I received this from a respected boardie who had it at a 7.5, so I am sticking with that. There is a spot by the middle spine near the two superman on the desk's edge where there are a few small indentations. There's also a slight smudge next to it. On the right edge, there's a tiny tear through the Y in Mystery.

Star Wars #1 - 8.0 - $250 $225

I got this book from the OO. 

Tight, glossy, and clean as heck. 

Slight wear at corners, particularly bottom right edge fc. A couple very tiny color breaking spine tics. There's also some slight waviness along both the right and bottom edge fc that is production related. Light tanning edges of bc - looks worse in scan than in hand. 

I don't mind keeping this, but I just bought some things... you know how that is. Bigger things.

I find it almost impossible to believe Disney will lose the rights to these characters. If they think there's any chance of losing, I'm sure they will settle with the creators/estates out of court to keep the rights. Best case they have to do this and the creators get some money from this mess.

2 years ago I was at a convention as a vendor and the table next to me was a couple of guys selling a big OO collection. Before the doors opened, they let us other vendors get first crack, so I went over and dug through a box.

In there I found a low grade Strange Tales #110, so I asked the price, as nothing was marked. The guy looked at the rough condition and said "eh, how about $10?"

Without a time machine, solicitation dates are the best we have I think. Mike's newsstand also has them both March 9.

If I recall correctly, the stories cross over and I think you might need both to get the full picture of what Rogue is doing, because the stories take place at the same time - that is, they are showing the same sequence of events from different points of view, so there's also no continuity answer to which comes first, as it's still a tie.

I'm hopeful the TV series can actually fix the mess the books turned into. If this series has a -script editor, it's already likely to be better than the books. 

The Hulk scenes were interesting. First time Betty Ross has even been mentioned since Incredible Hulk came out, I think, and it was interesting seeing scenes that originally had Edward Norton being redone with Mark Ruffalo. 

My friend and I went to see Predator 2 in 1990. I was 17, he was 16 1/2. They wouldn't let him in. He was old enough to drive to the theater but not see the movie when we got there. 

As others have said, the basic story is correct. 

It's not the first intercompany crossover of this type, though.

The Squadron Sinister in Avengers #70 was supposed to be mirrored by a team of villainous Avengers analogues in JLoA #75, but the DC version was watered down to the point where you'd only notice if you already knew about it (such as a guy throwing a trash can lid like Cap's shield).

So they tried it again a year later with far more success. Avengers #85 introduces the Squadron Supreme when the Avengers accidentally travel to an alternate world. This is a crossover with Justice League of America #89, where a team of heroes called The Assemblers travels from their own world to the JLA's universe. This team is clearly based on the Avengers, with analogues of Thor, Quicksilver, Scarlet Witch, and Yellowjacket. 

This was an intentional "crossover" planned by the two writers, and predates Submariner 72.

No, I don't see anything like that. There's a bit of... looks like a loss of gloss on the inside front cover, in patches. But no bleed through, and the patches without gloss don't line up with the thing on the outside front cover.

I have a question about getting a book cleaned and pressed, but mainly the "cleaning" part. I'm just not sure exactly what his entails, or accomplishes, and what it doesn't.

I have a really nice Avengers #8 that I've been considering selling due to the preposterous price increases. i ran it by the people on the grading subforum, and the consensus was that it's around an 8.0.

However, afterwards I took a closer look and realized there's something on the front cover that doesn't show up in scans. Something spilled on the cover at some point, leaving a residue splotch. 

You can only see it at an angle - straight on and it's almost undetectable unless you already know its there. 

My question is whether getting it cleaned would remove this. My gut says no, and that any process that would remove this would be harsh enough to count as restoration. But I have no idea what I am talking about as I've never had anything cleaned.

I didn't quite get through Capaldi's run. I did check out a couple of Whittaker first season. 

Capaldi is excellent, but the writing let him down. I also thought Whittaker was good, but stuck in some blah stories. Both deserved better from the show I think. 

Honestly, all the doctors have been very good. Problems with the show are almost never the star's fault. 

I'm not sure the thing is anything. 

But, just to play along. It could be Doctor Strange flying with one of those mystical shields he makes.

They somehow ended up with this mess at the end of the run. 

Petty sure, yeah. I have #158-713 and I don't remember any issues without this logo until the reboot with the new #1 (#667). The only exceptions were variant covers I think, but the regular editions had this one.
