  1. for years, I have said this is the most underpriced super key...folks it will continue to go up...
  2. they should of gone after the internet market when they had it, amazon and wal mart....took them out
  3. I agree that nothing lasts forever but folks, I believe toy division is another profit center. There are a heck of lot more people, new people reading and chatting about comic characters, now that there 2 R rated comic books hits in a row (Logan/Deadpool) the market will expand. GA/SA prices are gonna adjust over time I would advise buying comic book material at a "sane" price and not get hyped up to pay 8X guide on the difference between a 9.4 and 9.2 which you can barely tell the difference on.
  4. Hollywood will never be done with comic book movies, to much intrastructue and creative people involved. I think that is a bad assumption. new physical comic sales might break even if the digital sales take off, but comic book sales have been declining for 20 years and no end of the world doom situation has occurred, in fact comic book awareness has increased greatly. I think graphic novels will increase or take over, both hard copy an digital. As people retire, they could get more involved in the comic book world, now that they have more free time. Quality GA/SA will decline slowly over time and then pick up again, that has been the pattern of the market. Now, the million dollar sales, the 9.8 10X guide stuff...that is gonna tumble based of the simple law that nothing can go up forever and at some point "real value will take hold", I agree.
  5. good luck, great buy if you get it, little downside if you don't....
  6. Always a class act, fair prices and great value...see you in SDCC
  7. It is a shame some board members are "racially insensitive" to the possibility that there could be a culture clash with American Super hero's and ones beliefs. I am not advocating that superman wear a turbin in the Indian comic book editions. I am simply stating that some beliefs might differ from ours depending where you grew up and the structure of government which instills a moral code of what is right and proper for its members of society. While one might disagree with that moral code one must still respect not dismiss it just because you might be "above" that system or more modern in terms of which is right/wrong from a USA viewpoint. In that world, it is "reality"...right or wrong it exists and over time could hopefully change for the positive in terms of a USA viewpoint.
  8. but I thought a collector bought, rather than a straight consignment from the family?...different than billy wright?
  9. it not like Billy Wright...it was part of a existing collection...from what I understand, WW1 broke 141K
  10. this collection was bought by a comic book collector...Pristine did not fine them
  11. If you think that is great and if you are a Kirby Fan, coming in December from DC is the complete Fourth world by Jack Kirby its...get this 1,536 Pages of all of Jack's DC work in large Omnibus size (new gods, MM etc)...the price is insanely low at $115... If you are a marvel fan the complete Amazing Fantasy set 1-15 is a great buy especially if you like steve ditko from that era.
  12. next photo is him next to WW after he wins the e-bay on all-star 8.
  13. I agree it is a great time to get access to material which would take years to get. Two highly recommended purchases for GA/SA collector would be "Monsters" VoL 1 and just released Vo2 which completes the set . Every Kirby cover, story in chronological order...in jumbo Marvel Monsterbus size...the color and repo are amazing as well a great price on amazon. Second I am reading the Adam Strange Omnibus which is just outstanding in the large format. That is one advantage today....of the course the fun of the "hunt" is gone, but it is a great time to get the best comic book material ever created at affordable prices.
  14. not with the guy from London bidding...that is like 50bucks to him
  15. no just stating a fact..the % of persons in that early convention that were comic book fans far outnumber that attend the convention today. Yes there are some great things about the SDCC...but I believe each year the "silver age section" gets smaller and smaller. I proposed that the convention be broken off one media/game room and one comic book room and the original comic book dealers have a reduced charge and let the media companies pay a premium on the table rates. I really thing that Wonder Con has in way made up for the gap here, the % of comic book related booths are much higher at that convention in my opinion. But I would say...one factor is we did not have the internet and we really had to learn from the RBCC etc and mainly conventions what was gonna take place comic book wise in the future...especially kirby projects at SDCC since he was a great early attendee. Bigger does not mean better by any means. Different, yes.
