  1. classic cover and always tough to find, I would not let that one go...
  2. interesting they must have some connection to pristine comics...wow
  3. who are these people? where do they arrive at a price?
  4. There is a new GA Player in town, called Hollywoodmemorabila.com . Go to the departments and click on COMICS and they have cap 10 at 127 K, Cap 12 at 91K and lot of CGC GA. interesting is if you click off and go back, it lowers the price a little..try it might just be me...strange.....a lot of great books here, but the PRICE...what do you think?
  5. They appear to be all part of the big book, but the 3 volumes for under 20 bucks each are more manageable to read and take with you. I have a second recommendation.......I should receive it by Dec 18, and again it is a mind blowing deal.....From amazon..91 bucks, free shipping if you can wait a couple of extra days, and use your rebate credit card to save 1-1.5%...."FORTH WORLD JACK KIRBY OMNIBUS....HARDCOVER...get this 1,538 pages...over 9 pounds of comic book bliss...I really like the way they color and page quality of these DC editions...they are first rate....again less than 1 cent per page...mind blowing
  6. agreed, if anybody knows somebody who has one, not on the boards...well its time to make a move.
  7. NO, except for the very top paintings, such as "hands off my playthings"..the very top ones should go in the comic auction
  8. With BP the carl barks painting at Ha's animation art tomorrow is at 59K with bp....could hit 70K
  9. 5 years or less depending on how the Marvel movies do...and what happens to CAP
  10. No, cap 1 is underpriced and will surpass all except A1/D27.
  11. still time to get this book, not 5 years from now...especially if you know somebody that owns one before these sales hit GPA
  12. Kirby Coffer, the radio station owner, was the name you were looking for, there is an outstanding painting coming up on HA.com, animation art auction this month, it is a portrait painting of all the ducks, I think that should go for about 60-70 similar to the golden helmet which just sold on Ha.com. His work is inconsistent , but the really great stuff is amazing and I agree with Gene the comic book pages have come up in value primarily because not the greatest paintings has come on the market, like the Coffer collection.
  13. over the years on this forum...I suggested time and time again that Cap 1 is the best GA key buy..folks it still is....
  14. Bidding at $26,750...with a day to go...great price for a great piece.
  15. At the time, this book which I bought, blew me away and exposed me to material that I had never seen and began to appreciate. There are some interesting month by month cover threads for 1939..so the same approach, that start from the beginning and go from there. It will most likely be on the internet rather than print form. Interesting back story on how Gerber got the money to publish it.
  16. If anybody else picks this up, let me know your thoughts, no postage or shipping charges either, and a further discount is you use your citibank card as well of 1%. Best bang for the buck out there.
