  1. And as much as I would like to see Jackman pop up, there can also be more 'X-Men' realities than the 20th Century Fox, X-Men reality. There can be a Wolverine from even another dimension. Evan Peters joining the MCU though is an excellent indicator to fans that NOTHING is off the table though. I also give a LOT of credit to Marvel for realizing that Fox' casting of Evan Peter as Quicksilver along with their iteration of the character was actually a stroke of genius. Marvel sucked it up and said, "Let's go for it" instead of redeveloping the character. I am also glad that Peters signed on with Disney. However, I am going to also admit that I am holding out a glimmer of hope for Hugh Jackman to appear somehow even if it is as a gray haired older Wolverine from a third dimension outside of the Fox movie universe. BTW... I assumed that this would eventually happen but I figured it would be through a Deadpool movie so I my jaw did drop when I saw Quicksilver on Wandavision.
  2. Sometimes that works out and sometimes it does not. When I have sold an item I have noticed that in certain cases it's actually cheaper to send things separately than to combine the shipping due to the size of the items. If you have ever ordered art through Comiclink then take a good look at that box. That box JUST falls into the regular size package size. If you go a little bit taller or a little bit longer or a little bit wider in any direction it pushes that box into the 'oversize' package category with USPS. So when I sold a large Lego set over the summer I had to explain that the large lego set and the smaller box would not fit into the regular size box and a larger box would be used which would then push it into the oversize category. It took a bit of explaining but I saved the buyer a decent chunk of change given the distance. The smaller set shipped first class. The larger shipped regular priority. However, I have to ask when I am buying since that incident where when I asked the seller if they combined shipping, they replied that they did. And they just added it all up and charged me 3x the amount in one invoice. They said that was their example of combining. I walked away and took the eBay hit on principle alone.
  3. @BlowUpTheMoon - This happened while I was shopping for the game... List price was $250 - Original retail was at $200 but it is out of print and cannot be purchased anymore.
  4. Okay.... so I will ask... and I will readily admit that I am too lazy to go back a few pages to see if this is asked so... if it has... forgive me... When her x-rays don’t show up and the blood sample is a little off... is that because of being in the Wanda-verse or is that a side effect from being blipped - or is she a skrull or is it because she is going to become Ms Marvel?
  5. at the look on their faces... One is looking at you with a, "you mother blanker ... I'm gonna get out of this cage and then Im gonna..." The other has a relaxed look on his face with an expression that says, "soon".
  6. If I had a fair chance I would have interfered with the rabbit. The rabbit had started to become accustomed to me being there so during the summer if I was grilling it would come out from behind the garage and check out what was going on. I really liked the rabbits... It was like Tony Soprano watching the ducks. I also have to say, I love it when the ducks take a walk down the block. We have squirrels all over the place though and are so common that you stop noticing them. I think my wake up call - come to Jesus moment was when I moved in here and was in my driveway when a dead mouse fell from the sky. I had a WTF moment right then and there. At this point though nothing really phases me.
  7. Tell you what... by next Friday if some of this snow lets up, I will leave out a small cup of unsalted, in the shell peanuts. I am willing to bet that they go after the neighbor's garbage. They have gotten so adept at claiming their twice a week meal that I have watched them get together to push the pail over to knock it down and then they feast. It's worse in the summer time because then we get the seagulls swarming in for leftovers.
  8. Possum and bunny rabbits and ducks and hawks. The possum will hiss at worst. The ducks are absolute fun as they will take a stroll through the neighborhood in the spring time. Like... for real... They will just take a walk down the block with their mate. The bunny rabbits are adorable. Last summer I kind of adopted one and had no problem letting him eat out of my garden. It was nice to see him walk over and take a few things as I would look out the office window. I would even leave a few things out there that I was not growing but would pick up at the store. The hawks killed my bunny rabbit and ripped his face off. The rabbit is now buried at the side of the garage. The hawks have been known to go after small dogs and cats too. This is a pic taken from my mom's backyard a few blocks away earlier this week.
  9. The neighbor's garbage. They don't believe in lids.
  10. I live two blocks away from the preserve. I see enough raccoons.
  11. I'm serious. It's this little yellow bird no bigger than a hand and it will just suddenly land on her head or shoulder and then just sit there for the rest of the meeting.
  12. Has it really been fifteen years for you?
  13. I've seen the back pages for ants, sea monkeys, and sea horses. I have never seen offers for dogs and cats. I am not disputing you either. It was a different time so I totally believe it. I personally have never seen it. Part of me would like an ad and would mail it to the address to see if the offer still stands
  14. There is one zoom meeting that I am in during the week where the participant has parakeets. I am completely enchanted by these parakeets. She lets them hop and fly around the apartment and they wills sometimes land on her head or shoulder and just watch the screen. They do not become a nuisance to the meeting but are completely fascinating how tame they are. They just like to sit there and watch.
  15. Which one of you had a relative that got a canary through the mail?
  16. They are turtles... go green. I believe it is problematic that CGC puts unverified signatures in a green label which visually treats it the same as a book with a missing centerfold or a married cover or a page missing. The saving grace here is that CGC will say, "name written on the cover in marker" which differentiates it from, "Page 21 missing - does not affect story". So... go green. Think of it as if you had Kirby sign the 1st page splash of a book before CGC SS came into existence. BTW - what's my solution to this? Obviously the books should not be 'verified' and put in a yellow label. We see the problems that causes. Maybe it's time for a new color label for unverified signatures... maybe LIME GREEN !
  17. He ignored my instagram private message that I sent two months ago and then made his IG account private. I don't think he is coming back here anytime soon.
  18. So, this week I have been scanning all of my slabs and uploading them to the registry. I have also been doing a strong accounting of the registry and adding things I forgot to add and deleting things that I have since sold or CPR'd. The two have been evening themselves out. However, I keep coming across certain gems that I forgot I owned. Here is an example.... Scanning next, all of my yellow label books.
  19. Oh yeah, I have a journal... So...
  20. Yup - some books It doesn't matter to me, but for iconic covers and important books, I want it to look as nice as possible, especially as everything could be +/- .2 on any given day. I was the same way with ASM 100. (Side note, I am undergoing the arduous task of scanning all of my slabs... all of them - knocked out Golden Age so far.)
  21. For me, it honestly depends on the book. It took me a long time to find a copy of ASM 129 that I liked. I think I had this conversation in a thread with @THE_BEYONDER... At the end of the day I took a 9.4 over a 9.6 due to a nicely centered cover. This is my 9.4. Compare it to a 9.6 with the white back cover peeking around. I know it was common for bronze age books but for an iconic cover I wanted something that presented well and not going higher by a .2 at the time was irrelevant.
  22. Side note... the guy sent a photocopy of his official government picture ID front and center on the parcel and numbers. Ehhh... that's going in the shredder.
  23. Sooo.... it arrived today... As some of you know I like picking up Marvel Indiana Jones Art... don't really care about the artist, it just has to force a dah-dah-dah-dahhhhh song in my head when I look at it. Boulder page? Had to get it. Kicking the statue down as Indy and Marion escape the Well of Souls? Definite pickup. So after getting those... I kind of pick up a page or two if it speaks to me. If I ever stumble across the last page of an issue, I make an offer... if it works out? cool... if it doesn't? Then there is always something else. So far I have the final page from three issues. Issue 19 Page 30 just made its way to New York. Pictured are the other two last pages that I own. Boulder page is framed and on the wall... and the Well of Souls page is in the binder with a few others that are available to see in my CAF.
