  1. I had announced this in the Heritage thread when I won it, however it arrived today so I guess it is 'officially' mine. This is a page from the very first Indiana Jones comic, Raiders of the Lost Ark #1. The comic book movie adaptation was originally printed as Marvel Super Special 18 and later reprinted as Raiders of the Lost Ark 1-3. While I already had a page from the original series as well as a couple of pages from Marvel's continuation title, The Further Adventures of Indiana Jones, this was my grail piece of Indiana Jones art. This is the infamous running from the boulder scene which is arguably the most identifiable moment of the franchise. When it came up for auction on Heritage, I knew I would be a strong contender for it. This is in the black hole collection and once my house is finished, it will be framed and put on the wall.
  2. I see many of these at shows: https://www.amazon.com/BCW-Supplies-Stor-Folio-Comic-Comics/dp/B002AT8QKU/ref=pd_lpo_229_bs_lp_t_2?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=4VMJN60A9VQSDQK7KMRY
  3. Whoa whoa whoa whoa.... "purchase"? Good to know though... I was hoping to see the "right" one before I go out to see the sequel.
  4. That's what I was leaning toward but... I was hoping to find some type of official confirmation.
  5. If people are uncomfortable with using the boards they will not use them. The more people use the boards the more they will become used to using them. It will take some time but either there will be some new blood where this version of the boards is all they know or the older users will acclimate themselves to navigating through the boards.
  6. @Bosco685 To that I am familiar. I am wondering though which version Ridley Scott is making a sequel to.
  7. There should be a 'want to leave a negative guide." Personally I always give a seller the opportunity to fix the problem. Negatives are left when they do not respond at all and blow me off. It is one thing to encounter a seller that never has a problem. To me they are just lucky since there are so many things that can go wrong in the shipping process that is outside of the seller's control. It is how the seller addresses those issues that I pay attention to.
  8. There are several versions of the original movie out there... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Versions_of_Blade_Runner Which is the accepted version according to Scott that should be seen before watching Blade Runner 2049?
  9. That is a very nice looking 4.0. Congratulations.
  10. It would be interesting to see what happens to the books now that the cases involving all of the accused have seemingly drawn to a close. Does Todano own the books? Did they have some type of policy where they were financially compensated for being defrauded and some insurance company has the books? (Didn't the insurance company own Nic Cage's copy of Action 1 once it was recovered?) Basically this is a collection in limbo of some pretty special books they might not see the light of day for many more years.
  11. So... whatever happened to all of the books? How do people know which was a Tadano book and which was not. The All Star 3 is an easy one but what of the numerous other lesser GA books that should have originally sold for a few hundred and instead sold for a few thousand?
  12. That is one hell of an eBay fee
  13. 1095 / 1092 box in box combo. Bubble around the slab and a few packing peanuts thrown in on either side of the outside of the smaller box to act as a space filler and bumper within the big box. I expect the boxes to be thrown around and I want to protect my buyer's purchase. Some may think that this is overkill but most are appreciative and impressed as the majority of items sent on eBay seem to be sent in whatever was laying around... that could be a cereal box or a dog biscuit box... BTW... I learned to ship this way after reading the boards.
  14. I thought that even some of the non pedigrees were reaching strong prices. I don't think ASM 17 in 7.5 or the ASM 50 were part of that run.
  15. I thought the ASM books realized some strong prices. I was surprised and for a fleeting moment thought about selling off a few more undercopies.
  16. @porcupine48 He is making the boards great again.
  17. After being boxed the new slabs are weighing in at over 2lbs. The older ones are coming in at just under 2lbs. After what I have learned over the years from this forum I would rather make sure every item is received in the condition advertised rather than simply make a sale. The $6 Flat rate bubble mailer thing was kind of ridiculous though. I cannot imagine sending a slab that way.
  18. Literally had a buyer tell me that it should not cost more than $6 since I should put a slab in a flat rate priority bubble mailer and send it off. smh
  19. He is screwing around. Don't take him seriously.
  20. It was for a 2lb 4oz package shipped priority from NY to California. Came out to be $17.15 via priority. they asked for priority shipping you can check on the USPS site yourself.
  21. Tossed a piece of art on eBay at one of those "wouldn't mind keeping it prices." The piece sold and I was kind of having second thoughts about but a deal is a deal and the buyer REALLY REALLY wanted it. Columbia Comics noticed that the page showed up on Comic Link at auction a few months later and was nice enough to alert me to it. I won it back on Comic Link at auction for a little less than 3/5 of what I sold it for. (Yeah he REALLY REALLY wanted it.)
