  1. Just over a week away.... Here is a link with details for anyone interested in going..... https://midwesttoyfest.com/
  2. He definitely knew 3 of the 4 as price variants....truthfully if they had not been priced up I would have probably not even noticed them....
  3. Here is a link with info... http://gemcitycomiccon.com/c4-info/ I'll be there with several tables of new stuff....lots of $1, $5 and $10 boxes as well as new backboard books. If you are in the area stop by...it's a great one day show.....
  4. Thx! I bought them in a collection and those were the prices that were on them....Ended up I paid around 50 cents each for the comics in the collection so pretty happy with that especially since this was really a no drek collection.....
  5. Have had many, many 30 cent variants through the years but never a 35 cent (That I know of). That changed when I bought a collection a few weeks ago that had these.... First convention l went to.....all gone just like that....the demand for these is just amazing.
  6. Lol....a new pic in a day or so then. My wife as been helping me sort and organize...she is awesome! A few cool finds....
  7. This story was really creepy as a youngster.....from Tower of Shadows 1. Steranko at his best!
  8. Ebay is not my favorite venue but I will probably do some listing there soon.... And to be fair I bought 80+ boxes one weekend and then 60+ more about a week later....now all of the toys in a little over another week. I figure that at this rate in a month or so I'll need to buy another house to store everything in....
  9. Comics, magazines, toys....yeah we sell them all. Go to between 15-20 shows a year on average....depending on the year. Always picking up stuff when I can.... Getting to process everything however can be problematic due to having to work full time....I'll come home from work and work another 5-6 hours every day this week....
  10. Lol...nope I packed it that way (hardly call that packing).....not really many boxes available...literally was taking them off the hooks on the walls and tossing them in the van. Well, I did start with stacks first but ran out of room so then just started tossing them in....
  11. Spent all day today looking at comics, toys and misc stuff....what my purchase looked like from the front and back of the Transit....and this is after I had taken out several boxes of stuff! It has been a busy 2-3 weeks....
  12. Went to an auction today.....nothing spectacular but came away with these at a 50 cent each average.... Interesting that the Cap 6 & 14 are still in the orginal mailing plastic from the guy's subscription....never took them out to read....far cry from the old days when they mailed them folded in half!
  13. Nice comics are still out there....just takes some leg work to find them.... Over Labor Day I helped my wife set up at an outdoor festival. She makes pottery but needed someone else to help watch the booth....so I took some cheap toys/comics to sell as well. In talking to people throughout the weekend was able to get a couple leads on collections and both came to fruition over the past couple weeks! Now 150 or so boxes later I am a busy (well, busier) man! Pic from right after loading up the second deal....
  14. Farmers Insurance commercial jingle....J.K. is the spokesperson for them....
  15. In their Sunday meetings they are very transparent on what they are attempting to do business wise. They are open to suggestions from artists and dealers on what improvements they can make so that Wizard shows the best they can be. They have stated in these meetings that they realize that comic retailers are necessary for a complete convention experience and they are committed to doing their best to have a variety of comic dealers at their shows. Time will tell....they have been around 25 years or so.....my money is on them being around several more.
  16. Sounds reasonable! Wizard Columbus is a shadow of it's former self. If one were going for just comics...maybe not the show to attend (although they sold well for me). Chicago on the other hand....still has plenty of competition for comics and related material....maybe not like 10 years ago but unless one's collecting habits are extremely narrow I can't imagine walking away from this weekend without a great haul! In the very little time I had to walk around (booth comes first!) I still bought more than I should have! I don't see a shift from that anytime soon.....at least for the type of stuff I like to purchase....
