  1. This is the highest graded copy of any of the three Jetta issues. Another boardie and I are debating the likelihood that any high-grade copies of any of the issues exist. Anyone ever seen one? one of my all time favorite comic books, there is a photo of a cover to the issue that was never produced or survived ...it is in the jetta book....super condition, cong...the lost 4th issue..any chances the art for that issue is around?
  2. Well, to all you old farts out there.......if you didn't like Bats vs. Supes, do you think it's safe to give Riverdale a try? Certainly doesn't seem like the good old Archie that we all know from the past 70+ years. Archie apparently having an affair with Miss Grundy is starting to sound like Gwen Stacy with Norman Osborne here. Apparently, she doesn't look like our Miss Grundy at all. Seriously though, the show is apparently not too bad and draws you in almost immediately with a completely different take on Archie. Much more closer to Afterlife with Archie as opposed to the Archie we are all so used to. Haven't watch it yet myself since it's been recorded on my PVR, awaiting your reviews first. Is zach directing that...if so the show had better have a budget of 300 million per episode ...
  3. Folks let be real..lets call a dog a dog when it really was..you have factor in the "unlimited checkbook" to see the true level of incompetence.....Folks Mr bedrock could have made a better movie with only 100 million, David at 50 mil....this was the BIGGEST WASTE OF 275 MILLIONS DOLLARS PLUS MARKETING COSTS ETC. ever in the history of motion pictures. For what...really Zack is a Sad Sack and folks...I respect and like "heaven gate" which I own a copy of the blue ray directors cut .... and heck "Gator" could have been a better Luthor.
  4. Agreed.....plus I love any movie with Batman in it.....he is by far my favorite superhero of all time!! Glad to see I'm not the only one that got enjoyment out of it. It seems like the expectations are a bit high for what makes a fun superhero movie. Growing up in the 70s and 80s, a movie like this would have been really, really special. Especially compared to the 1990 Captain America movie! Low bar, I know, but this wasn't really that bad, IMHO. you cannot compare them....here the budget was unlimited so to speak and the product was by rotten tomatoes 27%...for money the worst movie ever made of course this is one of the most expensive if movies ever made at an admitted 275 million dollars..for what no Brando, Hackman, and Reeve and heck I am taking about a film back in the day 40 or more years old. Zack is hack at 275 million and the greatest miscast in the history of superman villains and at 275 million they could have had ANYBODY in the business.
  5. Interesting latest newsletter claims that he has over 411,000 unique items on website, with his recent purchases including people coming in the store selling collections..see photos he claims his unique items went up from 330,000 after this recent buying spree, he claims also that he is going for 500,000 unique items by the end of the year......if dealers and collectors keep selling at 5 cents on the dollar, I have no doubt he is gonna get there.

  15. Kevin smith visited chuck's place...the video is super funny...you can link it on chucks newest newsletter...Kevin is a big fan of chucks...he claims his coimc books are worth $100,000,000 dollars for his 10 million comic books he has in stock and he also claims to have sold over 200 million dollars worth of books over the years, as well as he could sell his building for 4 million dollars , or 40K per month rent and he can drink Mint Tulips...I am not kidding you have to see this video...the funniest part is when he tells Kevin he likes to " run his fingers on his graphic novel stock"...again I am not kidding, he gets Kevin to try it too......I really dont know what means...
  16. Howard helped establish that comic books were valuable early on in the early days of comic book collecting.. but he was always the highest when it came to prices.
  17. Has 10 million comics at store and 2 million in storage and is going on a million comic buying spree....at some point he is gonna gonna have to have a 30% off of the 30% off of the 40% off the entire website
  18. Just for your info...FF2 in VG is bargain priced at $1,407.00 and Tales to astonish #27 in Good is $1,560.00.. both Chuck graded not CGC...any idea at how he got those prices? his cost was about 5 cent to 10 cents each according to him and came from "long boxes" purchases.
  19. He said he did and provided pictures...?which New York dealers is he buying out in Jan?
  20. Today he was bragging about his finding FF2 and TTA 27 among the boxes he is sorting...he has 300 long boxes to sort thru.....in his latest newsletter...where are these people who want to "giveaway' so much material so cheap? Better yet who are these "dealers" who are going under?
  21. Not really. He is buying 100's of thousands of comics for 5- to 10 cents on the dollar.....and according to his newsletter he has to postpone his "east coast" buying trip for a couple of weeks...to get even MORE We are all so very impressed by this................ NOOOOOOOT X-Men 1 '92? no its the 63 real issue #1 in VG you can click on some of the pictures and blow them up...he is getting some pretty good stuff for $25 to 50 bucks a box....
  22. Not really. He is buying 100's of thousands of comics for 5- to 10 cents on the dollar.....and according to his newsletter he has to postpone his "east coast" buying trip for a couple of weeks...to get even MORE
  23. Chuck has bought another large collection according to nov 23 newsletter.. he outbid a local dealer who bid $20 a box... there was at least 120 long boxs including x-men 1 and other books inside of themm according to photos on that post... amazing how he finds those kind of deals...
  24. Chuck maybe believes that the "cheap" will retain their value over the long run...I just cannot understand the business model chuck is using..which is to acquire as much material for a super low cost and get more and more of it. Chuck is in business to and he says he does not want to make money but get more comic books.....so he is going headfirst with Bulk vs quality ...it might be because he does not have the funds of the Big Boys when it comes time to lay down the money for Action 1 etc like CC. Just in the back of my mind, I know chuck has an endgame plan...just don't know what it is...
