  1. Waylander, I seem to have missed your news, are you heading stateside to live? Sounds exciting!
  2. Sweet comic! I agree,he's great to deal with and a super nice guy! I keep meaning to pick up a few of those. Very underrated and therefore reasonably affordable. That's a nice 4.5.
  3. Ahhh, so this is how you have managed to overtake me.
  4. I love Brooker, although that 10' o clock show he was on with Carr and Mitchell was godawful. I've recorded this. Looks quite Naked Gunnish from the clips.
  5. Me want! Wow. I love those Frazetta Famous Funnies. The cross hatching on that cover is incredible! Wow, what with this book, the ' Tec 1 and AF15 you guys are knocking it out of the park. Nice work one and all.
  6. This is my goal, I WILL BE THERE! You better be pal, I heard you were buying all the beer.
  7. I'm off to Spain for a week tomorrow and I have; Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy by Le Carre and Dickens: A Life by Claire Tomalin lined up.
  8. Seriously mate, good luck. It's great to have a plan and I wish you every success.
  9. My vote goes to ; reedin, rittin 'n rifmatic.
  10. I know two people who have done OU degrees. One had a building firm and did an advanced construction degree, the other did a teaching qualification. Again, nothing but good stuff to say about it. OU is a great British institution IMHO.
  11. Get off my lawn with your Oasis records! Never liked Oasis mate. Then there is hope for you my son.
  12. Get off my lawn with your Oasis records!
  13. Guys, I would heartily recommend seeing the current incarnation of Simple Minds live if you get the chance. The recent 5x5 tour had them playing 5 songs from each of their first 5 albums, including some real rarities like; This Fear of Gods, Room and 70 Cities as Love Brings The Fall. They have gone back to the original arrangements and even use retro lighting. It's absolutely stunning. I went with a couple of sceptical friends, who were blown away. I don't mind U2, but the Minds always had more going on musically, lyrically and artistically. I read an interview with Brian Eno recently where he said that the brief from U2 for the Unforgettable Fire was; " to sound like New Gold Dream."
  14. The last time I was a serious footie fan, almost the entire Arsenal team was Irish (or Northern Irish); Jennings, Rice, Stapleton, O'Leary, Devine, Brady, etc.
  15. Witty, concise and devastating. Bravo sir!
  16. Yeah, tack is the right word. Why is it whenever we talk about Britain, we always jump on the same hackneyed Carnaby Street/Britpop bandwagon? And who has Annie Lennox ? She hasn't had a record out in eons but is always up for a Brit award or wheeled out for these events. Oh , its Brian in May now!
  17. Moss, Campbell, Michael shouldn't be allowed near all those athletes, none of them will ever pass a doping test after being in the vicinity of those three. Elbow were good and I thought that Kaiser Chiefs were surprisingly good doing Pinball Wizard. Other than that Hang on though, here's Eric Idle to save the day.
  18. I've no prior knowledge, but I'm guessing that they will have at least a couple of very heavy hitters as guests, as they will want to try and at least be in the same ballpark as having Stan. My money is on Neal Adams and wouldn't be surprised to see Kirkman & Adlard either. This Is just speculation, so who would you guys like to see?
  19. Hey Chris Whenever you get a gap in your schedule, I would absolutely love an Uncanny X MEN 133, my all time favorite cover bar none.
  20. That is definitely the best yet, I thought you'd bought the O/A when I first looked at it, nice one!
  21. We have booked a four table booth for this show.
