  1. CGC does not authenticate signatures not witnessed by one of their direct employee's or facilitators. If you submit the book it will return with a green label and "name written on cover" notation. If you want this book authenticated you will need to use the other guys.
  2. That is an awesome remarq!!! The way the colored text behind works into the eyes... This gives me hope that mine will update shortly. Seriously congrats on those; wow!
  3. The only time they discount memberships are during November for Black Friday/Cyber Monday/Christmas and those are usually only for the lowest teir membership and you cannot get the discount if you are already a member. Double checking their announcements I don't think they did that this year as they had 10/10 Day back in October:
  4. It's the store exclusive Penthouse comics #1 isn't it? I haven't heard anything negative about them.
  5. "I also got an e-mail with a question mark from the big boss of CCG. He received an e-mail for reported content."
  6. Do you mind if I ask why you would want this graded? You already know CGC will not authenticate the signature and give it a green label of death and there is a very high chance it will not return as a 9.8. I would understand if it was a childhood comic that had some attachment to it, but this is a new (2016) book.
  7. From the chatter most have their books back from the Jim Lee signing with a few stragglers. My remarq is still sitting in SFG; I am not worried yet but will reach out in a another week to CS to check on it. Jim Lee signature only: Shipped Signature/Press: Shipped Remarq: SFG
  8. Just for helpful reference all CGC cases are clear; the labels are what is different. Not only in color but some have custom licensed characters. Official explanations are hidden under the "grading" section on the main page but here are some links: CGC Holder CGC Label *They need to update this section with a custom label option.
  9. but if you don't speak with them on zoom how could you possibly "understand the gravity of our situation and yours." The gravitational exponent assigned to your situation needs explanation! It is also just an interesting coincidence that both new people are CGC specific forum savvy to know how to block profile views before posting. That is just weird and not something someone natively looks for on first sign up.
  10. I heard someone was submitting two different orders in the same box... don't mind me:
  11. You are in luck people here also hate everything else too... EVERYTHING! For me, I was not super impressed with the previews and felt they gave the feel of a B level streaming movie. Outside of internet weirdo's on both sides, I have not heard anyone talk about this movie that wasn't getting some type of compensation.
  12. Sandra is active on twitter and does commissions; if you do not have any luck contacting her I can try to reach out again.
  13. These are also a brand new batch of ordered X-Men labels as there was a delay with slabbing for about a week until they arrived. So this just wastes company resources, employee time, and money for ME shipment costs. This waste is something I surprised hasn't been clamped down on in the name of lean cost cutting.
  14. 35 years.... 1989... everyone going through a slight existential crisis since the 1990s was only ten years ago. Amazing books so far from everyone; always love to see how diverse the mystery boxes are. As well as how generous everyone is, it is always beyond expectations.
  15. "Restoration" can also include accidental marks. I used to have a Hulk #5 with a very old green felt pen mark (on the white area) CGC deemed as being restored, I argued with them for months to no avail. I have seen the same with other random colors in a spot that is obviously not resto and just a scribble, accidental mark, or ink bleed transfer. It is CGC's decision what to call resto and they do a great job at seeing almost everything, but I disagree with their judgement sometimes.
  16. I am sure it will move along eventually, I wont be overly concerned less we enter next month and it is still SFG. I sent in my last CGC 9.8 copy of X-Men #11 (Pressman Variant) for a rogue remarq) but I was asking for a bit extra so we will see how it comes out.
  17. jealous, my remarq is still in SFG and hasn't moved
  18. Not comics related but by coincidence I now work in Mo which is a short drive from Chester, IL (birthplace of Popeye). They have statues of all the characters, a yearly festival, and apparently every summer kids try and steal Popeye's pipe.
  19. Full disclosure these books were sent to CCS during their 50% off back in November for the Jim Lee signing; All three books were 9.6 blue labels without grader notes. I took a wild shot in the dark (they are only moderns) for $30 after not doing any business with due to how badly they mangled some silver age books previously. I believe a stacking bend is something that "should" be pressed out; but I am no expert.
  20. While the forums were down I started a pressing business but got side tracked with my meth addiction and started to swap labels in slabs on the street corner. It was a rough 10 hours.
  21. I received no grader notes on a 9.6, no grader notes on one 9.8, but grader notes on another 9.8.... Its like playing darts, blind. Who knows evil notes lurks in the hearts of the graders.... the Shadow knows!
  22. My remarq is still in SFG; post a pick when yours if finished so I can be envious and bemoan my bad luck while waiting...
  23. Post more picks! I want to see all the cool stuff!
  24. I would not recommend CGC unless you are sending ultra moderns in for their service, which generally equates out to a very hot quick press. There are way to many instances of boardies sending in books for a clean & press and receiving back grader notes of finger prints, bends, etc. This is just my opinion but I also do not believe they "clean" the books. The only problem with any other option is that any good presser is booked for multiples of months and if you send them something now you're not likely to receive it back until after Q4 this year. Unfortunately quality takes time and most are not willing to exchange money to bump you up the line (I am absolutely not ashamed to say that I have tried!)
