Hey guys I have a HP 8300 anyone care to share the settings that you have the best results with right now I scan at 300 dpi and Brightness at 20 and Contrast of 100. Then I have to fix the saturation a bit to get truer color of the book. It also seems to vary book to book with slabs some inner wells are still shiny and give off glare while others end up great. Raw books are perfect

I think Paul Rudd has the ability to be funny, but in no way would I consider him a comedian. I think he is a cool choice for the role. Lets face it of all the superhero's you could bring to the screen ant man better have a little light hearted humor he's not exactly your typical badass superhero

Actually Its pretty easy to do. You just have to rub very lightly with a nice soft eraser. Only go in one direction not back and forth always towards the edge. Essentially you are not erasing but just getting the dirt to adhere to the eraser instead of the book. Clean the eraser and repeat. I like to use a pink school eraser and i rub the eraser on a desk or table until the hard finish comes off the eraser and its nice and gummy. I am a bull in a china shop and I have got it to work. Works best on dirty books other types of dirt or stains best left for the Pro's. But that book in the pic is an easy clean job IMO

I don't know Chris WD is embedded in the culture hell Monopoly and Risk are coming out with WD games. If there is ever a movie which you know has to be in the works or at least some studio is ready to jump on the bandwagon and Green light it it will go into the stratosphere. Now I am not saying BA #12 will not continue to rise and if a movie ever comes out it will go Balllistic. But WD already has a cult/ mainstream hit tv show. Plus how exactly will Harley be presented in a movie? Stand alone? Catwoman movie? Bring back the Joker? If she does go face to face with Batman that would be HUGE. Dc has to play their cards right to maximize $$$$ on that book. On the other hand I picked up a sweet BA#12 today looks @9.4 and a press might hit 9.8 hopefully

How do you figure the weight alone of the lid is a pound or two. Applying slightly more pressure with your hands is not going to break anything. Yeah if you gorilla press the book you will break the glass. Enough pressure to flex the slab a bit is all you need. Otherwise have fun with the glare

My solution to the glare issue is to leave the scanner lid open and push down on the cgc slab firmly with both hands. Not real hard but firmly, and span your hands the length of the slab so the pressure is even. It should flatten out the inner well and the reflections should be all but gone. Before and after

Great looking copy I would bet on a cover split that you can no longer see in the slab. I had a X men 1 that looked VG with a split to the top staple came back 1.8

I was bidding a few months ago and lost a 7.5 at $1975 last second snipe. I did not really have the $ at that moment now the book is up to 3k. I'd like a do over on that one. But I did pick up a 7.0 at $1650 @ 3 months ago with the old wanna sell it off the bay at a discount. I think the bin was $1900

OMG the sky is falling...Anyone stop to think the fact that it is summertime and the show is not on TV at the moment it creating a dip By my math the last 2 books sold for $125 under 12 month GPA and $225 under 90 day Big deal. The book is still trending up on average. Hence this is why it is an Average
