  1. I know you can't tell everything from a scan, But your newest Fear #6 looks like the keeper to me. The centering is pretty decent and everything about it looks better to me. Or when in doubt, keep both copies.
  2. More killer books, Paul. The Astonishing Tales #14 is an incredibly tough book in high grade. And how many copies of Fear #6 do you own?!
  3. Thanks Barton, it was purchased in Calgary I still have a few dozen PF books I picked up there I have not submitted yet. Some were nicer than this book. Scans! Scans! Scans!
  4. Beautiful book, Joe. Looks very worthy of the grade and it presents really well too.
  5. That book is gorgeous. I don't know if it's $5019 kind of gorgeous. But I can't remember seeing a nicer copy.
  6. That's ok, Paul. I don't think CGC would grade it any higher than an 8.0 ow-w.
  7. Please set this to neutral. Your scans are waaaaaaaaaaay too dark. Here it is with white point set at 0%. It looks like mud now. And it doesn't look like this in hand.
  8. VueScan definitely works with Sierra. And El Capitan. I trust the members of this forum. I spent the money and bought vuescan. I have access to my scanner but have to learn how to get the most out of vuescan to maximize my scanning. If anyone has any suggestions I am all years. These are the settings I've been using: And samples:
  9. VueScan definitely works with Sierra. And El Capitan.
  10. VueScan is absolutely worth the $89.95. I've been using it for years and never had any problems, even with all the Mac OS updates over the years. Before I bought it, I used Microtek's software which they rarely updated and eventually stopped supporting entirely.
  11. VueScan should take care of the problems ... although I see now that I'm still using El Capitan, so maybe not. But the VueScan guy seems to be on top of updating the software, so I would guess he will do so soon to make it compatible with Sierra if he hasn't already. VueScan worked fine for me with Sierra. And no problems with El Capitan either. It's kind of amazing how often VueScan is updated. It seems like it's at least once a month.
  12. I can't speak to Dan's eBay's practices but I bought a ton of books from him in the pre-CGC days. He managed to acquire some amazing books and collections like the WInnipegs and Golden States. He was easy to deal with and returns were no problem.
  13. I was kind of underwhelmed. I thought it felt kind of rushed. Cumberbatch was fine but I didn't feel like his transformation from heel to hero packed much wallop or emotion. Tilda Swinton was very good. Marvel still needs to develop villains better. I saw it in 3D and I wish I hadn't. The Cloak of Levitation should be signed to a five picture deal.
  14. Yeah, I don't what I was thinking with selling that book. I gave up on photobucket long ago ago. I've been using imageshack for a few years. It's pretty decent but it messes with images a bit, especially when I don't post the scans at full size. They lose some sharpness and contrast gets tweaked. So like Greg pointed out, I've been experimenting with flickr lately. On the whole, I'm liking it a lot. But there are one or two things I don't like or haven't figured out yet.
  15. Wasn't there just one issue for Tex Dawson in his own title - #1? I believe he has those under Gunslinger 1-3. The first one was called 'Te Dawson, Gunslinger." They had some great covers. (I sold these off, unfortunately.)
  16. Thanks, gentlemen. And I think these are the last of my Rawhide Kids:
