  1. I think a lot of folk are put off by all the rules when it comes to rugby...I played at quite a decent level for a few years but never really knew all the rules The atmosphere is always good at the rugby...the opposing fans give you some banter and then buy you a pint in the pubs afterwards Saying that I'm tea total for the next few days
  2. Just got back from the home-land after the rugby... Need a new liver and pancreas but apart from that it's all gravy (thumbs u
  3. For a minute I thought your ebay handle was because you were a fan of reading books The penny has dropped and I'll get my coat...
  4. Yep send the list over when ready...It's not nice being sat here in damp pants
  5. I have never really considered this type of thing "worth" very much. Just considered it a collectible item for someone who likes McFarlane art. But who knows. Stick the sucker on ebay and we can all learn something. I was waiting for you to offer me $600 for it! I can only go to $550. Sorry. Guess I will look for the Liefeld portfolio instead. Here it is...any excue to post this cr@p
  6. Crypt of Shadows = All issues ND according to the UK Price Guide for 1997-98
  7. Are you going to list anything else in your selling thread? nope, no one really will bite at cheap comics, i am putting a database together though so if any of you lot where its cheaper to post are interested then i can quickly forward it over Sounds like a plan
  8. Only speaking for myself, its surprising how low you can go re: grade. If you buy a comic in GD condition, noting that all the edges will be more-than-likely rough .. having the books trimmed (you only lose 3/16" of an inch, folks) pushes the grade of that comic up several notches. Personally, there's nothing worse than ragged-edged comics I can remember saying that to an ex-girlfriend
  9. I think Gaz has covered things off quite nicely
  10. Yeah you've also got to take into account things like petrol, parking and food when looking at setting up at a show. On the plus side you often get to check out the other tables before it gets too busy and can sometimes stumble upon the odd bargain.
  11. eBay is still the best avenue for me to sell my collection and also to sell on the moderns that I read. Selling on the boards is difficult when your not an established name, I've sold CGC on here no problem but raw books that are only worth $1-10 doesn't really work out well because of the shipping cost involved. But if you want to give selling on the boards a shot I would suggest the following: 1. Nice clear scans of the book. 2. Price at half of guide. 3. Accurate grading, or at least drop half a grade. 4. For expensive books use the PGM forum for an average grade. Chris, that's very sensible and constructive advice...are you feeling alright
  12. I haven't sold through the board before but when I trawl through the for sale lstings you see alot of listings where the poster will only ship domestically (mainly US) so I suppose you could limit your sales to UK boardies only if you wanted? Did the Cardiff Comic Mart a few times many years ago but I haven't got the time or energy for that sort of thing now...even though I do need to clear some space Have you thought of using: eBid Cliff's Devil Woman "Hair Metal" Cover
  13. Haven't you go to show some love for another copper series no one read? Oi that's most of my collection you are talking about Bronze, not copper. I didn't even notice...
