  1. Closer to 100 from what I see. They seemed to know they were worth more or at least newer. Other titles were 5-10. These were 25 each. I ain't complaining. Not sure I have 70-100+ hours to sink into xenoblade (not even considering FE) but for sell/trade? No brainer.
  2. Walked into a Pawn Shop today. Walked out with a couple Wii games, Fire Emblem and Xenoblade.
  3. That's a bummer. The Alien franchise, the atmosphere it brings and the sound effects might have been plenty for me. Sounds like they couldn't even get that right let alone gameplay and all the rest.
  4. Cross-posting from the garage sale thread for obvious reasons: Picked these up Saturday:
  5. No kidding, that's quite the hammer to drop in this thread. It's always a little sweeter when you "find" something.
  6. Yeah, it's a little dirty. Might be yellowed, hard to tell if I can clean it up. Wrong AC adapter. Oh yeah, and Bomberman 2 was in it. Didn't realize it was so hard to see, but that's a vintage TMNT ornament. Good weekend! Edit - actually it cleaned great with no prob. Top loader looks great
  7. Yes I intend to. Just haven't found the right thing yet. I don't want random images and am hoping to find a good scan of a long logo like I have at the top.
  8. First off, that stand is awesome. Anyway, a follow up to the map display I bought I have begun customizing the blank/branded space on the rack. I have a little space left on this side and likely some reorganizing to do, but overall I'm happy. The other side is blank and I have no idea what to put below each rack yet.
  9. Mastering those patterns is best served for the young who are eager to play the same sequence or level over and over and over and over again. The games I played more when I was a kid I do ok at, but if I'm less familiar with one... watch out!
  10. Today was a good day for my game room. I got the NES, SNES, N64 and GameCube hooked up to an RCA switch. On the flip side... I am so rusty and am sucking hard on the retro games.
  11. pretty limited market if youre talking mid 90s. There are a few mags that might generate some interest but most of them won't. I know... Seems like a shame to toss them though.
  12. Is there any interest in gaming mags from the mid-90s? EGM and other non Nintendo Power mags? I don't think there's any value, but if people collect them then let me know. I bought a collection to get the NP and am not keeping the rest. Probably not even worth shipping for the most part... :\
  13. Awesome pickup. I've always wanted to give River City Ransom a whirl. Never heard a bad thing about that game.
  14. Regarding the prototype carts... I am not a big time collector and that's out of my league whether I like them or not, but for me they don't interest me at all. Maybe if it was a unique experience with previous versions of the game or some sort of quirks... or as you said, some interesting label. At the end of the day though if you never opened the cart you could just pretend your regular copy without a label is the same as the prototype... who'd know really?
  15. Ok got it home today. This is what it looks like. I snagged it quickly and didn't really investigate it much... wider than I had remembered. The branding below each shelf are stickers, but there's a slot so I can feed in a piece of paper or cardboard or whatever else. The long ones flipped around and I can do the same. This is where the customization comes into play... I threw in some random stacks. This one will likely damage the books, so generally just fun stuff for the kids to snag if they want. It's not quite the width of 2 comics, which would be convenient... Oh well.
  16. No picture yet, but on Monday I will be picking up a spinner rack from a store that is closing and selling off all the merch, racks, displays, counters, etc. Anyone want a safe? Anyway, it's not a comic rack or even a magazine rack. It's a Rand McNally map display. Double sided, it's about a comic and a half in width, but there are dividers so I can partition it out a bit. Not one of the awesome vintage ones like the above pic and it's blue, but I will take it. I'll get pics up when I can. One thing I will look for some suggestions on is customizing it. There are decals for the map company and a cardboard insert that runs the height of it. I figure I can print up something and use that as the backing. The word "comics", images of superheroes, etc. You guys always have good suggestions, so I will be sure to get a pic up when I can!
  17. Huge Zelda fan. That said... the show was pretty awful. In a great sort of way. That is a very cool cel -- the animation wasn't annoying, just the dialogue! So wise to get a still.
  18. I never knew Capcom cross promoted with Saved by the Bell.
  19. Legendary Wings I have the first poster. Didn't that come with the system? Going to get a frame for it. I think it'll look good up. Did you make that case?
  20. Forgot to mention that. Yes, it's Yoshi's Island. I have a copy already, but for the price it's hard to leave it behind. Sell/trade and get more stuff! Conkers is for that purpose as well.
  21. Ok, so normally this kind of thing goes in the garage sales thread, but it works here too. Picked all this up today. Box only on the N64. Condition is not so hot, but they work. I have no awesome graded boxed games to show off. I'll leave the candy showing to Bronty!
  22. So basically there's Bronty and then there's the rest of us. That is a glimpse at one heck of a collection! Great stuff, feel free to post anything you want. Do you have other merchandise or store signage or the like? I am trying to get a Nintendo store sign -- one of those ~4 foot ones -- from a local guy, but it's been hard to meet up with him.
