  1. Any way to determine age and fmv for these things? This one is for sale near me but this is a newer rack I believe but unclear on the topper.
  2. I own one (numbered, no letter though) and am ok with that result. Had no idea unnumbered but signed ones were floating around. Maybe a one off or just a few? I wasn't even sure a #'d print would go for that amount. It's a very nice print and is signed... but as someone said earlier in the thread - it is still a print!
  3. Are these things really $500+ depending on which one, condition, etc? what's the best way to display them amd get a black light on them?
  4. I have the Silver Surfer one but not displayed. I need to change that!
  5. Wow, so a tiny bit of knowledge! I will check them. S1-4 is on church, so 2nd and T1-4 looks like a 5th. Barcode has a # and above, outside the barcode box, is the ISBN. Oh well. I have 60-80 open ones (probably on lower end) and hardcovers. Those vintage books and modules are just so classic. Is any of that documented anywhere or is that all Qalyar-fu?
  6. Ah, gotcha, true enough. And, since we're doing some sharing in this thread and pics are always fun, here's my sealed modules...
  7. Would CGC not grade a SW book and consider it sealed, similar to video games? Or do you feel CGC would not grade it due to inability to verify the seal was original?
  8. Never really occurred to me that you'd get these graded, but sure, why not. Especially for a sealed example unless you plan to open it -- might as well slab it if that's your thing. The questions of grading and validating all the details will be an interesting thing to watch. Were these all wrapped similarly, etc? I have 15-20 sealed modules, but not sure I'd ever grade 'em.
  9. Got a little lot off marketplace today. Lower/Mid grade but some fun stuff for the price.
  10. Picked up a little Scrooge lot. The piggy bank and pen are great. Flip book is fun. Any ideas on the ceramic statue? Made in Taiwan sticker so assume not much and the hat is wrong!
  11. Picked up a couple Funky Enterprises posters. These are the felt posters that should react to a black light (haven't tested). From '96 and '97. Definitely prefer the Surfer one! Fairly well worn but fortunately mostly at the border.
  12. Getting a 10 for those hologram cards has to be difficult. Centering and easily scratched. Right? Not that the high price isn't shocking but there is a big premium for 10 vs 9 and less. Still spiked so grade it if it's a top end condition! Maybe the market stays hot foe the 3-18 months it takes to grade!
  13. We have older copies of the collected strips that my kids read. Passing on the tradition. They are timeless.
  14. The cards largely remain worthless though, right? This is about the PSA 9 and 10 chase, so pristine examples of "key" cards and sealed boxes/packs are hot. Binders of loose cards even in good shape do not seem as much a draw, though obviously moreso than 3+ months back. I figure the market remains hot until the graded cards start popping the census and the commonness of the cards becomes more obvious
  15. Did the 45k or so estimate include the other lots (posters)?
  16. I have seen that kind of piece posted locally as well. Yes they typically use actual comic pages/pieces from what I have seen. Not sure on this piece but looks like it.
  17. May be checking out a small collection with solid keys. Theyre a bit sparae on info despite having a pretty precise list. Just a few pics of individual books (not the ones I wanted to see) and general good/fair condition assessment Books of note, ASM 129, Avengers 2, Conan 1, Ghost Rider 1, Nick Fury 1-6, Dardevil 5-9, Cap 100-104. Just under 100 books total. Despite the warning flags I think its legit and think the books may be in a bit better shape from the pics though not by a ton. Only sent pics of Cap 100 and DD 5 of those. Given those books along with late SA/BA mixture, what might be a good price if all in good shape only? Will post back if I make the pickup!
  18. Some items had multiples so there's 2 Monster Manuals. There were several releases and these are both 4th edition. Not sure why he had multiples such as...
  19. Gotta be some D&D folks here. There were a few random comics in the lot as well so I say this one counts. Saw a post on Facebook marketplace for a lot of D&D items. A couple box sets, some modules/hardcovers, and a bunch of Dragon magazines were pictured. Enough for me and some fun stuff if that was it so I went to check it out. There was quite a bit more as it turned out Parents were downsizing to a retirement community and the son whose stuff this was is out west, so time to sell. I didn't look close when I was there but once home... wow. The boxes and modules in the 3rd pic are mostly sealed. The Illuminati sets are sealed. Had no idea what they were. Some really great stuff!
  20. Magneto is definitely #2. Great character, powerful, longevity. Hes got it. Of course the Sentinels are #1. As a creation of the sixties the X-men have always been a proxy for race relations and other cultural Strife in our nation. The Sentinels are the personification of this struggle with regular humanity. For me they have always represented the greatest villain or threat that the X-Men and mutants face.
  21. Not bad for a garage sale find tucked in a box of Archie's and magazines Edit -- Thanks Bird
  22. Not a garage sale but garage pickup off Facebook marketplace so I will count it. Hulk 92-105 + one shot, Infinity Gauntlet/War/Crusade 1-6, lots of Fables (not direct run), Dark Vixtory 1-13, etc. Not high grade examples (literally in a tub) but good enough!
