No. What we're doing at this point is picking on someone who is clearly handicapped. The problem with today's youth is they don't want to earn their stripes. Working hard from the bottom up is what we were taught by our parents,kids today want the immediate high paying,no physical job that comes with working your azz off your whole life. There is no "problem with today's youth" that hasn't been a problem with the younger generation since the dawn of civilization. The belief that "kids these days" are any lazier than previous generations is a myth perpetuated by elder populations grown overly-sentimental about the "good ole days", Oakman I don't know how old you are, but I guarantee the generation previous to yours frowned upon kids your age...once... Today's kids will one day grow up to talk about their own children's generation. It's just part of the cycle of life. You know you're old once you start hating the next generation's music...or when you worry about stuff like your lawn. CLEARLY, the OP is an outlier. I've read Nick Bostrom's Superintelligence and found it to be fascinating and horrifying at once. Parts of the text get fairly technical. These parts resonate most with people of a computer or software engineering background. Fortunately, the best parts are all fairly digestible for the sorts of people most likely to engage such a topic in the first place. Here is something that stuck with me. What if an AI system is tasked with the following: Produce the maximum amount of paperclips in the most efficient way possible. From there, the AI decides to exterminate the human race. After all, they use up resources that could be used to efficiently produce paperclips. Subsequently, the AI turns the entire universe into a massive paperclip factory. Well, why can't you program more reasonable instructions with specified limitations? The answer is in Bostrom's book. Great read!

I actually enjoy Friends. I laugh out loud at least once. But I cannot stand Ross. He's arrogant, selfish, and insecure. I can't believe everyone once rooted for Ross and Rachel when Monica and Chandler is the better love story. Ross and Rachel are the worst TV couple of all time. I can't decide if Ted and Robin (HIMYM) is worse or just as bad as Ross and Rachel. I also hate Leonard and Penny (BBT). OMG...Ted and Robin are also horrible. Yes, my wife watches that show as well...which I describe as a Friend's ripoff. These couples have absolutely zero chemistry. Just completely unbelievable. Robin is pretty terrible all-around. She is as likable as a robot. Good looking? Yes. But a big, fat so-what. I don't know why, but she repulses me.

Or an abstract of the thread so that it's a quicker read. Making money is really difficult so some quick one-liners or bullet points would be great. Don't really have time for stuff like details... I will give you an abstract: 24 year-old lives at home with his parents. He claims to have a learning disability and health issues. He collects government assistance. He can't hold a job bagging groceries and blames it on the aforementioned problems with mind and body. He also apparently struggles with even the most basic forms of hygiene, such as trimming nails and facial hair. He can't seem to form even a basic grasp of the comic business, yet insists upon spending what little money he has on bad deals. To make things worse, he has recently gotten a credit card. He makes the most convoluted, ridiculous deals that you can imagine and always seems to screw things up. People here have given top-notch advice over the last several months (or more) and he continues to ignore everyone. He is the single-most helpless SOB that I've ever encountered. At first, it was easy to feel sorry for him. But not anymore. You can lead a horse to the water, but you can't force one to drink.

I was always there about 30 minutes early, my hygiene was so-so when I came to facial hair, I was eager to help others and I had a good attitude until you pissed me off. Everything was so busy there's not really anytime for anything else. Smiling isn't a feeling. It's a physical expression. You can not like something and still smile. It's a skill, and a useful one if you want to move up in any job/career. I can't think of a single job out there where you're not going to have to put up with something/someone you don't especially like. It doesn't mean you have to grimace your way through it. If nothing else, consider it a form of training for voice acting. Your character's emotion won't always match up with your personal emotion. Despite what you're feeling inside, you need to be able to convey a positive outward appearance. And having a good attitude "until you pissed me off"? Give me a break. A while back in this thread, before you found your current job, people were telling you that in an entry-level position you don't have the luxury of being "pissed off" if you want to succeed. You take your lumps and use your dissatisfaction with the job as motivation to improve to eventually EARN your way to a better position. Remember that bosses don't give more hours/promotions/raises...employees EARN them. When you stop trying to blame your boss and realize that you hold all the cards when it comes to improving yourself, you will vastly improve your station. As far as it being so busy that you don't have time for anything else, make time! Go above and beyond. Tell yourself "I'm going to wash these dishes so fast that I'll have 10 minutes at the end of the night to deep scrub that pot until I can see myself in it". Wow your boss. And if your hygiene was only "so-so" in any area and you work in a restaurant, that needs to be addressed IMMEDIATELY. In my experience, customers will give you a second chance if the service is bad or the food isn't perfect, but they will never come back if they think the restaurant or the people who worked it were dirty. I have to agree with Red here regarding the thread doing more harm than good. I agree. The board is simply feeding his addiction for attention. I don't know if the moderators should close the thread, but perhaps we should all think twice before posting here. At this point, everyone is simply banging their head against the wall.

Maybe I'm in the minority here, but I think a 9.8 copy should be around $300 at best. I've held off on this book forever because I think it's so overvalued. Anyone else agree..or not?

Great book, Todd had his personal copies of this book at Dallas. He had Frank sign them for him there! Ahhhh....the only thing better than my book would be TODD's book double-signed. Anyone?

Thanks to Sean and the crew at NYComics for always treating my books with care. I was nervous about cracking out the comic after Frank Miller signed it, but the book retained its grade and looks spectacular with McFarlane's signature alongside! I've said it before but I'm happy to say it again - thanks to Dscott for hooking me up with the Miller signature back in the day. Everyone involved with this book has been a true professional.
