  1. I take it back, Adams ,Thomas and Trimpe announced! Cool. Just imagine if you had a load of Captain Britain stuff pre signed by Chris Claremont, it would be cool to get it signed by Trimpe as well Thomas and Adams as well, very cool guys, well done, can't wait.
  2. You have to hand it to Kate, it's pretty impossible to get a bad pic of Her The French must be gutted that she's so hot, they seem to think they have the monopoly on sophisticated totty. ( I wonder if I could make that sentence any less pc ? ) Btw Bane, does this mean I'm next? Oh and Imran and he who cannot be named need to get their website updated asap
  3. that's very interesting..... Noob
  4. I actually like the pencils on their own. That would look awesome on a blank just as it is without the title, character box thingy etc.
  5. The Who Talking of great music on TV, there was a great documentary on the Undertones on BBC4 last night, followed by a punk at the Beeb compilation clip show. fantastic! Scary how many of those guys have already passed away. RIP Poly Styrene, she had something about her that I can't put my finger on, but every time I see a clip or hear her voice I remember how great she was. Germfree Adolescents
  6. My two boys are 3 and 7 and they've both got the comic bug big time. I am looking forward to having a hobby in common with them. My wife on the other hand is starting to feel a little outnumbered.
  7. What the hell is going on there I was being questioned as to whether there were any surviving chicken wings underneath the remains of the rest so I took it upon myself to prove a 100% kill rate. I have to ask... Was that one portion of wings? It was and it was only a starter to begin with I ordered a half portion but had a full one like this delivered and shared mine out as It was way to much. Garry simply liked the BBQ of all of his and left the meat Don't forget guys, that a handful of chicken is nothing to Garry, he's normally up to his elbow in cow
  8. I sell them for $29.95 all day long. They are really not worth much. By the way, if you get the wrong buyer who does not know how to clean the system and games; expect returns. I tend to avoid NES systems altogether and just focus on the games. I part out the systems to other dealers and still make the same amount of money usually. Kind Regards, 'mint' PS: I am a video game dealer on eBay and beyond! I actually learned a little trick just a couple of weeks ago. If you pop a game in and get the infamous blue screen, wiggle the game towards you so that the top of the cartridge is butted against the inside front of the console. Hit the reset button and voila the game works just fine. (thumbs u I don't know if you know who I am but I am a major video game dealer and have been collecting for decades. I appreciate the advice, but my point was simply to get the original poster to understand that selling these on ebay does come with a lot of risks. I sell mine as is; and normally like to sell to other dealers (who will put a new 72-pin connector in them and then resell them) or enthusiasts who know what they are doing. Nothing against you, but I do about $4,000 in sales in video game sales alone (in a good month; not every month). I also specialize in the ultra rare stuff. I sold two copies of NES World Championship Gold cartrdiges in the last three to five years and two copies of Stadium Events as well. Right now I just sold off a massive amount of RARE Sega Saturn games and Atari 2600 games I won at auction. If you are looking for games, let me know. Kind Regards, 'mint' How dare you tell me how to blow into a NES cartridge and wiggle it to make it work! Ive been on the cover of Time, Newsweek, and People! Hell , I sold the President his Xbox! DONT YOU KNOW WHO I AM??!!! I really mean no offense MINT, I just couldnt help myself. Yeah, Mint is a great contributor here and extremely knowledgeable, but the second anyone says anything even in the ballpark of; 'don't you know who I am?' they deserve a pretty swift :baiting:followed by a
  9. Yeah, all the usual suspects plus Harley. I forgot to mention, while we were setting up, there were two old guys perving over a Manara hardcover we had, a couple of minutes later they were gone and so was the book. Shoplifting scumbags!
  10. We set up there today and did pretty well. We did notice that a few customers we would expect to see were missing. It was very busy early on, but then died right down after about 2 hours. We sold a lot of hardcovers and Modern variant covers. We also took a nice run of 2000AD's which sold like hot cakes. Definitely worth doing, but I dislike the DVD element too.
  11. He's got a brand new combine harvester, and he'll give you the key.
  12. Looks like a fine time was had by all. Just got back from the London mart, where I had the pleasure of meeting DeanoKeano for the first time, and a damn fine chap he is too. There was also a strange haunted looking gent of Greek extraction, wandering the halls muttering something about a strange creature known as a Steveditko, whatever that is.
  13. Seems fishy to me, personally cancel the sale, relist and block the buyer from bidding. This is excellent advice. If you sell to this buyer, you are asking for a world of butt hurt. Don't give him the chance to hit you with a chargeback and/ or a neg.
  14. We will be set up. I think we've got about four tables in one area, and another couple elsewhere in the hall. Stop by and ask for Phil. (thumbs u
  15. I know they have a bad rep on here. I have ordered from them three or four times and have been happy. I haven't bought particularly high grade books from him though. Customer service is good in my experience.
  16. I had a day like that yesterday. I feel your pain.
  17. I actually remember watching it at the time. I were only a nipper though honest.
  18. My two love Superhero Squad, Avengers and Batman B&B. The trouble starts when the older one wants CBBC and the young 'un wants Cbeebies
  19. Ah, ok, we'll have to start calling you Dorian then
  20. I doubt anyone here would be offended by that minor mix-up.... Yep, the Teds are the original youth subculture in Britain, taking their name from Edward VIIth, whose style of dress they adopted (and also because the second hand stores in 1950s London had a surfeit of such turn of the century clothing, and it was cheap!). There may have been antecedents in the late Victorian era of gangs having an alternative style of dress and tribal markings, but the Teddy Boys are the ones that everyone remembers, as they arrived at the exact point when rock 'n' roll, the music they immediately made their own, arrived. They had a major resurgence in the 1970s and lasted well into the 1980s, but to spot one these days on the streets of London would be extremely unusual. I haven't seen one in London for at least 20 years...they've all gotten old and lost their quiffs. Rockabillies are never seen either. You may see a few Ted throwbacks in Southend (a timewarped Essex seaside resort, 60 miles east of London) though. Goldie knows this stuff because he was there. He has a Lazarus Pit in the cellars of his ancestral pile in Lestercesterwoostershire and is actually 4,000 years old. The only hole in his story is that no one believes for a second that he has ever set foot in Southend.
  21. I wish you well with the move. And don't forget to post those comic room pics. (thumbs u
  22. Ohhh My God!!! I know right it is the one of the most freaking hilarious things I have ever seen.. The funny thing is, that under normal circumstances, the Greggy/Galactus would be justifiably getting all the comments, but this one is so damn good it's hard to see how it'll be bettered. Great stuff, keep 'em coming.
