  1. No cool comics today but found this 1987 Telco King Kong "motionette". Some issues but somewhat functions. Seem to be uncommon but definitely cool. [
  2. IMO saying he wants to sell to a collector is really him saying he wants someone who is willing to bite at a high price. Who else would? Keep in mind he cant say he wants a sap or rube.
  3. Picked up some books at a garage sale. Had a bunch more of similar timeframe. Mostly all DC. Wouldnt budge on price so just got these. Not quite up to dpeed on all these variants. Nothing crazy here
  4. Went to an estate sale after seeing a pic of a Amiga 2000. Sadly that was gone. But did see this and picked it up. Not sure what to do with it but i cohld not leave it. Its 15-18ft long cardboard standee. I assume from a theatre but i have not researched. Also picked up a Omni treadmill for VR. Not sure what to do with that either but couldn't pass.
  5. Great stuff and well told. To clarify from my post above... absolutely no criticism intended. Tbought you handled both well. Seller needs to do their work too. If someone asks and they dont get a straight reply then that's shady. But they throw a price your way? Pay it.
  6. I am outraged!!! Excellent job on your part to tip the cap rather than trying to snake his deal. Sounds like you could have easily outbid him on this day. I have seen plenty of times the one outside the deal tried to weasel in.
  7. Not comic related, but a nice PC game score. Some tabletop stuff mixed in as well. Fallout 1 & 2 were my favorite gets. Sealed Blood Rage kickstarter set was the priciest stuff.
  8. Let Go surprisingly. He sells books mainly on Amazon. Did some light research it seems but was only off on prixing for Maniac Mansion. He just wanted to move them. I think it came out to about $5 each roughly. He threw out a bundle price. Really happy with the buy.
  9. Not comics but a nice PC game lot. Many of these are sealed. Lots of Infocom titles which have great feelies inside.
  10. Agree. I thnk a move back or slowing would be natural given the recent boom. But classics and quality rares will hold value. The bulk of the forgettable or bad games might br another story imo. Kind of like keys i suppose.
  11. Have prices really been crashing? I havent seen that. I prefer original hardware and have a good average purchase price per unit and really nothing stupid pricey. Still though... dont want it devalued!
  12. Yeah they had some others that I considered but decided not to pick up. Then I'd just have to get them all... got the uncle one to sell. Regret passing on bride of frankenstein. Batman and dracula were overpriced. Superman had a bad paint job My boys love godzilla so this will be in there room.
  13. Estate sale today. Had stacks of silver. Only got one. Small stack priced at 25 each, another stack at 12 each and then 10 each for the rest. This one was in the 10 piles. TTA 41, JIM 90, some sups and bats, Adams supermans were the ones of note. Condition not good but happy to have everything it.
  14. Tragic for the estate but a great score for all present I'm sure It really is shocking. Was this a pro company or just the bereaved? This seems like such a huge disservice. Sad really.
  15. No kidding, major score for the resellers. That is a huge huge miss by the estate organizerservices who did a real disservice go their clients.
  16. Finally something interesting to post after a lot of empty searches. Still not comics but I am not complaining! Saw an ad on Craigslist for agarage sale listing some video games, toys and other items. In one pic I saw a few g1 and in the back, a little blurry, a large zip lock bag with at least a few GI Joe's in it. Bag weighs a bit over 3 lbs. Most of the rubber bands are toast so only half are still together. Have some work ahead of me. Really pleased to get some of these for the collection. I am heading out of town so I can't catalog but a couple snake eyes, cobra commander and others. No destro and only a few accessories. The bag was not out at first and i was first one there so i asked. The guys dad chimes in how it was inside since they looked one up on ebay and saw it had a few bids up to 35 bucks. Still... they brought it out and sold it. Altogether it was less than a buck each. At an estate sale I got these. They were not cheap but happy to have them. Two of the pamphlet ones are later printings. The rest are first. Likely overpaid or a least paid the going rate but when am I finding these locally?
  17. They asked for $2. I gave a five and said keep the change.
  18. Removing my original question. Anyone with a PS4 have some game recommendations? Several interest me, but I am not sure where to go next. I dont play a ton and like to dig into a game, one at a time. i am wrapping up Fallout 4. Witcher 3 interested me, but not sure another slog is right. Ditto MGS5. Uncharted 4 will be a day one buy. Any other quick bite games like that -- short, fun, straight forward?
  19. Updates on this one. Managed to sell the issue of Rap Pages on eBay for $200. Set it at an auction with that starting price. Did not get a ton of views or watchers, but one guy was messaging me all week and wound up bidding.
  20. Small haul, but some fun items. The Rap Pages is issue 1. Someone is asking (and not selling) $400 for it on eBay which seems absurd, but there are no other issues and no history (that I have found).
  21. The mm6 cart, Icarus box, g&g and perhaps tecmoS would be ones I need. Nice collection.
