. Got your invoice. I will take care of it in a coupla days if that's ok? all the best etc..." You need to pick your battles and don't sweat the small stuff. Grantley this is looking like one of those battles
  3. It will come with 100 dollars insurance automatically and I'll have to see how much it will cost I guess you missed all of the other stuff. Only comprehending half the battle.
  4. So you were about to ship a $200 slab over seas with no tracking? Ya that is going to end well when he submits a paypal claim and you can't show it was delivered. Especially when it takes: Small Packet — International Surface Europe: 1-2 months
  5. I did and it gave me 6 different options Did you look at those options or just pick the first thing possible? Did you put in proper weights and sizes or just pick numbers from the wild number picking tree? Small PacketTM - International Surface - $18.44 (NO TRACKING AVAILABLE!) Small PacketTM - International Air - $38.34 (NO TRACKING AVAILABLE!) International Parcel - Surface - $48.26 (NO TRACKING AVAILABLE) Tracked PacketTM - International - 7 business days - $61.09 (YEAH TRACKING!) XpresspostTM - International - 4 business days (Guaranteed) - $89.61 (YEAH TRACKING AND SIGNATURE)!
  6. Is that a $15 profit after all fees etc? Just another word of advice...spending $115 to net $15 is not the best business model, especially when you don't deal in volume Yes and that's because I wanted a quick sale today, I also hope to sell my IH 180 today as well. So willing to sell it for $200 to make a few $ quick today...or a case of Xforce 1s?
  7. Thanksgiving was a month ago Thanks for the info though
  8. And how do you expect to sell the ff53 for any profit when only ONCE this year would you have made money on it???
  9. That was harder to do then I thought but I do have some comics I know I want to sell in 30-45 days if possible. IH 180 CGC 5.0 SS FF 53 CGC 7.0 Immortal Ion Fist 17 CGC 9.8 It's not supposed to be super easy. There is a reason to it. Would be awesome to include buy prices and your realistic sell price too.
  10. When did he say he would pay right away and when did you invoice him (time wise)
  11. You guys gotta be kitten me. This thread is nothing but a catastrophe. Meow better simba down.
  12. Because again I ignored my friends advice unlike me he's always on top of things. So maybe you should hang up the speculation shoes until you can get on top of things.
  13. Whats your current inventory? Can you break it down to: Books you will sell in <45 days, 45-180 days, >180 days Fun task no putting books into a category with a condition such as *this will sell if XYZ happens* (such as they announce Aphra is getting her own series).
  14. I have 2 cases of XForce 1 if you want to keep buying them
  15. Yes he takes lots of photos of the cosplayers him and torch work together at the cons.
  16. Yep, the voice of reason speaks to them. Honey, you're not serious about spending $500 on a comic are you? Just get Karl to pull her off to the side to take her glamour shots.
  17. Square is great. Its like 2.9% for a swipe and if you (like I have on several occasions, forgot the free card reader) its like 3.3%. As Dave said money gets into your account stupid fast. I've done a con on the weekend and had it in my account 10am on Monday. I see no issue with pricing that way or for raws either. If a book is trending right around the $50 USD price, I wouldn't be shocked to see it for sale here for $65. No need to worry about shipping, duties, taxes and you can hold the thing in your hand first before buying
