  1. So, basically, with Premium, for the applicable year, (i) you get the right to submit and (ii) you get your $149 membership fee refunded as long as you submit. With Associate, for the applicable year, (i) you get the ribht to submit, but (ii) your $25 membership fee is not refunded in any way.
  2. Last night's $15.6K hammer price on the 7.0 OW is even more remarkable given that there is an active BIN listing on Ebay for a 7.0 C/OW for a full $5K less.
  3. Actually, under the Currency and Foreign Transactions Report Act (aka the Bank Secrecy Act). The $10K reporting threshold has been in place since 1970.
  4. You are correct that it's exempt, but that's not what I'm getting at. My point is that the fisc has to be replenished one way or another. Not sure if you're referring to me, but if you are, I'm simply stating that nothing free is ever truly free.
  5. But, but ... weren't those 2020 and 2021 federal stimulus checks free money?
  6. Plus, JIMs have that smell, you know, that vintage smell to them.
  7. I know that Stan and Jack tried hard to make him seem cool and groovy, but before he became Bucky, he was annoying. Rick was also annoying in those Marvel TV cartoons from the 1960s. He only became useful, and thus interesting, when he became fake Bucky for several issues in the late Silver Age.
  8. Hah. Small world. I set at the time I bought it a GPA high for an ASM 15 8.0, about 7 years ago. So I broke your then-chart-buster. At the time, i thought it was nuts, and that it would take years to show equity in the book. Now i regret not buying a 9.0 or higher of that book.
  9. The person getting the GSX1 and FF48 come out winning by a lot, especially long term. If the GSX1 and FF48 are yours, and you really want the SC22, ask for cash to be thrown in with the SC22.
  10. Lou, you manned up twice, not just in executing the purchase back in May, but in sharing with the community your thought process on the big purchase. In 10 years you will have another healthy ROI, because the MCU is going to be doing the same thing into the 2030s. That's the beauty of being collector-investors in this hobby (who are in it for the long term), and not investor-speculators or outright speculators (who are in it often for a year or less (frequently much less)).
  11. Worse. The wife of one of the two called them to take out the garbarge Sunday night. The ultimate distraction.
  12. This was my 2021 in summary and that is my 2022 goal. Discipline.
  13. Yes, but generations of comic book fans have repeated enough over the last 35 years that Ned Leeds is the Hobgoblin, and thus he is. And Mikey did choke to death on Pop Rocks.
  14. That's what a lot of us 40+ guys on these Boards -- that aren't watching YouTubers and IG'ers -- aren't realizing. There are a ton of younger collectors that have swarmed to the hobby these last few years, with an acceleration of new buyers during the Pandemic. Many are speculators, sure, but many are not -- they really are smitten with collecting old comic books. They truly love what these Marvel Studios films have given to their generation. Price plateuing, some corrections here and there, will happen for sure. But long-term growth on quality, desirable, vintage material will only continue going up this decade, and into the 2030s.
